References for Pro Ballerina Jade

Has been 3 years since my last shoot with Jade, due to her travels and Covid, but we managed to get a shoot in this time between her travels. As previously a fantastic time was had shooting several themes but not all we had planned between us, but a great selection of shots with a truly professional person. Already thoughts are to when she returns later in the year and to capture the remaining ideas, Thanks again Jade have a great tour

Had a group shoot with 3 other members of my camera club with Jade yesterday. We each had different ideas of what we wanted to get out of our 4 hour session and not everyone wanted to shoot all the proposed ideas. Jade was very willing to try each of the ideas and, where discussed in advance, had brought clothing to fit in where she could. She is a very sunny lady and full of enthusiasm for what she does. She is also very keen for us togs to get the dance poses correct and offered to review images to ensure we use the technically (dance) best ones. I enjoyed the shoot tremendously, due in no small part to Jade, and thoroughly recommend her.

It's been some 4 years in the making, as Covid put a stop to our original planned shoot but I was delighted to eventually work with Jade. I had arranged a shoot with 3 other photographers and Jade effortlessly accommodated all of their ideas, with valuable insight and input herself.

Pre coms were excellent and, as can be seen, Jade is a highly skilled dancer, which made my job really easy. I did not need to give any directions, leaving me to concentrate on taking the photos. She is also, great fun, articulate and super easy to work with.

I wanted to experiment with painting using light tubes, and this was my first effort at it. I've only edited one image, but boy, am I pleased! I'm genuinely exited about processing the other images. This genre doesn't really lend itself to studio photography as well as shots on location, which I'd love to do with Jade again, if she's available, but hopefully when the weather is warmer!

Jade's professional dancing commitments takes her abroad for much of the year, so grab her while you can. Highly recommended. Thanks for making the shoot go smoothly.

My third shoot with Jade. What can one add to all the other references highlighting her professionalism, skills, sense of humour, skills, very welcome creative input (& fruit pastilles). Four hours disappeared in seemingly no time at all. Creative input from Jade is genuinely beneficial as she knows what she can do when I may not.

Would you recommend? "Yes" seems such an understatement!

I recently shot with Jade, we had been discussing shooting for months, however covid had put a stop to that.

I’m so glad that we finally managed a shoot, as I really wanted some more fine art images featuring a dancer! Jade was perfect for it! I had two plans, a rain shoot plan and a shoot plan if it doesn’t rain, she knew my plans well in advance and came prepared, even to shoot in the rain if it started chucking it down.

We were really lucky and dodged the rain and created some wonderful images. I had Jade leaping into the air several times, and she didn’t stop until we got the shot.

Ive not yet edited the images, but Jade very patiently helped me choose images that show her at her best. I’m hoping that when she comes back to the UK we can shoot again and this time get the rain shots!

I highly recommend working with Jade, she was fantastic in every sense!

....... 2nd Shoot with Jade and also this time with Hamish, and what a fabulous 2 hour shoot that just flew by .... Literally with several themes and shoot ideas, myself having been busy with work just asked for Red. & Black. As first shoot with Jade we smashed some great shots with black and white props and Jade in Red. Look forward to 12 months time to another shoot when Jade returns from work. Andy

I had previously met Jade very shortly when we were both working with other people at NLS and didn't think I would get the opportunity to work with her before her departure from UK for a year but then saw there was availability in the duo day and knew I had to book for a session. Wow I am so glad I did. We had great pre shoot communication to discuss ideas and came up with a theme for the session which worked out brilliantly. Jade and Hamish were Brill working great together to get the shots and we seemed to be able to bounce ideas off each other to come up with more. The session went far too quickly but was so much fun and I will definitely be hoping to work with Jade again when she returns to UK

Just had a wonderful couple of hour shooting with Jade & Hamish at Natural Light Space. What can I say about the session, other than it was a fantastically creative shoot, with all 3 of us bouncing ideas around & finding ways to get the shots we wanted.

I would highly recommend working with both Jade & Hamish, the effort, commitment & professionalism shone through.

Thank for a very quick, but fantastically creative couple of hours.

Excellent shoot with Jade and dance partner Hamish at Natural Light Spaces. Last session of a busy day for them so planned a quiet lazy style initially with them creating poses reflecting stretching and relaxation after a performance. Made good use of old upright piano as a prop - useful for standing and holding whilst stretching. Both Jade and Hamish contributed with their own ideas. Despite a dull rainy day outside still able to use natural light with modern sensors showing much more than human eye! Good images available with closeups of Jade's ballet shoes and legs!

Final session with studio flash and gentle jumping! Both took on board an idea for a composite picture and enthusiastically did several repeats to get the right result.

I wish them both all the best as they separately go off for major projects and hope to see them again in the future.

A second shoot with Jade in just 10 days (something to do with her having to get a year on a cruise ship to get away from me!). She seems to have a never-ending energy and talent and is a joy to work with. Jade is always trying to see what SHE can do to get the photo that YOU want and also puts forward her own ideas which have yet to be anything other than good and achievable.

I look forward to her return to these shores.

WOW ..... where do I start this time.

Jade and I had a shoot two weeks ago at The Natural Light Spaces and had a really phenomenal time there and captured images I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I knew Jade was going away and my busy time table did not allow me to shoot with her again but I convinced one of my lovely customers to move them and I was able to fit in a shoot based in London where we would shoot locations for eight hours.

Well the day came and we had to play to the weather which was kind to us most of the day and rained a couple of times but it was not the warmest of weather, but not once did Jade moan about how cold it was or how far we walked. I was so so surprised at her abilities and resilience to cope in these conditions compared to a warm studio from two weeks ago, hat off to you, you were amazing.

From the minute we started shooting yesterday her ability to be captured on camera and keep repeating the jumps till we got them as we both liked them was amazing, nothing I asked her to do or recreate was ever a problem.

We covered 9.4 miles yesterday in the cold windy conditions and she was still up for more, I was so warn out from all the walking yet alone dancing as well and at no point in the day did Jade's enthusiasm, energy or willingness to carry on waver at all. Completely blown away as I have never worked on location with someone as incredible as Jade.

We shoot six sets and now have the impossible job of getting through the images to decide what to keep and edit as so many we captured are truly inspiring and so difficult to know I think I will be editing nearly all of them as Jade is so consistent in delivering the correct pose to be captured.

I have photographing model with ballet shoes to dancers for a few years now but never have I come across someone who is so dedicated and Professional in her chosen career and such a warm and wonderful person to be around it now makes my life nearly impossible as a photographer to know where to go from here as the two shoots we had together were like being given an opportunity you never feel you would get or deserve and then experiencing it and the other side feeling you were so very lucky to be able to be a part of that journey and constantly pinching yourself to know you were not dreaming.

Jade I can't thank you enough for working with me and going on this journey to capturing so many sublime and phenomenal images that will stay with me forever. Needless to say I would recommend Jade as an incredibly Professional dancer to any future employer of photographer to work with, you will not be disappointed.

I had a lovely first shoot with Jade today. I met her from the station, and she she strolled down from the platform grinning (behind her mask) pulling her wheeley suitcase behind her, full of all the outfits that I had requested. I'd prepared a shoot plan around the helpful suggestions that Jade had made in her excellent pre-shoot comms. We started with some fashion shots, which Jade absolutely nailed before moving onto the ballet and contemporary dance sets. Well, Jade was just spell bindingly brilliant. We soon got into the routine of focusing, counting Jade in, taking the shot and Jade seeing the outcome. We were both really thrilled with the back of camera images. Jade was just leaping into the air all morning. What impressed me was that she then got her feet in the right position to land safely, whereas I would have been that proverbial sack of potatoes on the floor! Jade was up for anything that I suggested, executing everything to precision, and was a total perfectionist for making sure that the image was right. Jade is also great fun to spend the time of the shoot with. I can't recommend this lovely lady enough to photographers of all levels. Thank-you so much Jade, I'm really thrilled with the images.

Jade and I had superb pre-shoot communications, She arrived to our shoot on time and fully prepared, she was aware of how I wanted our shoot to progress and was effortless to work with.

During our shoot Jade was chatty, engaging and an absolute pleasure to shoot.

Nothing was too much trouble for Jade, the limited ideas and mumbling gestures I gave were perfectly interpreted and her elegance and poise created the shoot. Jade really did produce the goods.

I wish I had the ability to shoot with her again before she leaves for work abroad, when she gets back from the ships I will be booking her again. I would thoroughly recommend working with her.

This was not a normal shoot with Jade. During lockdown I had decided that I needed ballerina reference pieces for my new art project, and after searching through the site for acceptable images, I found Jade's port and began communication with a view to purchasing some of her images.

Jade's professional approach was first class, always responding in a timely manner, very courteous and easy to get along with, nothing has been too much trouble, an all round pleasure to deal with, and a model I wouldn't hesitate to use again, and would highly recommend to all creatives.

This is only the fifth review for Jade but a strong pattern is already emerging. This shoot took about six months to come to fruition but it was worth the wait. Jade has a truly professional attitude, is a great dancer, happy to try anything (safe!) and good company while shooting. Jade was always willing to help think of ways to get the shots that I wanted. I will be very happy to shoot with her again.

Where do I start .....

From the first images I ever saw that Jade kindly shared with us here on Purpleport I could see she was truly inspirational. I have been very fortunate with models who can dance and ballet dancers taking wonderful images of them. Over the years I have been to many ballets in London and this is what really inspired me to after seeing images of Jade that I needed to work with her.

Like many of us the lockdowns and diaries meant it took us a long time to get together but the wait was really worth it as it gave us more time to get ideas together. Pre comms were amazing and detailed so we both knew were heading in the same direction.

We were extremely fortunate as well to be able to shoot at Natural light spaces where the height of the building and the owners attention to detail is magnificent.

Well the day came for our shoot and I have never been as nervous and excited at the same time, I collected Jade from the nearby station which gave us more time to discuss what we were going to shoot. On arrival at the studio we had a really warm welcome from Tris the owner and we started to set up. The natural light on the day was amazing as well which allowed us to capture many magnificent images.

Jade is extremely professional and we kept reviewing images on the lap top to to see we were getting the images to how we both wanted them which is amazing for me as this is the way I love to work. We captured 328 quality images which I will treasure forever.

I will really miss Jade going back overseas for up to a year but know I will have the best set of images I have ever captured as well as being able to share a wonderful day with a truly dedicated and inspiring ballet dancer.

I would highly recommend Jade to any photographer who is looking to shoot a ballet dancer rather the a model with ballet shoes.

After such a long enforced break from shooting it was a fabulous shoot to start back with, We have been trying to organise this shoot through all the lockdowns so was fantastic to actually meet Jade and shoot with her.

Jade is extremely professional , the images speak for themselves with the energy Jade bought to the shoot after all the lockdowns was incredible and her ability to hold a pose is amazing.

I look forward to another shoot to capture more stunning ideas.
