Bruv and I visited the excellent and very friendly Waist.It (Garf) today. I had discussed on the PP forums a problem I’d been having with sync leads & converter jacks not working. Garf very generously offered to diagnose and fix the problem if I cared to visit. We had a great social visit, chatted about all sorts, drank coffee (kindly made by Garf’s wife Zsuzanna.) Garf made me a new, improved (& reliable) connector lead at his electronics test bench. When complete, we tested the new connector by doing a portrait session in which we persuaded Garf to be the model. We were very impressed with Garf’s professional studio setup and we see that he is a popular & knowledgeable photographer who does lots of his trademark fitness/beauty/retro style shoots. Recommended to all.

This was my first shoot with waist.it. Had a fantastic shoot with waist.it at the weekend! Pre communication was great! (Incliding a phone call) I learned some fascinating information during the shoot regarding some of the kit and props used, as well as when some of the outfits would have been used and who by! Very fun, interesting shoot and cant wait for our next one! Waist.it is very professional right down to the health safety! His wife Zsuzie makes a absolutely wonderful lunch...Yummy! Looking forward to shooting again in the near future! Highly recommend!!!

This was my first shoot with Garf and his lovely wife and also my first vintage pin-up shoot.

From the first message, he sent me Garf has been nothing but kind and respectful even including a lengthy detailed phone call so myself and my friend could get to know him before the shoot!

The shoot itself was the most fun I've had lasting longer than it was supposed to since we lost track of time! I would like to work with them both again hopefully during the summer to get some outside shots as well!

Would definitely recommend working with Garf, you are sure to have a fun time and get some great photos.

From the precoms which were truly informative to the day, themes and the clothes which were selected by Garfs lovely wife, the whole experience was fun, relaxed and really educational

Can not wait to hopefully work with him again and would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to try this style of photography!!

First shoot with Garf yesterday.

The time and effort put into the day schedule was outstanding, very detailed which is ideal for both experienced and new models. The studio set out and equipment is very professional, the range of costumes and props is extensive.

Garfs experience shows through in the interaction we had throughout the day and the photos taken. Both Garf and his wife provide great advice and encouragement, which made me feel at ease shooting with them. They both went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable through; providing a separate changing room and toilet, ensuring I was at the right temperature, offering beverages throughout the day, and inducing an all round welcoming atmosphere.

Some of the advice received was around posture, hand positioning and pose which was of great help to me, and I'm sure would help new models looking for advice starting in the industry.

One element which sets Garf apart from other photographers is he explains what, how and why he is utilising certain props, lighting and backdrops which is both fascinating and important for models to understand.

I would defiantly recommend this photographer and assistant. I look forward to my next shoot.

After waiting for so long I finally got to shoot with Garf today. Communications were great and a shoot plan made everything so clear I knew exactly what I was doing. Garf is an amazing photographer who not only took great shots but also gave me lots of useful tips to make the photo look perfect.

I love his style of work which will definitely add more variety to my own portfolio.

I felt very comfortable around Garf and his lovely wife, I just can't wait to shoot with Garf again.

Had my first shoot today. Pre comms were fabulous and a lot of detail and effort was put into planning the shoot to make the most out of the day. Garfield and his wife were very welcoming upon arrival of me and my pre-agreed chaperone.

Preparations were put in place to make sure I was warm and comfortable at all times, I had a private space to change outfit, and I even had a delicious lunch kindly made for me and my chaperone to keep my energy levels up.

Throughout the shoot, both Garfield and his wife remained very professional and at no point did i feel uncomfortable. Garfield and his wife gave great direction and instructions and checked regularly with me that I was happy with what we were shooting. Garfield took great care in preparation before and during each set of images produced on the day as well as explaining why certain elements were being changed e.g lighting so I could gain a greater understanding of how to model. I learned a lot on this shoot from posture and positioning, to how the lighting works. I feel really positive with the many images I have come away with!

Overall I had a wonderfully positive experience full of fun and would defiantly recommend especially for those new to modeling!

What a fun-filled day! My second shoot with Garfield and it definitely won't be my last! Pre-comms once again faultless, the shoot allowed for both planned ideas and some spur-of-the-moment creations too. Garfield puts the safety and comfort of the model first and foremost and takes his role seriously, whilst remaining laidback and enthusiastic. His wife is always on hand to assist with anything that is needed and still makes the best rolls! I used a mixture of my costumes and accessories and their lingerie, a lovely fluffy coat and props for a christmas themed shoot. Anyone with a love for vintage and retro styles should be booking a shoot! And as i always say, the two full length mirrors are super helpful for quickly correcting posture. I can't recommend enough.

I had my first shoot with Garf on the 4th November at his studio located at this home. I had a very warm welcome and a help with my bags from my car. Garf and his wife made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived to the time I left. The studio set up was very professional and well equipped. Right from the start I felt very comfortable and relaxed due to Garf and his wife being very considerate and kind, they had a separate bathroom for me to get changed in to have privacy while changing which made me very comfortable.

While setting up or changing the set, I have some very good conversations with both Garf and his wife. They both were very interesting people and made the effort to make and continue conversations with me which also calmed any nerves I had. Garf's wife was especially kind with helping me with wardrobe changes and helping me with poses, it was really comforting having another female at the shoot to help me. During the shoot Garf was very considerate and gave me breaks to regain my strength, he was never pushy or put any pressure on me. He made the shoot fun and the time fly.

I was made lunch by Garf's wife, which was one of the best cheese and ham sandwiches I've ever had, which is something that really makes them stand out from the crowd as many photographers do not do this.

The costumes and props that they provided were all clean and very beautiful. Again the consideration for the model was outstanding.

I would highly recommend Garf and his wife to anyone looking to model and have fun while modelling as this was the best experience I have had at a photoshoot. I really cannot wait to work with Garf again!

on sunday was my first photo shoot. it was a pleasure. before the photoshoot was very worried but after half an hour I was feeling very good. Thank you so much for sharing your knowlege about posing, thank you to your wife, she doing excellent job. I really like this time, I hope that we will work together again. Now I look to my body differently, I believe what I can to do more that think, Thank You for that expirience.

Recommend him to every model. You will look at your body much better.

My first photoshoot with Garf at his home studio and I think it went very well. He and his lovely wife were super professional and easy to get along with and just chat to. Pre-comms were very detailed with messages, a phone call, and a fully detailed and personalised shoot plan. They provided an excellent range of outfits and accessories and have a very nice setup.

They both put a lot of time and effort into the shoot and I would definitely recommend working with Garf!

It's always nerve racking when going to a photoshoot having never met the photographer. However, Garf was kind, considerate and positively chatty. Having arrived earlier than expected, Garf and his wife were more than accommodating to me and my chaperone. We were offered a beverage and some breakfast which was very kind.

When doing the shoot they ensured that i was comfortable with every costume i wore and Garf's lovely wife helped with any costume adjustments needed.

The shoot was fun, exciting, memorable and i 100% recommend Garf.

I look forward to seeing the finished photos as Garf allowed me to see different shots during the day and they already looked amazing.

I admire his 50's/60's photography style and love all the costumes he provided. I truly got to experience a 50's/60's fashion shoot.

Wow. What a fantastic shoot I had today! Finally I was able to shoot with Garf and meet his absolute gem of a wife, who both straight away made me feel very comfortable and at home. I could chat to the pair for hours! We did a series of lots of vintage style shoots and I was excited that I was able to express my personality through the pictures. It was very refreshing to see a photographer know exactly what images he would like to produce and I'm happy I could help him achieve it :) fantastic direction (even if I did keep bending the wrong knee!) And a fascinating person to talk to :) definitely recommend and 100% Will be shooting again :)

Had a wonderful first shoot with Garfield and his wife yesterday. Garfields studio was fully equipped and lovely and warm! ( I've been to a few shoots where the studio is very cold. So a nice warm studio is a big positive for me!)

Garfield and his wife were very welcoming and friendly and helped me feel at ease.

Pre shoot communications were excellent and very detailed, everything was covered! Garfield has a huge selection of costumes and props that I was very excited to use! Garfield was very good with his direction and communication throughout the shoot. His wife is absolutely adorable, like a mother figure! Nothing was too much trouble for Garfield and his wife.

The attention to detail is remarkable.

Highly recommend and would love to shoot with again!

I had my 3rd shoot with Garfield and his lovely wife zsuszi on Saturday and had such a great time (as per usual)

We shoot in his studio at his home in Havant which is decked out with all sorts of kit, lights and backdrops. There is always a fantastic array of ever-growing vintage/ retro style outfits to make use of and Im always looking forward to seeing what new things they have in.

I always really appreciate the fact that there is a shoot plan in place before we commence shooting and am always very impressed with the detail and effort gone into it so we both know exactly what we will be doing on the day (although we always get carried away with something else and end up not getting round to half of it lol)

You will be looked after very well by them both, made to feel very comfortable at all times and will always be offered a cuppa which is always a bonus ;)

Highly recommend shooting with Garfield, you will have some fabulous images to add to your portfolio and just have an all round great shooting experience! :)

I have just arrived home from my shoot with Garfield today and I am so pleased with the shots that we have managed to create together. Garfield has impeccable attention to detail, noticing every single line and curve of the body and the clothes that cover it. I was put through a retro fitness boot camp. That's the only way I can describe it but don't be fooled... I LOVED IT! Garfield takes his photography very seriously so I recommend him to models who have a genuine interest in retro/pin up genre and who really wish to improve on their poise and posture. The more work you put in, the more you will get from it in return. I have never recieved so much direction as I have today so it was a totally different feel to my usual shoots, but I was made to feel comfortable throughout by Garfield and his wife zsuzsi who is an absolute diamond! Pin up lovers need to take advantage of any opportunity to shoot with Garfield, he can and will teach you a shed load that you can transfer to your other shoots.

Had my first shoot with Garfield and absolutely loved it! Garf and his lovely wife Zsuzsi looked after me very well and made sure I was warm and comfortable at all times! Garf was polite, professional and so easy to get along with. I had fun and really look forward to seeing the final images.

They had a fantastic range of vintage outfits to choose from and we managed to go through a lot of costume changes. Pre-shoot communications were great and I was provided with a detailed plan a few weeks prior to the shoot so I knew exactly what to expect.

We shot all day and I'm not really sure where the time went so fast! It was one of my favourite shoots so far and I can’t recommend him enough to any model looking for fun and exciting new images!

I had a shoot with Garfield and his gorgeous wife Zsuzsi recently and I have to say how amazing it was!

Garfields communicaion was spot on, he sent me a shoot plan which was detailed to perfection so I knew exackly what to expect on the day.

I had to unfortunately cancel a couple of times prior to the eventual agreed date due to personal reasons but Garf was very understanding of this which I really appreciated.

Garf has an amazing set up, a spacious room in his warm family home which he has turned into a studio. Garf has an amazing array of props and was full of ideas for the shoot.

All 3 of us got on really well which helped to break the ice and I felt comfortable and relaxed. Zsuzsi did everything she could to make me feel welcome and relaxed, offering me drinks and helping me with wardrobe alterations and props. We shot all day from around 11:30-17:00 and we could have continued if it wasn't for all of us getting a little bit tired which is always a good sign!

We mainly focused on a vintage and fitness theme which was right down my street and Garf had plenty of ideas to throw around.

I won't go on too long but I highly recommend working with this lovely couple if you want to add something a little bit different to your portfolio.

I hope to work with you two again and I can't wait to see the photos!

Had a very interesting third shoot with Garfield and Zsuzsi as my sister joined us.

I really enjoyed this shoot as Garfield guided us to work together and have good photos that portrayed our relationship as sisters, showcasing the fun girly side of trying on clothes/corsets and posing together.

Even though my sister had different ideas to the initial shoot plan, Garfield was very patient and considerate to her. He handled the situation gracefully and we all ended up very happy with the results. Zsuzsi was very supportive throughout the shoot, always looking out for details and keeping the atmosphere very comfortable and enjoyable. Looking forward to our next shoot together! :)
