I am absolutely delighted with the photos as always! Thank you so much and for helping me on my skates not roll into anything and for all of your support. It was a challenge but so much fun to bring the idea to life/create. I think the black blackground is striking against the red dress and I love the pink outfit.Really appreciate all your patience when I was making the finishing touches to makeup/seams matching.

Waist.it have a keen eye for fine-tuning all the details and instinctively knowing which base pieces will layer and work best infront of the camera/shape/fittings.They put so much time and effort into the capturing the model in moments where they shine and creating stunning images with very carefully and thoughtfully chosen edits.They offer really helpful posing and posture coaching for bringing out the best in the model and have a wonderful openess to trying out different fun and quirky ideas,the wackier the better,are mindful about timings for when the model is at their best/how long the sessions need to be and the home studio is immaculate with a whole wardrobe to experiment with, highly professional artistic approach and highly recommended.Waist.it are always mindful about the model’s comfort/energy levels etc.

An absolute pleasure as always working with Waist.it, I am absolutely delighted with the fabulous photos, we have been working on posture/training exercises for posture and being camera-ready with pose practice, I really appreciate the time and effort that has gone into editing the photos, article writing and really helpful feedback helping me hone the craft. We blended some of Waist.it’s shapewear pieces with the outfits I brought and I think they worked beautifully. I am learning so much from each shoot and wonderful work. So much effort goes into the studio setup and model experience: private changing rooms, costume selection, changes in mirror and different lighting positioning and projector for pose/retro model inspiration.

Absolutely brilliant photographer, the shoot started with a show around of the fire exits and private changing area that the models use and signing a form. All very professional. Garf knew I was anxious to shoot as I’m new to it all, but as soon as I stepped into the studio all my worries left. We had so much fun, 6 hours of shooting, lots of outfit changes and along with Garf his wife Suzie helped with my posture and posing (I have the tendency to slouch and hunch) both have the best attention to details. The endless amounts of props and costumes they have is amazing. Before I had even left the studio, within the first set I knew I wanted to work with Waist.it again! can’t wait for the next shoot.

I really appreciate Waist.it making sure we got through a good handful of the costumes I brought and for spending a generous amount of time bringing my quirky creative vision to life, the angled mirror pose was challenging with keeping them still but I thought it was a clever idea and I think the results will be worth it. Time flew by and we went over by a couple of hours as Waist.it very kindly wanted to make sure we did the outfits justice. I really appreciate them checking in with how I felt wearing the Waist.it swimsuits and shapewear and that we got some photos in two of the swimming costumes I brought. I think we work well as a creative team :)

I loved being in Garf’s and his lovely wife’s company, they’re very funny together and great people to be around.

It’s great learning about the history whilst shooting. And the eye to detail from the two of them is brilliant. They both helped me a lot throughout the shoot for which I’m grateful. I can’t wait to see the results.

We didn’t manage to finish the entire shoot plan which was a shame however would really love to work with them again! Highly recommend:-)

I am absolutely delighted with these photos,a pleasure as always to work with Waistit. I really appreciate the mirror being there so I can see exactly how the pose is coming across in the camera.Time always flies, I very much enjoy working with them and look forward to our next shoot. Waistit have been great with giving me clear supportive feedback with piecing costumes together so they will look their best on camera and achieve that desired hourglass shape, and really helpful constructive feedback for posing and positioning.I am working especially on leg-positioning and slowing down movement to capture the image. I always feel happy,very comfortable with them and doing cabaret was lots of fun. Waistit are great about blending creative ideas so everyone gets to chip in with their ideas. I really appreciate seeing Betty Paige’s swimwear photos on the screen for inspiration and it gave me a good idea of what Waistit’s vision was for the shoot. Waistit have a nice selection of vintage props which is that cherry on top of the cake for the end-result with hand-positioning and being true to the time period.The studio has a lovely selection of base-piece shapewear, corsetry, footwear and swimwear costumes for layering under the outfits I bring to the shoot and immaculate changing room facility.I have been inspired by shapewear base-pieces to invest in for creating multiple,different seamless silhouette looks. Big thank you to Waistit for writing these really lovely blog posts and for letting me have first pick of the photos I like best and for featuring the photos we both like from the shoot in them, thank you very much for all the coaching/mentoring,tea/hospitality and all their support with my journey.

I very recently had the pleasure of working with Waist.it for a retro fitness shoot. Photographer Garf and studio assistant Susannah were very courteous, especially kind and respectful of boundaries with modesty comfortability with selecting outfits. We got through a lot of different outfits in the time and ended up running an hour later than planned for the all-day shoot as I think we all lost track of time and were absorbed in the colourful creative vision. They were considerate and gracious hosts of the mosts, frequently checking in with comfort in each outfit with them being style-wise very tight-fitting for the era, how I felt about trying on the different pinup style outfits for retro fitness, break, tea, and they were very accommodating and gave me some great direction and transparency about what they were looking for. I particularly enjoyed having my mum there to chaperone/makeup assistant/team up with Susannah for that woman’s eye for noticing the important details.

Waist.it have a very keen eye for detail and are very specific with what they are after with posing/posture/clothing fit etc. as with retro it is all about the fine details and having excellent posture. I think you need a woman’s eye for fine-tuning those details/colour coordination, Garf and Susannah together make a creat creative team. I learned a lot from the shoot, it was very professional/home studio setting, I very much enjoyed creatively collaborating with outfit and pose and prop ideas. Waist.it are very knowledgeable about the history of the time period I was modelling for which I found intriguing and very clear about their objectives for the look and overall feel of the shoot. I was particularly impressed with the transparent communication and thoroughly detailed shoot plan for each set objective, lat flow test request and expectations. This was my first time modelling vintage shapewear/beach/pinup/Audrey-Hepburn shoot and I really appreciate their openness to my suggestions to my ideas. They have invested a lot of time and effort into preparing the studio for models: private changing area, chaperone policy, costumes, planning, props etc. It was an absolute delight and I really enjoyed the experience, you have a lot of fun combining outfits you bring and the costumes provided.

I recently had one of my very first professional shoots with Garf. His tendency to be extremely transparent is commendable. In fact, this is what made me trust him more!

The detailed shoot plan was so thorough in making me aware of what exactly we would be doing. As well as the phone calls that we had in order to resolve any concerns I had! Garf was very reliant and accommodating! He ensured my safety on the journey to him and made sure I was headed in the right direction. Of course, being in a new town I was worried about being alone for too long, and Garf ensured that I would be comfortable and so at the train station he collected me right on time. Even took me to the corner shop on the way to his home so I could grab a couple snacks!

Garf has an amazing studio at his home. It's so clean and organised (I even commended him for how organised it was). His wife Zsuzi is so kind. She assisted me with my costume changes and even prepared a sandwich for me. It was so nice of her. Him and his wife are such easy people to be around because it never felt awkward. They spoke to me so kindly. Zsuzi was also always present during the shoot which also increased my comfort levels while working with them.

The shoot did exceed our original plan, by a little over an hour, but it wasn't a problem as we had so much fun!! I absolutely had a blast, therefore it's a 10/10 recommendation for me.

Hopefully we can work together again.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Garfield on a retro-fitness themed photoshoot. Right from the initial contact, Garfield ensured everything was professionally organised.

Prior to the shoot day, Garfield and I connected over a pre-shoot call where we discussed the vision for the shoot and concepts. I was then sent a detailed shoot plan to review in advance as well.

On the day of the shoot, everything went incredibly smoothly. Garfield was kind enough to pick me up from the station, making me feel safe and taken care of from the very first moment.

His home studio has everything a photographer and model could need. The lighting set up is fantastic, and Garfield is also able to seamlessly change backdrops with the push of a button.

Garfield has a very calm and gentle approach which put me at ease. His wife was there on the day to help out with outfits and costume changes (of which they have plenty!). She also kindly made me a sandwich for lunch, which was a very sweet gesture and much appreciated.

The photos from the shoot came out beautifully. I am thrilled with the end results and will definitely be showcasing these images in my portfolio.

I would definitely recommend Garfield to any fellow models - it was a pleasure to work with such a professional photographer!

I had my very first studio shoot on Saturday with the lovely Garf and his wonderful wife. I had no idea what to expect and being a mature woman with no experience I was a little apprehensive. I didn’t need to worry at all - the loveliest, most hospitable people and I felt very comfortable.

I had a planned photo shoot sent weeks before that changed slightly as Garf wanted to try different lights and looks which I was happy to try and let him take the lead.

I highly recommend Garf as a very experienced photographer and I certainly learnt so much throughout the day - communication impeccable and props and costumes available in abundance !

His lovely wife helped with direction and what I should wear and was present the whole time. The day zoomed past and we still didn’t shoot all that was planned.

I would love to work with them again and hoping that from how wonderful Garf made me look that others feel a little more confident, and even though slightly older, someone can make you feel young at heart, liberated, and you can be anyone you want !

I had a great time and the photos are fabulous !!

Garf and his wife Zsuzsi were lovely people to work with.

I was looking for the right person and photographer for a pilates/fitness and ballet photoshoot, and i am glad Garf was the one. He was very professional from the very beginning, which is extremely important to me. After talking and discussing what we want to achieve, he then made an amazing plan document and sent it to me. The photoshoot was very fast-paced, but we all worked as a team and Garf and Szuszi were great. I think there are some very special images, as I saw some of them during the photoshoot.

Of course, I do recommend Garf! :-)

Before the shoot Garf and I had set up, Garf and I spoke on the phone about the shoot and what is expected. After this Garf sent me a shoot plan with everything in it and the expectations. Upon arriving Garf and his wife had a set routine which worked well. Zsuzsi helped with costumes and making sure I was okay. They both were very passionate about the shoot and we chatted a lot throughout. Was such a great shoot and we are already planning the next one. I would highly recommend Garf.

I had my first shoot with Garf last Saturday and it was wonderful. Garf and his wife are really friendly, very hospitable, easy going and even made us some lovely coffee! I find it important to mention that they also keep an incredibly high hygiene as it should be with the clothing and have a whole system to wash them imidiently after a model has used them, along with making sure the model is comfortable and doesn't have to worry about anything. Through the poses, the work is quite tiring, however even so every minute of it is worth it and a pleasure by working alongside such a helpful, efficient and happy couple, that I even forgot I was tired until we left! They were both really professional and brilliant. Before the day of the shoot, Garf provided materials as a start to display what kind of fashion and look he goes for, by providing old fashioned famous models from the time that had similar body set to me and provided a plan with everything needed and recommended for the shoot. That was a key appreciating element for me, since it had everything needed to know in there for the organised shoot so therefore I was able to prepare accordingly and knew exactly what we are doing through out the whole day. I truly appriciate our work together and would love to work with them at any time in the future! Needless to say, very strongly recommended!

I enjoyed meeting and working with Garf and his lovely wife Zsuzsi at his home studio. Our time flew by and was very productive achieving some superb works together.

Communications leading up to and during our shoot were excellent so I knew exactly what to expect during our session. We produced some beautiful images and Garf was full of ideas and happy to hear any ideas you may have. Zsuzsi helped with pose correction which I greatly appreciate.

We started with an introduction and tea and then got down to our shoot. They made sure I was feeling comfortable and that I was happy with everything as we progressed.

Garf is such a nice person and it was lovely to chat away whilst shooting. A complete professional, friendly and down to earth plus very respectful.

I really enjoyed my photoshoot with Garf, he and his wife were very welcoming and had some amazing costumes to make it a really fun shoot. Garf is very organised and has a great attention to detail. He had lots of ideas for the photoshoot and I was really happy with the photos he produced.

I found his advice on posing very helpful and on reflection, this made me feel even more confident on my following photoshoots and I had some great feedback regarding the variety and fluency of my poses!

Highly recommended and look forward to a future photoshoot when it is safe to do so, after the lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Had an amazing shoot! Was something really different compared to what I usually do. Garf supplied a range of vintage outfits in my size, and also incorporated some of my own things too. Pre shoot communications were very good, he provided a very detailed plan of the day. He was very fun, professional, easy going, and I loved wearing all the vintage clothing, especially the corset, and using the smoke machine was so much fun. Him and his wife make a great team, and would love to work with them again. Would definitely recommend.

I first shot with Garf back in 2016, he was in fact my first ever proper shoot so I was delighted to work with him again. Garf and his wife are so welcoming and professional,nothing is too much trouble for them.

As a photographer garf is really creative and we spent most of the shoot trying different things, most of which were brand new to both of us but I enjoyed trying them out.

This was my second shoot with waist.it.It was really intresting and definitely my favourite till now.Im so happy to see the photos. They look amazing. We mixed together mine outfits with vintage outfits and they looked great together. They have so much outfits and I'm honoured to wear them.The studio is really great. It gives you so many options. Garf is so amazing photographer.Always he knows how to make look beautiful in every photo. I'm grateful for chanse to work with so lovely team as Garf and his wife. I highly recommend!
