Bloody hell it's been too long...

Vonbatcat madness has totally and entirely possessed me and I just can't stop.

Shot with John at Boardroom Studio on my model day. He's brought a million of incredible outfits... Of course we didn't have enough time to do all of them. We never do to be honest, because ideas flow front and back so much we can just shoot for a century non stop and probably still ran out of time haha.

Hoping that the world sorts itself out so that we can continue working on our creative plans.

Wow wow wow first thing that comes to mind about John and his amazing creativity,Iv been looking forward to shooting with John for a while and I certainly wasn’t disappointed,he is such a lovely genuine guy,the shoot plan he put together was absolutely amazing I was just so impressed with everything,working with John is every girls dream as you get to play dress up yeeeah,we had Fun sticking,glueing and tapeing things and me together,the shoot absolutely flew by.i am so excited to c the photo,I must also give a shout out to johns wife Kaye who is just as lovely

I 100% recommend to every model who wants to have fun and create some mega photos

What more could you ask for... oh a charming, professional, down to earth and inspiring photographer I hear you ask? I had a simply cracking first shoot with VonBatCat at his awesome studio space. Firstly …what a guy! VBC is such an incredibly individual photographer/designer/visionary with soooo much fantastic energy, so many original ideas and an absolute inspiration to be around. VBC strays from the norm, in fact he relishes in his own unique path of creativity and trust me, he won’t be capturing the same head-and-shoulders portrait image or mundane lingerie images like a lot of your predecessor togs (no, sir)... With his multiple sets of pvc, lace and instruments of torture (…not really, well kinda, I’ll just leave that there) you are guaranteed to capture something simply out of this world, through into another realm and landing on planet VBC. But to top it off, John is also incredibly professional, consciences and very well-organised.

This was an incredibly enjoyable shoot… and I can’t emphasise this enough.

I had so much fun playing dress up and trying not to laugh at the prospect of props and head pieces falling off that I dare say the images took secondary importance! And to top it off, anyone who plays rock music throughout the entire shoot is an instant YESSS!! in my book. With VBC’s experience, fantastic port and high-quality editing skills, I have absolutely no doubt that he will produce some incredible images and with a unique twist. Love it Love it Love it 😊 Thanks you so so much John!! X

John and Kay are just such lovely people :) It's our second shoot and I have yet again been spoiled rotten.

Not every idea has worked out but we wouldn't know if we didn't give it our all! I am sure the sets that did work will be amazing looking.

We have already planned our next shoot which I am most excited about - John has been showing me bits and bobs that he has prepared for it! Buzzing!

well what do I say about Mr VonBatCat? Bat crap crazy as always? Check. Full of weird and wacky ideas? Check. One of the most enjoyable shoots Ive had? Check.

John is wonderful to work with, I had my second shoot with him and it was just as amazing as the first. He is professional and respectful, as well being hugely fun to work with. The shoot was full of laughs from start to finish. I would recommend him to anyone. I love the images that have been created and cant wait to see more. Good communication from the start, including a how to get to the studio.

1st coffee and a chat with a run over what the plan is, written on a board.

A whole room full of props and costumes.

We had a four shoot (couple of coffee breaks) 😀

Studio is a whole big room with a mirror so you can see how the pose looks.

John is a excellent tog and easy too get along with makws you feel very comfortable, I received some pictures already and can't wait too see more.

his pre communication was excellent and when i arrived (even i got a bit lost) i was well looked after.

Our shoot was very creative and full of cool ideas,wchich i enjoy very much!Shoot just flew by and we had such a great time making some great images.

Where do I even start?

John messaged me with a full plan for the shoot and the logistics for my travel - I was truly impressed from the start, to say the least.

We arranged a shoot very quickly and hassle-free. Considering this was my first ever time communicating and planning the shoot with him, at no point I had uncertainty about the day or wondered why I have no reply.

On the day of the shoot, his lovely partner Kay picked me up from the train station and delivered me straight to the VonBatCat studio - such a luxury treatment!

When I arrived John was super friendly, professional and organised (what the hell he had the whole plan written down on the wipeboard!). After a cup of coffee and platter of cookies - yes, you read that right..., we were off to an amazing start.

John's approach to photography is a breath of fresh air, which I kept saying throughout the shoot. Working with him is super inspiring and the crazy ideas that he comes up with are indeed absolutely bonkers but wow, what results you are getting with it... unbelievable!

Wholeheartedly recommend working with John if you get a chance.

Thank you for picking me to model your beautifully insane ideas. Hope to shoot with you before you say goodbye to your lovely studio.

Wow!! how long?!?! .....

Yeah it's been a fair while since we shot!... In fact it wasn't even a 1-2-1, it was a group shoot & he even left before the topless round! Absolutely shocking behaviour! ;)

But it was so lovely to catch up with John! Sure we've spoken loads at the derby socials and I was hoping finally one day he'd actually ask me to bloody shoot again! ;) ....

But seriously! John is a lovely genuine person, truly talented and truly creative! He sketches out ideas, thinks about his models and really wants to bring ideas to life!...

He has a lovely space to work in! Always warm, lots of space for the model and even a few hundred biscuits! And he coped well with my diva demand of 'red grapes' ....

We took some really awesome shots and for me it was lovely to get into different characters and styles! Much more interesting for a model!...

Ah John is lovely!... I would highly recommend him!... As I already said (or versions of), he's polite, kind, respectful, funny and talented!....

Just work with him alright! It'll be well good! ;)

I had the absolute pleasure of working with John on Saturday,and what an awesome person he is!! pre comms were great, very clear and informative. When I arrived at his studio I was made to feel welcome immediately. His studio is well stocked with all sorts of weird and wonderful props, is clean with adequate dressing areas. The images on Johns port speak for themselves, he is clearly a very talented photographer with a creative and unique eye for creating amazing images. Not only is he a wonderful person and an absolute delight to work with, he produces amazing images, what more could you want? I would 100% recommend him to anyone and would love to work with him again! Thank you again John x

Truly epic and awesome shoot with John!! Pre shoot comms were really detailed and I was blown away by how many props and outfits he has. His communication is amazing and it was great to be working with someone who was excited by the creative process. It really helps and I think it really shows on the pictures that we worked well together! I adored working with him, a true gent, polite, kind and funny. We had a good laugh during the shoot which always is a plus for me. The images blew me away as well. So creative and so much fun! Wow, such a fantastic shoot with VonBatCat. He as such a large variety of props and outfits and knows what styles are good. Polite, friendly and easy to talk to and very respectful of what your boundaries are. Brilliant, clean studio with all the necessaries to go with it. Very complimentary, great at direction, makes you feel comfortable and make sure it’s all about you and take the time to actually talk to you. It was just a shame we ran out of time but hopefully we can get to do another shoot soon.

Absolutely loved shooting with John today – so much fun!!

Good, clear communications before the shoot and such a lovely chap to work with. Friendly, chatty, funny and easy to talk to. He is extremely creative and I loved having the chance to get into character and do something different!! We talked far too much and had too much delicious tea but we also got a lot of varied, quality shots too. Respectful at all times, and models, the studio is perfect – private area to change and a nice bathroom too.

Overall, a fantastic, fun-filled shoot with lots of laughs. Nice to meet somebody as crazy as I am... Looking forward to shooting with John again and highly recommend him! Thank you John!

I worked with John “VonBatCat” at a group shoot I was booked for, I found John to be very easy to work with, and good at direction and pointers to achieve the perfect angles and desired affects to create the perfect shot.

He was eager to take on board my ideas as a model and also encouraged self direction. I really enjoyed working with John, and found him very easy to work with, which always goes a long way in helping the Model feel at ease enabling for a more relaxed atmosphere and a great working dynamic to create some great work.

Even though we had some seriously bad news of a loss of a friend the day before we carried on with the shoot anyway and payed homage to him and had major cool results x.

John is one of the most creative people I have worked with and his passion especially for bob Carlos style images is just awesome x today we did images that people are going to go 'oh my god that's not angel!!' Can't wait to see them x

I was so happy he asked me back to shoot today and I would always say yes to this man as I love being different and john is always a perfect host and so much fun to be with x. We do have a laugh oh and a counselling session thrown in x lol.

Again john is very much highly recommended by me and hopefully see you again soon x

I always thoroughly enjoy working with Jon and his crazy creative ideas and this time certainly met my expectations :p

He is so easy to get along with and we always have a laugh and perhaps chat far more than shoot ;) but that's surely a good thing, right?!

Pre communications are always spot on and I know exactly what I need etc and feel totally comfortable and confident on the day.

He is definitely one of the most creative people I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I absolutely love his prop-making skills (and all the spikes).

He is tonnnes of fun to work with and I could easily recommend him to other models. :)
