Would you recommend Vicky Burns?

Well, there’s a silly question; undeniably, wholeheartedly yes…and yes again. First shoot with Vicky today and in a studio I wasn’t familiar with, but Vicky was amazing from start to finish. Strong, gorgeous look and just so natural in the flow of her posing…just an absolute diamond. She was ultra patient with me whilst I fussed over my lighting and nailed every set so quickly. Four hours of epic shooting and yet we still had plenty of chat…it just doesn’t get any better and if she’ll put up with me again, we will be shooting again this year for sure! Recommended 100%.

Vicky kindly offered to be my model on my first visit to Aura studio, she was amazing so helpful, creative and prepared, I hardly ever rent a studio but as moving home I needed a special place and AURA was just that, I kept it simple and Vicky worked with me all the way. she is a professional, beautifully presented, well prepared and capable of posing and letting me get on with the camera stuff. I loved working with her and really hope she will work again with me, highly recommended of course!

Fab first shoot with Vicky at Parklands Studio today...

Great pre-shoot comms, plenty of outfits, natural beauty and just effortless posing (due to her extensive experience).

Very friendly, and chatty, we had a good time chewing the fat, creating some great images and just generally going with the flow.

She had been on my WLTWW list for a while and I am so glad she's made the decision to restart her modelling - will most definitely look to book her again soon.

I have followed Vicky online for what seems an age, and I was so pleased when she returned to my area and hosted a studio day at Aura Studio - I didn't hesitate to book some time with her.

We agreed on starting with some Fashion shots, and then worked through to Boudoir, Art Nude and Erotic posing.

Vicky is a wonderful friendly person, and her years of modelling experience showed in her creative flow posing, easily taking direction when asked. We were spoilt for choice for outfits from her extensive wardrobe, and her hair and make up were just perfect. She is very body confident, which showed through when we moved onto Art Nude and Erotic posing, capturing some beautiful dark and moody images.

My long wait to eventually meet and work with Vicky was made so worthwhile, and I'm thrilled to have done so. I have no hesitation in recommending her 100% to all levels of photographers. Thank you so much Vicky x

Saracen House Studio

So chuffed that Vicky is back on the block and we were able to have her with us for two full days of workshops with Andrew Appleton at Saracen House Studio.

On day one, Vicky was modelling for a foundation level basic studio lighting workshop, the second day for our Art Nude workshop... the styles and audience couldn't be more different for the two days, yet Vicky was able to seamlessly transition to work well with both groups and engaging with everyone on the course.

A true professional in every sense of the word, no question in recommending to all. Your portfolio will benefit as a result of shooting Vicky.

Had a good shoot with Vicky who is clearly well experienced and comfortable modelling and has a no airs and graces approach making me feel at ease - my first shoot in quite while so we just did a small range of shots - laughed at my lame jokes and the time flew by so will most likely organise a more lengthy repeat shoot at one of her shoot venues. Very nice and professional lady. Thank you and look forward to the next one.

I had a great shoot with Vicky yesterday at her stables paddocks, this was a location with so many options to shoot and plenty more that I missed. Communications with Vicky are always excellent and it was great to catch up, it had been way too long, Vicky is great conversationalist and friendly with great ideas, poses naturally and takes direction well too. Vicky has two adorable horses in the paddocks too, one in particular just loves getting in the photo:)

I thoroughly recommend Vicky to all photographers and we are already planning more shoots.

In Search of That Perfect Shot..............

Had a fabulous couple of hours shooting Vicky at her model day at The Studio, Cannock. She was very well prepared with a good selection of clothing to choose from and she had some awesome poses. We got some great results and I look forward to working with her again. Thank you Vicky. :)X

I had a shoot with Vicky as part of a group shoot at The Loft, Colchester. Vicky is absolutely delightful, great fun with a wonderful sense of humour but totally professionally whilst posing, which she flows from one pose to the other without the need for direction. Vicky is happy to take direction and has the most wonderful variety of facial expressions to add to her poses. I would highly recommend her to photographers of all levels. Thank you Vicky for making the shoot such a super evening.

Just had my last shoot of 2016, but the 1st time of working with Vicky!

What can I say that probably hasn't already been said about Vicky...... great communication before the shoot, date and shoot style all sorted before she even arrived.

When she got here, (15mins early) we had a cuppa and a quick natter, sorted what we were doing and where, then we got straight to it.

We shot for 4 hours, with around 5-6 different styles/set ups, Vicky needed no direction from me in terms of posing, knowing what she is good at and what looks good, but also flexible enough to tweek poses as and when I requested it.

Nice and relaxed shoot with plenty of laughs.

I look forward to working with Vicky again in the new year as I know it will be a pleasure.

I had the immense pleasure of working with Vicky today, for the whole day, at Vic Kumar's studio. Vicky's pre-shoot communication was excellent - we discussed a number of 'themes' via PurplePort and she was keen to explore new ideas, alongside her normal repertoire.

On the day Vicky was organised with her outfits to suit the ideas we had discussed and as previous referee's have said, Vicky does all that she can to get the 'shot'. She maintained her energy and enthusiasm throughout the day, through numerous set changes and styles.

The speed with which she poses, the strength of her ever changing facial expressions and her ability to hold a pose have to be experienced to be believed. The high hit rate of stunning shots is quite simply amazing.

I would highly recommend Vicky to any photographer looking to improve their own skills and portfolio and I will definitely be booking her again - although I need a little quiet time to recover from her self proclaimed Queen of Eroticism set, which is not for the faint hearted.

Thanks Vicky, it was a hell of a day.

I had the massive pleasure of working with Vicky along side Kevin from York Photo Studio at Aardwolf Studio in Sheffield. I had worked with Vicky before, but, this was the first time on a full day basis and working for this length of time gave us chance to chat and develop shots much better. Vicky has striking beauty and is a top flight professional. She is genuinely interested in getting the best images possible from each set and her wealth of experience shines through. During the day we covered 2 beauty / headshot set ups with avant garde make up provided by the talented Nicola Whitfield, through some edgy fashion, some fashion posing with Dexter the Dalmatian :-) and then on to some mild fetish / fashion nude shots. An absolutely brilliant day, tons of high quality images to edit now and really should have organised a shoot like this much earlier. Lots of fun, very productive, just such a real blast. Had my first shoot with Vicky this evening at my studio in Leeds.

Pre-shoot comms were clear and responsive. Vicky arrived armed with a ton of outfits and pretty much ready to shoot. We had a run through the first few looks and off we went.

The next 4 hours flew by in a whirlwind of moody, emotion and attitude delivered with ease. Vicky speaks as she finds, which is as refreshing a change as her style and posing ability. I've been looking for this level of attitude in a model for some time.

We went mid key to start with but quickly moved onto moodier lighting set ups which seemed to suit her buzzcut and attitude led posing nicely.

Be very happy to shoot Vicky again tomorrow, I feel we barely scratched the surface of the creative possibilities.

Wow , what a model,. Worked with Vicky the other day the hit rate on amazing poses is unbelievable. Such a awesome person plenty laughs and giggle and again just wow.
