A combination of photographic and 3D rendered models, these early test images are part of an ongoing series exploring the secret lives of mannequins.

What mischief do they get up to after the humans have gone home? Do they play catch with each others’ body parts? Are they stealing from adjacent jewellery shops? There is lots to explore with their emotions too: are they envious of humans, or do they secretly mock them?

This escape scene is part of a series imagining the story of one mannequin who finally escapes the shop window and makes it out into the world.
