Desperate Marianna.

This is dedicated to my sister in law who survived the war in Mariupol. She and her parents, like many, sheltered in a basement fearing for their lives only venturing out to look for a mobile phone connection food and water. The street damaged and their house at the top of the hill partial wrecked her parents refused to leave and insisted Marianna leave, which she did on foot. She made it to Poland and then to Ireland where she is safe. The saddest part of the story her son Denis died. Not by the hands of the Russians but by his own hand. He refused to fight or be put in a meat grinder which is all that war in that country is. Modeled by Anistasiia (not on PP) who herself Ukrainian also escaped the war in Ukraine.
