Had a great shoot today, the location is so light and warm, you are all made to feels so welcome. The models thought it was a wonderful place to shoot.

I've had the pleasure of shooting at this fabulous location a few times now, with various photographers.

Victoria is a wonderful host and the house is tidy, warm, has great light and has fab rooms as well as external areas, for creative and imaginative ideas.

Would recommend The Retreat for anyone looking for a location shoot and look forward to visiting again soon :)

Had a great shoot using both a Pollytunnel that kept the model and I dry, then indoors using some mirrors and a bedroom. Was made to feel very welcome. A great location.

I had my first shoot at the retreat the other day with Artemis Fauna. The place lived up to all expectations and Victoria is a wonderful host. The house is well suited to all types of shooting and has some great external areas. I will be returning very soon. I 100% recommend this place to all.

I had a short shoot with NigelG at this studio last week on my tour.

The location was lovely- we only really used two rooms in the short time we had but it was all super clean, warm, tidy- with great light and a lovely host! Couldn't ask for more and hope to visit again one day :) Thank you :)

Its been a while since I shot at the retreat .. Always awarm welcome from Victoria and we really felt relaxed .. Some beautiful winter daylight and the house is well suited to creative shooting ...Hot drinks on arrival and we soon were getting creative in no time... Many thanks Victoria for your hospitality, you will be seeing us again soon.. Highly recommended by me to all PP Members. for location and studio work. ray h .

I had a lovely shoot with Alethia at The Retreat Lifestyle location today. Victoria was lovely, very helpful and accommodating. She has a lovely studio and will definitely be arranging some more shoots in the near future. Lots of good areas for shooting you will never run out of ideas for such a super location. Just leaving Victoria's lovely studio now. Her home is beautiful with so many places to shoot. She was very polite and super accommodating, making sure we were happy and if we needed any help, and making teas for our breaks.

Would happily shoot there again and 100% recommend to other models and photographers.

A real pleasure to visit The Retreat for the first time! A simply beautiful location with beautiful rooms and lots of space. Model changing area is just perfect - private space to get changed and a bathroom too. Ideal!

The owners were really friendly, we were offered drinks and then left to our own devices. Lots of potential at this place - I think you could go back again and again and keep seeing new shots.

Hope to visit again soon!

Had my first shoot today at this gorgeous location and hopefully it won't be my last!

Victoria was very warm and welcoming and offered us refreshments on arrival, she then left us to shoot around her home as we wished,

The location was very spacious and so tastefully furnished.....providing a lot of atmosphere for the images.

Would definitely recommend The Retreat as a great location to shoot at....if I return I will be booking myself in for a massage also :-)

I have been looking for a spacious, well lit and interesting place to shoot for some time and I came across the Retreat and I'm glad I did.

I spent the whole day shooting there with Claire Topaz and we both had a great time working through some of the many diverse rooms that offered a host of cool opportunities and interesting backdrops.

Our host Victoria was very kind and welcoming to both myself and Claire. She showed us around the house, offered us refreshments and left us to shoot throughout the house but was available to help if needed. She even found out some tools to help make adjustments to one of the outfits :-)

Both the master bedroom and living room are fantastic. They have windows on both sides that give great even lighting even in February and are very spacious. The kitchen was a good place to shoot too, bright and cleanly designed. The other areas are smaller but still very usable for more intimate shots and can be used without additional lights in all but the darkest days.

The location itself was ideal. Quiet and peaceful with plenty of outside space to use... when the weather is warmer :-D

Shooting at this location has produced some awesome images (that I will share Victoria) and I would happily recommend the location to others without hesitation.

This visit to The Retreat, was a follow up to an earlier visit in December 2016?

It has been in the words of Wendy Jayne then, a 'find' still was, is now?

Weather on this occasion, was much improved, compared to that in December 2016.

The 'welcome' on this occasion, from the 'host' was just as warm, as before.

We soon got into our 'flow' mode, where to shoot, what to do and try this,that?

Indoors, upstairs, downstairs, outside on the patio, cabin, etc,colour or b & w?

Had a shoot here a few weeks ago for the first time and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Lots of variety in spaces to pose etc, friendly welcome and a great supply of tea!

The Retreat Lifestyle Location, photo venue in rural surroundings, to which there was more than appeared from outside.

There is, was all in the house, what is in the venue's description, and more, there was an ambiance to the place.

Made it a good place for both photographer and model, to work in, in the words of the latter at the time: a 'find'?

It had been on the photo studio, photo venue short list a while, if worth the wait, till it came to the top of the short list?

Definitely a place worth a return visit, in the 'new' year, different time, season, lot of possiblites: in, out, and in between.
