Spent a fabulous afternoon at 'The Retreat' open day yesterday. Victoria and Jay are great hosts and the house and grounds make for a wonderful location to shoot.

Can't wait to get back there for a shoot.

I had an great shoot today at The Retreat, what an amazing venue!

Victoria and Jay couldn't have been more welcoming, their house and the decaying nursery attached makes for a simply stunning shoot location!

A combination of gorgeously decorated, well-lit, period rooms, manicured lawns, and a dishevelled and decaying set of greenhouses from a former nursery business, amongst which you'll find such gems as a Green Goddess fire engine, fork lift trucks and at least 3 hot tubs etc.

I got some great images with the model I'd brought along for the shoot, both inside and outside the house, and will be sure to go back for another visit in the not too distant future!

You need to check out this shooting venue pronto!!!

What a wonderful location and an incredibly warm welcome too! A beautiful property with great natural light inside, and the garden is fabulous. Oh and the cakes....OH the cakes!

I'd just like to thank Victoria and Jay for their kind hospitality last Sunday at their open day. Their beautiful home is just full of potential as a shoot location, together with the manicured garden. There is an interesting addition with the adjacent garden nursery, which in a state of delapidation, offers a very interesting location for a shoot with old tractors, fire engines, and various greenhouses. Very close to the Belfry, ideal for arranging shoots with Birmingham models. Thanks guys.

Had a fabulous studio day and most importantly to me with all studios is the owner! Victoria is the sweetest kindest most helpful lady!

Would definitely recommend The Retreat for any tutoring and general photography!
