I have had the pleasure of shooting with Neil 3 times in 2023. Each shoot presented its own set of challenges and took place under very different circumstances; he rose to the occasion each time.

We experimented with shooting on film in our first shoot. This is an aspect of his craft that Neil has been exploring this year. He has also, conversely,been teaching himself how to better incorporate AI into his digital work, and this has featured in our last shoot of the year. His technical curiousity and drive to explore new skills is something I really admire about him. In both instances we have mutually been very pleased with the results of his efforts.

During a challenging group shoot Neil kept an especially level head and professional demeanour. He even helped another photographer he did not know to adjust their lighting for a better shot just for the sake of being kind, without ever being patronising, and brought food for myself and the other models of his own violition.

We communicate very easily on both a personal and creative front. There is a lot of trust and artistic understanding between us and this makes any shoot together an effortless and fun experience, even in averse weather conditions!

I know that Neil will not only always produce a high standard of images, but also make every person he interacts with feel comfortable and respected. For this reason, I was very enthusiastically able to recommend him as a photographer for an event that took place this year. Every single person whose portrait he took absolutely sang his praises afterwards, and felt their confidence greatly boosted by the experience.

The shoot was organised by Sharon Morris of Mirror Images with several photographers taking pictures at Dingles Fairground Museum. I worked with Neil on a set style, i gave him ideas on how i wanted the images to be and he talked me through how we would achieve those results. He made me feel confident. End photos were super. Id like to work with Neil again.

I had the absolute pleasure to shoot with Neil on a Charity event organised by Lottiirose at Basford Hurst Cottage.

Even though we only had a short time to shoot, Neil made me feel completely at ease and we captured some incredible 'lady of the manor' and portrait style images.

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Neil came to Basford Hurst Cottage to attend a Charity event hosted and organised by Lottiirose.

Neil arrived on time with everything he needed for the shoot. He worked incredibly hard with all the models, making sure to capture many incredible images throughout the day.

Neil was incredibly respectful of the models and his fellow photographers and I heard nothing but glowing reports all day!! He was also very respectful of our location.

I would have no hesitation to recommend Neil and I hope to see him again soon!! Thank you Neil!!

This was my second time working with Neil, after meeting him at Lotti Rose first charity event for Crohns at the X Factory and now again at Basford Hurst on another charity group shoot day!

Neil is one of the few photographers I've had the opportunity to work with who really channels raw emotion through his craft. He's so passionate about his work and confident that it instantly makes me feel at ease- it's almost therapeutic to model!

The final shots looked absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to work with him again in the future!

Shot with Neil yesterday at Burford Manor's collaboration group shoot day.

Neil was a total delight to work with and was the highlight of my day.

We had set a clear vision of the type of imagery we wanted to produce prior to the day, knowing that we only had a 50 minute shoot slot.

Neil is totally adept with skill and knowledge. It was lovely to see a photographer using vintage filters in camera rather than using photoshop to create the effect.

We produced some stunning images and have spoken about further projects

Images were delivered promptly and required little editing as most of the work was done in camera (yes he is that good!)

No hesitation in recommending this gentleman.

Hope to work with Neil again at some point.

We arranged a promotional group shoot in Banbury and wow what a crazy range of photos we got every lighting set up worked amazingly to show of each theme as intended

He knows his stuff and he’s very passionate about photography he’s very friendly and easy to get on with and communicate with

He produces some incredible work and certainly isn’t a one trick pony helix versatility in terms of shootings styles is pretty awesome

Always a pleasure to work with Neil in any capacity. He gives direction confidently and clearly, explaining the considerations to be made for lighting, and is a wonderful ideas guy too. He handled what was looking like a potentially chaotic group shoot day with calm and focus, being considerate of the needs and comfort of each model (working different levels) and making the most of the space. He managed to translate the exact composition I had in my head for a concept onto the camera and I'm thrilled with it. I'd work with him any time, any where, on any idea.
