References for Studio88

3 of us have just completed a 4 hour shoot at Studio88 with Life of Art (Tish) and we were all really impressed with the level of equipment and space, but more importantly, the help we received from Rob. He was there to help with a variety of lighting set-ups but also left us alone to get on with the shoot. He was there when needed but in the background when not.

Can't recommend it enough. I will definitely be booking again.

Another wonderful shoot at 88. Rob is on hand to give help if needed, but is never in the way, the perfect studio owner.

Coffee upon arrival and then after a brief lighting set up, we were left to get on.

Studio B is superb for the few of us who love to work in old school film. Fantastic natural light with supplementary constant LED.

Since Studio88 changed location in the summer of 2020, I’ve had the good fortune to shoot in each of the three spaces it offers and it’s truly brilliant.

Studio A has a large cove, also kitchen set and some well thought textured wall sections and a truly fabulous changing room for models.

Studio B is a large natural light space, and I’ve used this the most. I’ve shot natural light bridal work, flash and ambient mixed and all but eliminated the natural light with flash for a much darker look

Studio C is the smallest space but Is still perfect for portraits. I shot some lighting setups for an article for a lighting manufacturer in there. If you’re used to shooting in home garage setup this will be a welcome change offering both width and height advantages and the option of natural light.

All the spaces come with helpful guidance and support from Studio owner Rob who really knows his stuff when it comes to lighting and photography.

Studio88 is a gem of a place in Buckinghamshire, that I’ll be back to time and again.

I’ve done a number of shoots now at Studio88, most recently grabbing a quick shoot which Rob set up with PattyCakes.

With flexibility to book 3 separate areas depending on needs/budget, its a large space with natural light options upstairs, a great industrial vibe, plenty of varied sets and the variety/standard of equipment you’d expect from a “proper professional” studio. Rob is a fantastic host, not in the slightest intrusive but couldn’t be more helpful with technical tips when asked. He even set up lighting for me on Saturday! Thank you for that.

My go-to for sure, and happily I think closest too! I’ll be back, hopefully often. Miguel

Had the absolute pleasure shooting in the Natural light B studio, gorgeous window light, distressed wooden flooring with a decent amount props, poly boards and plenty of space, such great space to work in. Will definitely be back, highly recommended :-)

I was booked by Rob to shoot a product at Studio 88 and had such a great shoot! Rob created a fun, light hearted environment which put me at ease and made the job enjoyable. The shoot was well organised, everything was clear before and after shooting, we finished on time and I was paid the next day. I highly recommend working with Rob and to any photographers looking to shoot as it's a multi-purposeful space. I can't recommend Studio 88 enough and hope to work with Rob again in the future!

Another great afternoon shooting at Studio88! This time I was using the larger natural light studio, but have used the coved space before. Rob is a legend - always willing to put himeself out to help.

My first shoot at Studio88 this week, and what an absolute pleasure. I used studio b, which is absolutely flooded with natural light, with lots of white walls to bounce the light around.

Rob was super responsive to my questions ahead of time, and was on hand throughout the shoot if I needed anything. Absolutely great studio, and one I look forward to using again very soon.

Had my first shoot at studio 88 and was a great place to shoot. Rob was very helpful and left me to get on and shoot the family that booked me. I had a look round at the other studios on offer as we used the white cove for this shoot. I will defo come back and use one of the other studios for some natural light. Highly recommended.

Had my first shoot in the new studio 88 and it was an absolute dream. The set ups are immaculate, dressing room is brilliant, it even has a great sound system to play whatever music you’re feeling like on the day. It has plenty of space to bring any ideas to life. Rob is very accommodating and a great laugh too. Thanks again for having me.

So finally I got to shoot at Studio 88 and have to say what an absolute pleasure it was. Discussed my lighting set up with Rob prior to arriving as a bit different to normal he was very accommodating in making sure that would work for the idea I had in mind. The cove space in Studio A where i shot was immaculate with a fresh white coat of paint applied.

The rest of the facilities were clean and tidy and Rob makes a cracking cup of coffee, he also like Jaffa Cakes. Back there in a week for a second shoot and hopefully many more as I'm looking forward to trying out the natural light space upstairs also.

Studio 88 was used to host a remote shoot with Abi and all I can say is the set up is better than I could have expected and the support provided was absolutely outstanding.

I can't wait for the opportunity to visit this studio in person, but I can't thank them enough for an outstanding remote shoot.

Been wanting to shoot at Studio 88 for approx a year now, but due to the pandemic this has been pushed further and further back.

The chance arose to do a remote shoot, so I grabbed it with both hands, all be it somewhat nervous about the lack of control. However these nerves soon subsided, Rob the studio owner had it all sorted, we discussed lighting set ups in the week leading up to the shoot and this was all set up and ready to go. Highly recommend the studio and hopefully I will be able to get in there at some point in the near future, but the remote shoot was the perfect stop gap until this can happen. Thanks for hosting a great shoot.

Studio 88 is one of the best studios I have used. It is very spacious, lots of lighting to choose from and the new studio has kitchen area. Booking is easy and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this studio.

Honestly, I don't know how many times I have shot at studio 88. I am constantly recommending it to all the photographers that I work with. It is my home from home, and with the owner of the studio always being willing to help out on shoots, everyone feels comfortable and happy. It is a brilliant environment, with an excellent amount of space to work with, from the kitchen, to the lounge, to the cove, there isn't ever enough time to utilize all the space, which is why you just have to keep going back. It has almost become my second home!

Definitely highly recommend without a shadow of a doubt!
