Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Having admired Sophia's work from afar for a while I just knew I had to organise for her to come up to Basford Hurst Cottage! We discussed a two day weekend and everything was booked in and sold out within days!!! So, of course we added a third day which also sold out in no time too!! All of Sophia's pre comms leading up to the studio day were great and she made everything really easy to organise.

I arranged to collect Sophia from the train station the night before the first day and she arrived on time with everything she needed. We gave her a tour of the location and she settled in right away. Over the three days Sophia gave 110% to every photographer that attended. They all spoke incredibly highly of her and many asked when we will be getting her back to Basford next year....!! Needless to say, that's got to happen!!! Despite Sophia being fairly new to the world of modelling she has taken to it seamlessly and poses beautifully, providing many wonderful expressions and really doing everything she can to ensure every photographer came away with lots of lovely images!!

As if being an amazing model wasn't enough, Sophia is also a the most wonderful person!! It was a pleasure getting to know her over the 4 days she spent with us here at Basford. She was the perfect house guest and left everything clean and tidy on her departure. We had a lot of fun chatting with her and she's a good laugh ... We could definitely count on Sophia not to hold back or drink copious amounts of prosecco of an evening! ;) ;) Hahaha!

It goes without saying that we would HIGHLY reccomend Sophia Gray and we certainly cannot wait to have her back here at Basford again next year!!! Please make sure you book this sensational model!! You won't be disappointed!!! Thanks so much for everything Sophia!!

I was part of an event organised by Basford Hurst Studio in Leek along with Sophia. Sophia was professional, patient and ever so easy to work with.

My 2hour slot was filled with portraits and headshots and I used natural light complemented by some flash.

Once I was happy with my setup (thank you for your patience Sophia) the shoot went super-quick and Sophia was absolutely fantastic.

I would love to work with Sophia again in the future and hope she will be back on my area soon.

Had my first shoot with Sophia on the Bank holiday Monday at Basford Hurst Cottage. With the amount of energy and enthusiasm she had, you wouldn't have thought this was her 3rd studio day in a row!

She brought a plentiful supply of clothes for me to choose from and was more than happy to give suggestions for what she thought would match what I was aiming for.

She is absolutely fantastic! Full of energy, a great laugh, and perfect posing. I would definitely like to work with her again!

lucky enough to shoot with Sophia on Monday at Basford Cottage, just wow! So easy to communicate with, friendly and fun.

We had a great selection of outfits to choose from and worked through many sets including woodland, outbuildings, various stairs and lots of variations by windows around the place.

Sophia was fine and understanding with me needing a little 'fiddle time' to get exposures just right, I have to blip a little flash on each shot and getting the fill right makes or loses the shot.

Sophia really is a top flight model with a great range of subtle expressions and poses, no problem faraway looks or straight to camera where Sophias confident look, its just quality all the way. Sophias just one of those models that can make and amazing portrait looking straight to camera with a very plain background, just sheer strength of personality shines through. Lots of lovely images to sort through after a great day

Thanks again for the wonderful shoot and Id thoroughly recommend Sophia for any assignment :-)

Sophia has been putting up some amazing work since she burst onto the Purpleport scene last year, yet I was resigned to never shooting with her due to her being so far away. Imagine my delight when Leanne announced that Sophia was coming to Basford Hurst. Sophia brought along all the outfits that I requested in my shoot plan and had a lovely interpretation of the sets that I'd planned. She also brought along her amazing creative input. We had some extremely constructive conversations as to where we could take each set next, to build on the solid platform of images that we already had. The result was even more thrilling work. I must also mention Sophie's wonderful personality. I'd never met her before, yet she quickly struck up a rapport, and was a lovely colleague to work with. The four hours that we spent shooting, just flew by. I felt relaxed and able to give my best to the photography, which is very important to me when I'm doing a hobby that I'm passionate about. Finally, Sophia has a lovely repertoire of poses which she flowed through gracefully, yet responded well to any direction given. Thank-you Sophia for a lovely afternoons shoot. I'm more than happy to recommend you to other photographers, models, and studio's. Please don't leave it too long before you come back again.

This was my first shoot with Sophia and I certainly hope it won't be the last. Sophia is, without doubt, bright, beautiful, enthusiastic, intuitive, pro-active, patient and simply an absolute delight to work with. All that was necessary was to give Sophia an idea of the theme and let her run with it. She is that good, and the excellent results speak for themselves.

Sophia had been top of my list of models to work with since I first saw her on PP around a year ago.

So when the opportunity to work with her at one of my favourite locations, Basford Hurst cottage arose I was on it like a flash. It seems ages since it was booked but Friday was the day when it happened.

Sophia was everything I expected and more! She is a delight to talk to and her passion to create great images is clear to see in everything she does.

She looked incredible and modelled so beautifully. It is no accident that she regularly features on PP FPI's.

We got so beautiful images that are undoubtably some of the best I have done.

I can't wait until the next time we get the opportunity to work together again.

I had my first shoot with Sophia at the wonderful Basfordhurst today. After following Sophia for a while now I was lucky enough to get a late cancellation spot on her sold out 3 day event.

Prior to the shoot comms were great and we had a little discussion about what I'd like to shoot. Sophia had obvious checked the moodboard and had the outfits we discussed for the shoot.

During the shoot Sophia was super professional, posed effortlessly and was just a joy to work with. Sophia also shared her own ideas for shots and it felt like a proper collaboration between two creatives. Looking at the images on the back of the camera we were both really happy with the shots and I can't wait to get them onto the computer to give them the final touches.

Overall I can do nothing but highly recommend Sophia and hopefully we'll get to shoot together again soon.

I had been watching Sophia's work for a while and booked her for a fashion style shoot in London. We managed to choose one of the hottest days of the year to do it unfortunately, but Sophia was excellent and very patient, even when we had to walk to one of the chosen shooting venues (thank you Google Maps for suggesting it was a short walk....😢). Sophia is great to work with, bubbly and chatty. She came with a great wardrobe, which unfortunately we weren't able to get through as I would have liked. The time shot by and I really wanted to capture more. So a return booking is a must! Thanks for a great shoot. I'm looking forward to editing the pics!

Great fun with Sophia and Kate Star at their Colour Explosion Event held at Kempston Studio.

Sophia is a wonderful and beautiful young model to work with, and gives 100% to ensure photographers get the shots that they want. I have been looking forward to shooting with Sophia for several months after meeting her at the Photo Show earlier this year. The shoot was at the very well equipped Kempston Studio where Sophia was working with Kate Star on a 'Colour Explosion' event.

Sophia has outstanding references here on Purpleport and they are very well deserved. She is an outstanding, beautiful and very expressive model who is great fun to work with contributing her own ideas and posing suggestions freely as well as taking direction.

I already have another shoot booked with Sophia and can't wait to work with her again - I just wish you lived further North Sophia!

Sophia is great she is natural, confident, poses effortlessly and is not afraid to offer her suggestions to enhance the images.

Another shoot with this great model, this time outdoors. We chose a couple of locations, a beach and woodland, and ended up with some shots in her garden. Sophia got through a number of contrasting outfits at the different locations.

Sophia does quite different poses, giving a unique look to the images.

She is easy to work with, and requires little direction from me.

So I was delighted to find that she was one of the models at Peter Coulson's outdoor natural light workshop today.

Sophia looked amazing as usual and worked brilliantly for 4 hours without a break.

It was a cold, grey day in London but Sophia coped admirably with the cold and looked amazing from start to finish.

Now I really can't wait for our own shoot to come around.

It is easy to see why Sophia has quickly come to be in big demand as she not only looks amazing but poses so effortlessly too and oozes emotion.
