Studio Luminescence

We were happy to welcome Derek back to another event with Studio Luminescence, this time on location on our 'Warrioress' event.

Derek is a super warm and friendly character and always integrates well with the other workshop attendees. He has a creative approach and likes to experiment with ideas with our sets and outfits. Its always a pleasure to see the results.

As per our previous reference, we are more than happy to recommend Derek to models, studios and event organisers alike for workshops / group events, he's a great addition!

Studio Luminescence

Derek attended our Iridescence Adored event last Sunday with guest model Katey. His pre-comms where brilliant, he made his intentions clear and payment of deposit was quick and received with thanks.

On the day he arrived at the instructed time and was approachable and friendly from the get go. (Thank you for making the journey over in the slightly iffy weather!)

Throughout the even Derek was friendly and chatty with all of the attendees, fitting right in and making everyone feel comfortable around him, working well with others.

He communicated well with Katey and worked with her to get some really beautiful images. He also took to the theme and ideas that we suggested really well again resulting in some beautifully high-end images for his portfolio!...

We would recommend Derek to other studios hosting events, he was respectful to all involved and his surroundings.

Thanks again Derek for attending and hopefully we will see you again in the future!

Akeso-Eclipse

Had an absolutely amazing first shoot with this diamond of a photographer yesterday. We had a lot of fun doing a Christmas shoot and the image's looked amazing on camera. Derek has great communication skills and ideas, he also allows the model to do their own thing, it was very much a two way street to get the best image's possible.

I would happily work with Derek in the future.

Had a another fantastic shoot with Derek,we did a indoor shoot and in my garden.It was fun and a laugh,we had a chat and a catch up.We have got another shoot booked in February next year.He is good at what he does.He is highly recommended to all models.

I came to JDL Studios in Chesterfield today with my old friend, @paigetyler, whom has introduced me to this in the studios as my first proper shoot and my first duo shoot with her. It was brilliant.

Derek, made it all the more brilliant. He was punctual, more than punctual. Friendly, down to earth, incredibly professional and skilled in his profession.

I truly enjoyed every minute of this shoot, more to the point due to helping me with it being my first time, and because of this, I didn't want to leave!

I couldn't recommend Derek more if I possibly could because he is an asset to the industry as a TOG.

My first shoot with Derek was productive and relaxed throughout.

Derek turned up at the studio bang on time, well prepared and full of enthusiasm.

We had already discussed ideas beforehand so I was well informed as to what to expect.

Derek is a very friendly, chatty person, I felt completely at ease in his company and he was the consummate professional in his approach.

Derek was respectful and thoughtful of both my levels and my opinions on the shots we took which I greatly appreciate.

We took some lovely shots with Derek working hard to nail the lighting.

All in all, a great shoot and I would happily recommend Derek and I look forward to shooting again, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Shot with Derek today at ML photo studio in Nottingham and it was such a pleasure. Derek is such a lovely man and is very friendly.

Pre communications were great, and we had a phone call to discuss and plan everything for the shoot.

Derek is very easy to get on with, and has lots of fantastic ideas, he is really professional, and was very reassuring.

Derek is an incredible photographer and extremely professional who keeps his creativity fresh, cutting no corners when it comes to his shoots. He came with his portable lighting equipment and the images looked fantastic from the back of the camera :-)

Super professional, Artistic with a laid back yet hard working attitude making working with him an absolute dream.

Had a fantastic shoot with Derek. Excellent comms before the shoot so we both knew what we wanted from the session and I could plan appropriate outfits/ accessories.

We shot at the Sunnybank Mills in Farsley and had a really fun and creative shoot. Derek was a pleasure to work with, he really knows his stuff! I was able to pose freely with Derek offering some direction too. We worked well together able to collaborate ideas and come up with some amazing shots. SOO happy with how they turned out.

100% recommend Derek!! Hope we get to shoot again :)

Derek is a very friendly photographer. I wanted some images to update my own modelling portfolio and I liked his style of work. We did the shoot in Lincoln around the Cathedral area and from the quick look and the images Derek has sent they look great.

So me and Derek have been planning a shoot for quite sometime now & I can say it was probably one of the best shoots I've had in my 9 months being in this business ive had in a very long time. Derek is very bubbly and doesn't fail to make you laugh, he isn't a level pusher and prefers to focus a lot on the image. If Derek isn't a professional photographer I'd definitely put him down as one. Communication was great and I'm looking forward to doing a shoot again sometime in the future with him x
