Belle Noire aka Black Beauty

Well thank you for booking me while I was in your area, I really did enjoy myself!

I was a little early arriving but you already had the heaters on and the kettle boiled....I knew it was going to be a good one.

We had a little chat before shooting and you are genuine, friendly, funny and have so many stories I could of just listened all day. During the shoot you were completely professional throughout.

You know your lighting and I am really excited to see all I am tagged in. As soon as I am back in the area I will be sure to let you know. Not a negative thing to say from me :D Recommended To All xX

I had a lovely lovely shoot with Greg yesterday - fun and relaxed but productive. We shot a mixture of quirky portraits, fashion and art nude at his studio in Keynsham. He is professional and considerate, yet laid back and very easy to talk to. I can't wait to see the images and I look forward to shooting again together soon!

I had a great second shoot with Greg yesterday at Inspire Studio.

He is a joy to work with, full of fun ideas and happy to go along with some of my crazy ones too. He makes you feel totally at ease and is happy to show you the back of the camera so you can get a feel for what you are creating and any changes needed to get that perfect shot.

We've already chatted about our next shoot and I'm excited at the idea of working with him again!

Another lovely shoot with Greg - this time working at Inspire Studio in Salisbury. We worked through a variety of images, from simple portraits to a circus theme, and as always Greg was chatty and relaxed throughout. I think we got some lovely shots and I look forward to working with him again. Recommended!

Greg was the the other photographer that worked with 'an eye for beauty' on a circus themed shoot they planned at the studio with two models and he was great on the day, very relaxed and friendly with some lovely ideas for his shoots. Look forward to seeing him back again at some point.

Had such a fantastic shoot with Greg!.

I was invited along to a shoot my friend Beverley had organised. She's worked with Greg several times and gave me some ideas as to what i should bring with me.

Prior to this shoot i had almost no modeling experience and was feeling a bit nervous but Greg was incredibly patient and so easy to talk to, i quickly relaxed and had more fun than i ever expected!

The studio was clean, comfortable and well equipped, his instructions and guidance were really a testament to how experienced he is, his skill with lighting brought out the colors and textures of my outfits really nicely.

Cant thank him enough for such a positive experience, and can't wait to shoot with him again!

Had yet another fab shoot with Greg. This was (I think) our eleventh shoot together and as ever he was a joy to work with. I took a friend with me who has not done a shoot like this before and he made her feel very welcome and comfortable and provided excellent direction. His post shoot work is also of a very high standard. We came out with some really fun and creative images and a good time was had by all.

Greg and I have worked together multiple times and each and every time is a delight, today was no exception! Greg is very friendly and easy to chat to, he's a very easy person to get along with as well! This time he invited me over to his home studio to shoot for half a day. His studio is very cosy and warm (which is a great plus side during the colder months!). We got through a large selection of outfits and ideas which all came out so lovely on the back of the camera!

Greg is a professional gentleman who always puts a smile on my face and his eye to detail is exquisite. Showing me back of the camera shots as we went along was really helpful in helping me to adjust any posing if I needed to :)

Overall I had yet another great shoot and I really enjoyed working with Greg so if you get the chance to work with him also, take it!

Thankyou so much!

Greg deserves nothing less than credit after credit for his through-and-through awesomeness as a photographer and human! :D I really wanted to get this reference to him sooner (he bloody deserves it!) but pandemic madness and admin overload emergencies - bah, don't ask! So I'm going to make up for it by fully going to town on this wonderful gents legacy; so much so that he will probably wish he didn't get such a brain-mashing essay, and I wouldn't blame him if he blocked me... (but pretty please don't do that Greg because I know where your studio is and I would verrrrrrry much like to work with you again! :P)

*So* Where on Earth to begin?? Well from the start - Greg's communications are up there with the best. Seriously. He is fast, concise, organised and super helpful in covering essential details (like important things to bring when packing for several dozen shoots, or directions to his Somerset studio) literally on it like a car bonnet! :D So whilst the rest of us are dropping our phones on our faces in when doing essential admin whilst on tour trying to respond to important messages during being "on the go" and hoping to make some reasonable/translatable sense... You've got champions like Greg just getting straight to everything that needs to be attended to and leaving no stone un-turned. He is quite genuinely the master of comms. :) Not only does this enable those of us with crazy travelling lifestyles *raises hand* to coordinate our movements and appointments as quickly, and efficiently as possible: but it will also instil a lot of faith for newer models/models who have not yet worked with Greg because of how professional he comes across in his messages before you have even got to the shoot. :)

Then onto the event itself... Greg and I met and worked initially at a hired photography studio/on a studio day; but our shoots since, and indeed this most recent one, have all been at his terrific personal studio in Somerset. :) If you come to Greg's studio for your shoot there will be brews (and plenty of them!), snacky snacks - damn the temptation! Greg also has an area to chill/set up camp with all your stuff as well as an abundance of props of his own!!! Space for the model to chance if needs be and then the epic creative part of the studio where all the shooty magic happens! He really has done a fantastic job with it and thought of so many aspects which are handy essentials to make a studio that bit better/more comfortable for those working within the space. Some of the stuff we have created in Greg's studio has simply been bursting with quality - I mean; he has all the snazzy lighting setups/modifiers/fixtures to totally nail the look you might be going for in the pursuit of a particular idea. He can assemble/rearrange things in a flash to add effects galore if he wants, or just create classic good quality lighting... It really is a have your cake and eat it situation the way that Greg just rocks things at his gaff! :D And don't even get me started on props/accessories he has to hand?! From those big bulky posing cubes that we all know and love to drawers full of cute little garments/other bits that one could wear - here's a photographer with a genius eye for spotting nice things that really have the potential to "pop" within an image. This time around we used a number of hats that Greg had put to one side at the ready, which injected a fab finish to some portrait sets we were working on. It's just that extra bit of inspo y'know? Most of us models have our own trunk of stuff that we bring - and indeed what you'll discuss with the person you're working with to coordinate looks accordingly with the brief... But when the photographer is clearly thinking ahead and picking bits up that might go with a certain vision or just for a "rainy day/moment of spontaneity" Then you're doubling the scope of creative teamwork possibilities to create cool pictures. :) Greg just thinks outside the box like that, and it's brilliant!

Now in reference to the content of our latest shoot - wow, wow, and more pure WOWNESS! What we saw in the back of the camera was utterly mind blowing before Greg had even got to work with his editing. In the time after the shoot - some of which I was still travelling - these images began appearing after post processing and really did hit like a wonderful reminiscent buzz of the next-level yield that we'd had during the shoot. :) All I can say is: Greg has a sublimely talented eye within his work. He puts a HUGE degree of creative care and attention into getting the finish to his shots looking as lush as can be. His patience and technical know-how is simply applaudable, his eye for composition spot-on, and his innovative way of thinking to introduce different outfits/props is wicked! The combined effect of all: and you just have someone who takes a bloomin' good photo - no matter what is in front of them! He had a series of themes to work through this time around - one of which was a kind of 80's/fun/cheesecake concept with roller skates, coloured caps - the works! And oh my, Greg completely smashed it... I mean yes I posed and was able to work through my repertoire and get in the groove as you do right?! But Greg sorted that light to perfection and was then able to see the small details/make adjustments and even offer direction for things like separation of the skates between the foot position. Little things that make a world of difference basically, and something that Greg has the ability to see which I have credited him for since our very first shoot together. :)

So finally... (Yeah I'm still rambling!) Did I have a laugh on my latest visit to work with Greg? Did we chatter no end on my latest visit to work with Greg? Was the atmosphere good, did I feel totally at ease, was the environment professional and just generally a good work space for any model - and one that I recommend? HELL YES!!! Greg is the nicest person imaginable; chatty, friendly, accommodating, hospitable, someone you can have a good crack with. Honestly, I could go on! He really is just a 5 star person in all respects and would make any model in any situation feel completely happy in working with him. I cannot say enough good things about this true gentleman, and are thrilled to be able to say that I can have a fun day working with people like Greg - as well as a good day "at work" where I feel safe and content.

I'll be back that's for sure - such a legend!!!!!!

Thank you so much Greg, you're a star!

I absolutely love working with Greg!! I always look forward to our shoots so was super excited when he booked me again on me recent tour :)

As always when we first arrived we had a good old natter and a catch up over a cup of tea.

Greg had some ideas already lined up that he wanted to work on, and he made me aware of them in advance so I would know what to pack.

We shot a huge variety of different looks and styles and each one of them was a huge success! It’s always a true collaboration when shooting with Greg, with him showing you the images as you go so you can bounce ideas or changes off each other to really perfect an image we are both happy with :)

Greg is honestly one of the kindest, most genuine and friendly people I have had the pleasure of working with throughout my career and I cannot recommend him more highly :)

Hope to see him again next time I visit the south!!

Hi Greg, not really a reference, just to say, thanks for making Saturday a positive experience, nice to be in the company of like minded people. Hopefully, we all took home some ideas and just a little more confidence in all we do. Anyone looking for a relaxed, chilled guy, to work with, Greg will do nicely. He knows his stuff👍👍😂😁😁😁!

I was so chuffed that Greg booked a place on a duo event I was hosting with Retro Rob at the amazing South House Mansion.

I've worked with Greg a few times before and he's one of my favourite photographers to work with. I always learn loads about photography working with Greg and also my own modelling.

Greg was a great team member and we had lots of fun and laughs. We also captured some cracking shots and Greg totally got the looks we were going for and worked really hard to get the lighting and angles right to complement our vintage duo storytelling.

Many thanks Greg and can't wait to work with you again!

Very highly recommended.

Well what a pleasure it was working with Greg on the Retro Rob & Melany tour at South House Retreat.

I have seen Greg's work through Melanys Portfolio so knew that this was one photographer who would deliver something special to my portfolio and from what I could see from the back of the camera he sure did just that!

Greg had a brilliant knowledge of lightning and natural light so was able to take on the challenges that mother nature threw at us easy peasey!

He is such a lovely guy to work with and I look forward to working with Greg again to continue the magic .

Thank you so much

I had a fantastic shoot with Greg and a group of others today at the beautiful Ston Easton Park Hotel with costumes from Bath Theatrical.

I've had my eye on Greg's work for a while, so was excited to finally shoot with him.

His pre shoot comms were great and I got a sense of exactly what he wanted me to bring along.

When I arrived I was warmly greeted by Greg.

Whilst shooting he showed us the back of camera so we could adjust our positions and see what he was getting, he gave great direction and was open to suggestions (some of which got rather silly, which he gladly indulged!)

Shooting with Greg was a lot of fun and he is so enthusiastic that it really rubs off.

I had a fantastic day, am excited to see the final images and can't wait for our next shoot which is already booked in!

We arranged a shoot together as a group with An eye for beauty, at Ston Easton hotel outside Bath.

He greeted me outside and kindly helped me with my bags into the location, he is friendly and he was keen to get the shoot on the way with his partner for the group, We didn't get a great deal of time to shoot together although we did some group shots outside the hotel.

Pre communications were thorough and thoughtfully planned. The theme of the shoot was Georgian late period and consisting of wearing period full costume wear. It was all good fun and a good experience as the place was very unique and beautiful.

I recommend Greg to others and models alike, and hope to work him again soon in the future

Thank you

I shot with Greg and Graham (An Eye For Beauty) on their 'Upstairs, Downstairs' project today at the beautiful Ston Easton Park Hotel and what a successful day it was!

Himself and Graham both put in an incredible amount of hard work and planning for this shoot, we were all kept up-to-date on the arrangements and their work definitely paid off.

Greg is very enthusiastic and a joy to shoot for.

Thank you very much for a successful day - I had such a great day and I'm sure the final outcome of the images will be fantastic!

This was my third shoot with Greg and this time we had a full day together! It flew by just like the other shoots and we covered a range of art nude looks or as we call it art nude+

Greg is a lighting genius and I love his attention to detail and artistry when it comes to both the lighting set up and the capture. He also has fantastically creative ideas and is keen to try new things!

I love his energy and enthusiasm and if I'm totally honest, a shoot with Greg is my ideal shoot experience! Despite the fact he makes me laugh when I am trying to look serene!

As always I can't wait to see the results of our collaborative day together and also for our next shoot in just over a week's time!

Very highly recommended! :)
