References for Simon Bond Photography

I've lost count of how many shoots I've had with Simon now..

I know I was one of the first models he came to shoot with 1-1 when he first went for it and the man I shoot with now is a completely different photographer! Gone are the days of not knowing what to do, now he's on it and soaks things in like a sponge.

Simon has ideas for days and he's an absolute joy to work with! Stupid to say but I'm so proud to be part of his journey and see him develop so fast and so well!

I had so much fun shooting with Simon on location at a beautiful park in Wolverhampton for a new fashion brand on Tuesday. Prior to the shoot, communication was excellent with a clear plan of the day ahead. Simon is very friendly and attentive, meeting me at the station on time and driving me to and from the location which was a great help. I felt comfortable and at ease throughout - Simon maintains a high level of professionalism and is very easy to get along with. He is a brilliant photographer and as a result we created some amazing shots on the day alongside our creative team. I would highly recommend working with him to any model.

Simon is an absolute pleasure to work with, so relaxed and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Simons manner and professionalism is amazing! Lots of amazing pre comm communication and planning, which makes all the difference. And it made the 4 hours or so such a breeze! Simon’s direction was great, and clear! And it helped to get the shots we needed! I love working with simon, and would highly recommend any models to simon, new and experienced. I am looking forward to the shots to come through as it’s something a little different! Exciting stuff. And I look forward to working with simon again in the next couple of months.

Simon has been to Basford Hurst Cottage few times now and I was thrilled to finally have the pleasure of shooting with Simon here myself! It has been a lot of fun getting to know Simon during his past few visits to the cottage so for me that made shooting with him even more enjoyable as we were both completely relaxed around each other from the word go!!

Simon provided me with all the pre shoot information, including a range of ideas of themes and styles he had in mind for the shoot. On the day of the shoot he arrived on time with everything he needed. I was blown away by the preparation Simon has done for the shoot, including presenting me with printed mood boards and a detailed shoot plan. Simon had recently attended a workshop with Thomas Holm and it was clear to me that he was really putting into practice what he'd been taught.

Shooting with Simon was a breeze!! We bounced ideas around for each set and Simon paid particular attention to detail to really nail that shot!! - He was comfortable directing but also allowed me to pose freely. Simon also shoots tethered to a laptop which I find extremely helpful as a model as I can make adjustments as needed.

What else can I say - Of course I highly reccomend Simon - He is incredibly passionate about his photography, keen to learn and is a thoroughly great person to be around!! - Thanks so much for the shoot Simon and I look forward to seeing you again soon!!

Yesterday I had my second shoot with Simon. He arrived on time well prepared with moodboard, lighting equipment and a big smile!

Precomms were great and the shoot itself went even better. We discussed the ideas over a cup of coffee and got cracking with shooting. Simon was very friendly and respectful, just like I remembered him from our last shoot in Framework studio in October. He understands the importance of small details and directed me well to get the perfect shot. Working with him was pure fun and I’m looking forward to shooting again, this time outdoors which is really exciting! Shooting in nature is my favourite thing ever but I don’t get to do it often enough because of English weather :(

Highly recommended!

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Simon attended a two day weekend workshop this weekend with the incredible Thomas Holm. We have now met Simon a few times and every time it's a pleasure to welcome him back to Basford.

Simons passion for photography shines through at all times. He was attentive during the workshop and really made the most out of his time here. He listened to Thomas and asked loads of questions throughout the weekend. He also worked incredibly well with both models, putting into practice everything he was being taught.

The images of the back of the camera looked great and it was so lovely to watch the progression from the start of the workshop to the end.

Simon also got along really well with everyone else who had attended the workshop. He was incredibly social and great fun to chat to. We would of course highly reccomend Simon and really look forward to seeing him again soon!! Thank you for being part of a wonderful weekend!!

The Apex Studio (Telford)

Simon has worked at Apex Studio many time now & he always arrives on time & ready to go.

He recently hired the studio for a 1 to 1 fashion shoot with a model & is always keen to learn new lighting techniques.

Simon has also attended many of our themed workshops at Apex Studio. He gets on well with the rest of the groups & always offers to make me a coffee :)

He is respectful when working with models & always looking for that great shot.

We look forward to hosting him again soon.

A lovely guy with some serious skills behind the camera!! We had a great evening, and shot some really interesting ideas!! Can't wait to bump into this man again in the near future! I had the most enjoyable first shoot with Simon! He attended my Studio day at image red and we shot a couple of hours. Instantly I felt we 'vibed' off each other, he has quite a cool collected persona, has a good wide sense in style and certainly knows how to work his camera and give great direction.

Simon (little to my knowledge) has a great deal of experience from both sides of the camera, this I found really interesting and also helpful- when giving direction or watching me pose I felt he was really able to sense when and where the best captures would be and almost visit the poses with me. Our ideas and angles seemed to flow so well together and it felt like I literally blinked and the shoot was done. Very respectful, sound, down to earth gent and photographer. Certainly recommended and look forward to shooting again in the future!!

I would most definitely highly recommend Simon to any model of any level, this was my first shoot with simon, I knew simon had previous experience on many levels, and I knew it was going to work from the start. The pre comms were perfect, we both knew what we wanted to achieve from the shoot, and this was perfect. The studio was ideal and a great little location. Simon is professional respectful and I felt like we connected straight away, it was comfortable and I felt at ease, which was fantastic, we managed to do everything we had agreed. And also managed to smash some ideas of Simon’s too. I am very excited to see the final edits results. And I hope it work with simon again. Ive shot with simon twice and there the only two shoots ive ever done as im a new to this industry, he made me feel so welcomed , comfortable and confident. If i could rate him over 5 stars i would hes so professional and doesnt make anything awkward for any of the girls hes also very helpful on guiding how to pose if you are stuck on what to do i would definitely reccomend working with him. Simons pictures also come out amazing and hes very talented at edeting to give you that perfect shot !
