References for Silk

It's always a joy when photographer and model really 'gel'; the resultant images are so much more meaningful when all involved strive toward a common goal. My images usually involve some sort of lose narrative and are dynamic so it's important that everyone knows what they're doing and have a 'framework' in which to work.

Acting out in front of the camera, particularly when it involves video, at worst can look fake, stilted, wooden. You know where I'm going here - with Silk acting a scene it looks totally convincing. Some of the footage we acheived was 'wow!'. Sooo real, so damn convincing!

We all know that Silk is a wonderful model don't we, and always gives 100%. In what was our third shoot I felt it was even better than those we'd done previously. One way shoots where photographer directs everything and has set ideas do work, of course, but it's usually far better when the model contributes their own ideas. I like working like this and it reinforces in my mind that the model actually wants to 'invest' herself in the whole concept. Silk invested herself 100%. Silk offered ideas throughout; some of her ideas I wish were my own I don't mind admitting it!

So in summery then Silk brings something else other than her physical self to the shoot, she brings enthusiasm, she brings creativity, she brings friendly and engaging collaboration, she brings humour and she brings that all-important two-way exchange of copious ideas and thoughts. She wants the images to work!

Yes, a Silk on a shoot is a shoot which is guaranteed to produce meaningful images. And what's more she's such a lovely, lovely person which makes the whole thing a totally cool thing! I totally love working with her:)

Now, do I really need to state that I'd recommend Silk? Really? Well, of course I do!! 100%

ManCave

An absolute pleasure welcoming Silk back into the cave yesterday, this time with fellow Welsh model Cariad. The session was extremely well organized with the girls bringing with them a mass of amazing props trinkets and fabrics even animal skulls. In fact it was really refreshing for the models to be full of ideas and passion. It's usually the models that tire, but this time the girls drained me and I had to call time as I think they'd go on and on there both so creative. The images look amazing, the girls pose effortlessly with passion and it shows in the results. Happy and Highly Recommended Cheers S & C.

Silk is just wonderful, such an amazing bundle of joy to be around. After a bumpy start(literally) I apologise for the elderly man for reversing into your car :-(.

A friend had asked me if I could arrange a model to for him to shoot in his converted chapel, a location I'd wanted to do a photoshoot in from the first time he showed me around it, and Silk was just perfect for this shoot. Knowing how it's not easy for a model to work with two photographers at once, Silk rocked it. Being an amazing creative person she had plenty of wonderful outfits, and is just a natural at posing at ease. Our shoot over ran by a couple of hours, as time just flew by, but that didn't seem to be a problem, as we were all having so much fun.

I honestly can't wait to work with silk in the future, especially as the weather warms up, and we can do more location work together.

Thanks for a wonderful day Silk. I hope you enjoyed it as much as Roger and myself did. I think he's hooked!

This was my first ever shoot with a model. I did not have a clue so a fellow photographer who is very experienced with model shoots, agreed to help out as required and looked for a suitable model.

Silk agreed to the shoot, which was to be held in my home, a large converted chapel. Silk arrived in good time, along with the other photographer, and immediately seemed relaxed and very friendly, and was certainly more at ease than I was.

What a great day. I walked them around the various settings I wanted to shoot in, and what props were around. Silk had some amazing costumes, and was brilliant to work with. Time really flew by, and indeed we did overrun by a couple of hours but that went unnoticed until we had finished and finally had a bite to eat.

I would love to work with Silk again, either here again, or on location.

Silk is one of the most wonderful people I've ever met - I had been looking forward to meeting her for many months, and heard so many lovely things about her too! Upon meeting her, I was not disappointed! Such a warm, open, friendly, down to earth, caring, compassionate and kind person! I knew instantly that we would get on!

We both live locally and know the area, so we were spoilt for choice on locations... When we came up with the idea of exploring a house neither of us had yet been to, but were both insanely curious about, we got super excited and headed off straight there, eager to have a look! I felt like a naughty school girl, creeping in to a big derelict house, and Silk was equally excited as I was! I felt like I had met my kindred spirit - it was a joy to spend time with her, as she completely appreciated the beauty of the derelict house, and saw the creative potential. We spent some time just looking round and discussing all the possibilities, before even starting to shoot!

Silk is an incredible model - such beautiful curves and such a sensuous body - she knows how to pose and does so with ease and grace. She has incredible stamina, and works very hard and very professionally, determined to help create the best images together no matter what. She puts more than 100% into what she does - her level of commitment is admirable! And very much appreciated, for someone like me who is still trying out techniques and learning about photography. Her patience and her input were invaluable!

The hours just flew by as we worked our way round the house, working with the the low winter sun that filtered through large grimey windows as it moved around. She is great fun to be with, lovely to talk to - and I knew straightaway that I had also made a wonderful friend. The images we created are super and I cannot wait to go for another adventure and work with Silk again! Thank you so much Silk!!

This was our second shoot together and I love working with Silk, she's a lovely person and super enthusiastic as well as looking fabulous in front of the camera. We spent a fun afternoon shooting in and around Aberystwyth and Silk took me to some really great locations. I'm super pleased with the pictures and look forward to further photographic adventures. Second shoot with one of the most creative models it has been my pleasure to work with.

Silk drove for more than five hours to get to me which really shows her complete dedication to the job !

We managed to get through ten sets in what was a most relaxed shoot, stopping to review each set and to make adjustments if required, this was a way of working that suits us and ensures that we are happy with what we are shooting.

We actually ran out of time to shoot the huge range of outfits that Silk had brought so this ensures we will shoot again............ the sooner the better for me !

My shoot with Silk was both magical and exhilarating. We shot at her sister's farm ( Cloudy's place ), which has to be one of the finest locations in the UK for shooting creative model photography - this was my return to this fabulous setting where endless opportunities exist.

The gentle and softly spoken Silk is a total pleasure to be in the company of. Her beauty is simply awesome as she smoothly progresses from pose to pose in a perfect flow of creativity. I cannot praise Silk enough for her extremely high standard of modelling and her willingness to provide the finest possible results.

I had the wonderful pleasure of working alongside this fantastic model a couple of weeks ago. Silk is truely inspiring, full of great ideas and can pose effortlessly.

We both worked with a great photographer "Straker" we shot at various locations around our local area, trying out so many ideas and just going with the flow of the day. The day flew by so fast, towards the end we were still inspired to do more but no longer had light left to work with.

Silk is a tip top model, I hope I get the chance to shoot with her again.There are still so many things we would like to do!!!

If you are thinking of booking this fantastic model do it!!! you won't regret it thats for sure :)

Worked with Silk and @Cariad on my first duo shoot and I could not have worked with a better team. Silk and Cariad were simply awesome together and the whole day flew by as we worked on a number of ideas in and around their beautiful mid-Wales countryside.

We created some wonderful images and I can't wait to work through them.

Not only is she a model with a stunning figure she oozes a passion and dedication that anyone who has met her can not fail to notice. Combine these qualities with her outstanding creative flare and you have the most wonderful model, able to take an idea and produce any number of stunning poses for you. Her total professionalism will inspire you and give you confidence. A model that I highly recommend.

Well this is going to be another OMG wow references as working with Silk and Cloudy is such a creative experience. I think we covered 7 different sets in a fun filled day, which was more like a bunch of friends having a good laugh rather than a very creative shoot.

Silk is just so lovely to work with she knows the angles to get the best sots and is always looking to get the best light which is a great help. Makeup is always great and immaculately turned out.

Costumes were amazing as is her body when doing nude, again always trying to give the best shapes for that special image.

Silk is a delight to work with so our next shoot is already in the planning, she is more than highly recommended and one of the very best models I know.

My shoot with Silk was a fairly long time coming but when we eventually shot it was certainly worth the wait. I don't think I have travelled so far to work with a model before but everything from start to finish was pretty much perfect. A perfect host, kind, generous and just a fantastic model. Silk will do anything to get the perfect shot. It's hard to find a reason not to reccomend both Silk and the amazing locations that she knows like the back of her hand. So a huge thank you, we created some stunning images together.

Ok, where do I start, Silk is an absolutely amazing model, I LOVE her and we got on like a house on fire, laughing throughout the shoot. Silk is just amazing at posing she pulled out some beautiful moves and the clothes she brought along put Flash Bang Wallops Aladdin cave to shame, some amazing outfits that worked beautifully with the makeup we pre decided on before the shoot. Absolutely amazing person, love her so much. Really hope i get to work with you again Silk!!!

Flash Bang Wallop

Silk hiked up to my gaff again - such an honour - she has a fabulous wardrobe and knows what to do with them. Together with Make-Up by Nicci we got some fantastic shots. Great poses, fun to work with, undemanding (to my shame I didnt get the dinner in....the day just kind of breezed by)

I'll really really look forward to working on these images - it's going to be a very hard choice.

I had the greatest pleasure in doing a shoot with Silk today and not only is she the nicest person but she is a fab model as well. Pre comms were great and despite having to travel some distance and it being Good Friday she arrived right on time. Given the distance she had travelled we worked through several ideas and concepts and she did it all with a smile on her face and happy chatter as well. I cannot recommend her enough and I am already thinking abut when I can find the tine to shoot with her again - possibly on location..:)

Today I did a shoot with Silk. We arranged it in 2015 and in that time had been in contact with regard to ideas and locations.

As I had never been to the Aberystwyth region, I had to rely on Silk for locations. Initially she asked what locations and costumes I wanted. Using her portfolio I sent images and this allowed Silk to plan for me. I was not disappointed with what she came up with.

Her communications prior to the shoot were excellent. When we finally met I felt that it was going to be a successful day as Silk was friendly and already packed ready to go.

At the locations, the terrain was not easy but Silk was not worried at all about a bit of mud or getting cold. She was more concerned that I got good pictures.

She has a good sense of humour, but as soon as she saw me framing a picture she posed and said nothing until the picture was taken. That, to me, is the sign of a good model.

Plus Silk liked to see the images and suggested ways of improving the result, whether it was something I should do or how she could arrange her costume or pose in a different way. I appreciated this interaction.

For any photographer who thinks that it is a long way to Aberystwyth, the answer is that it is. However, it is worth the trip. Silk's daily rate is very reasonable and she is not a clock watcher.

My advice is to book her and you will not be disappointed.

Silk is a lovely model as well as being a thoughtful intelligent informed active person, host, cook, home maker... she lives in an area with so many locations for pictures, from woods to seaside, and also has indoors space if the weather turns nasty (this is possible in the West coast). So a visit to her in her area and great cottage and very friendly dog can't but produce nice pics :) She really contributes to the shoot -we gathered and made props into the late evening . Silk is flexible as to theme, and can turn her hand to many things both photographically and generally - there's definitely an artist hiding inside that curvy body and long flowing hair. I really do recommend Silk, hope to shoot with her again, and explore her area more too.

And thanks to Silk for putting me up and feeding me! She and her partner Paul were most hospitable.
