I started taking photos many years ago when my school woodwork teacher decided that I was probably safer in a dark room full of noxious chemicals, than being allowed near his precious tools which I was determined to blunt, and his wood which I was determined to knock lumps out of, strangely my woodworking skills have not improved much, so perhaps he was right.

After years of using film and smelly chemicals, with a fully manual camera, and learning how to process film and print in both black & white and colour I made the move to digital in 2002 with what was then a state of the art 2.1 megapixel camera, and it appears that since then it has been a case of trying to keep up with the technology, a battle which I think that I am losing.
