To liquify or not to liquify?

I'm a believer in the liquify tool! Soft subject matter such as fabric, especially in motion, can benefit greatly from being nudged into an ideal flow. If you're going for a fantasy effect then liquify can be used liberally. I also use added blur effects to enhance motion, simplify unnecessary details or draw the eye around the image in certain directions.

The basic retouching in this image includes the facial glow-up (notice the under-eye dark circle removal, the blush and lip colour pop and the puffy glow, transforming one very tired and grumpy look into a more enchanting glare), some detail fixes on the clothing, and general colour enhancement.

This edit is in my more advanced category because of the use of liquify and blur to create a more dramatic effect.
