After working with Ross earlier in the year, he booked me for a day on my most recent tour to make my first ever venture to Belfast.

He is very well organised, helping me to arrange train times, picks up and even a B&B for the night.

The studio day went very smoothly, was not at any point a free for all group shoot, was very well ran and Ross set up some lovely lighting for the photographers booked on :)

The images we got working together were beautiful, but that can be expected as his work is truly incredible! It's a pleasure working with him and hope to be back again soon.

Ross is one of the best in the business and looks after his models exceptionally well, I stayed four days working with him at beautiful venue Bellurgan house and at catchlight studio. We did two days of workshops as well as some one to one shooting too!

The workshops are very rewarding and the people are always really good fun! It's a great opportunity to meet lots of photographers and also to learn from Ross. I love the images and the styling (Ross's dressing up kit is exquisite!) and it's lovely to have an Mua do my make up to add that little extra to the images and to the whole positive vibe of the day. Very highly recommended once again

Had an amazing weekend working with Ross at his beautiful studio, also modelling on a workshop and working with another couple of photographers, Ross's friends. Everybody I met that weekend was absolutely lovely and friendly, including of course Ross! A wonderful man, who makes you feel welcome and at ease instantly. I was so kindly looked after, fed and watered, which was appreciated :) The studio is warm, spacious with loads of room to spread your clothes all over (oops) :) The studio is also located within a really interesting building, which we were able to shoot around. Ross is an incredible photographer, talented and with great taste. I absolutely loved what we shot. Even before the shoot, Ross's pre- comm's were great, he is super organised, again friendly and everything is sorted quickly and easily. I have nothing but praise for Ross and his workshops and would highly recommend Ross to anyone :) :) I can see why you have so many glowing references!

I've wanted to work with Ross for quite some time now, and after dates never matching up when I've been visiting Ireland, we finally got to work together this time round when Ross snapped up a last minute cancellation :)

It was a total pleasure getting to meet and work with him, and I can totally see why he has such a glowing reputation amongst models. He is incredibly welcoming, kind and respectful. He also has such a creative eye and working with him is so inspiring, only made better by the images you see on the back of the camera. He let me free flow, just giving subtle directions to improve poses when needed, which is my favourite way to work as it feels more natural :)

The encouragement and positive feedback he gave throughout the shoot was also really lovely and instantly boosts your confidence in front of the camera, in turn producing even better images. From what I have seen so far we got some stunning images and I really hope I get the opportunity to work with him again :D

Another brilliant shoot with Ross, both this time with him and for his camera club. As always Ross is one of the most professional photographers you get a chance to work with, he is very chatty, talented, a great teacher and i always enjoy pushing myself on his shoots.

We captured some truly fantastic photos on our last two sessions which I'm looking forward to seeing!

I hope to work with Ross again in the future and can defiantly recommend him to all models traveling to Northern Ireland and to photographers looking to learn something new.

Welcoming, generous, fun and thoughtful, Ross McKelvey is a complete pleasure to work with, whether 1-to-1 or on the workshops he organises at Catchlight Studios. I have always had purely positive experiences working on these days, the energy is relaxed, productive & creative, and everyone involved is so lovely.

Ross looks after you brilliantly, approaching every part of the shoot with utmost respect and professionalism. In a workshop situation he ensures all the photographers understand how continuous posing can be tough work and how you need to check if the model needs a break. He is a fantastic teacher, giving such personal insight, with such an approachable & friendly attitude to all attendees.

Working together collaboratively on his own work is also really rewarding, as he offers encouraging feedback and helpful direction as well as giving freedom for posing and expressing your modelling strengths. We created many more stunning images I am so so proud to have been part of! Very highly recommended! :-D

Well what can I say, this was my second trip to Ireland and my first proper mini stay over. I must say what an awesome trip it was and one I will not forget and will certainly repeat!...

Myself and Ross decided to plan a few different things, workshop, 1-2-1 shoot and a studio day! I do believe it was the first studio day organised.

Ross's comms were fabulous he arranged somewhere for me to stay and sourced flight info making arranging the trip a whole lot easier.

I was more than looked after the whole trip.

Our shoot as before was absolutely brilliant, we got some really stunning shots. Ross is just lovely to work with, relaxed, chatty and friendly. The shoot just flew by!...

The workshops and studio day were a triumph also!... And certainly something I would recommend to travelling photographers or photographers who weren't aware of the studio!

And of course Ross is recommended by me to other models for certain!

Everything was sold out, he treated me like a queen on arrival and made sure I knew exactly what was set out for the day

Ross is my favourite photographer, he just has that way about him. You're always smiling throughout a day ! Always great vibes and every shot is a winner!

I can not recommend Ross enough, 100% professional, kind, easy going,looked after me so much. He made sure I was always warm, fed/watered.

Ross is a joy to work with. I love going over to Belfast to work with Ross because not only do we work well together, we really get on too. Ross also goes out of his way to make sure the trip goes as smoothly as possible, even creating additional workshops to enable me to extend my stay. He's a great tutor to the other photographers that attend his workshops also. Everybody always goes away from his days with a smile on their face and looking forward to editing their images.

He is very respectful and looks after his models very well.

I really enjoy working with Ross and I hope we can get another date in the diary soon... he's one of my favourite people to work with for sure.

I worked with the amazing Ross again at his fantastic studio whilst on tour. Ross very kindly arranged a couple of days work for me and I had a blast! Every photographer booked on the trip was very respectful, kind and considerate to work with. Ross unfortunately had to work on our day working together, leaving me with his lovely group of photographers- and I missed his company and great photography- but managed to sneak in a few minutes with him at least!

Ross is an absolute gem and I only wish we could work together more often! His work is just sublime- he knows his stuff!! His work will make any portfolio truly shine, whether you are a photographer, MUA or model. Ross and I worked on set doing rope and strong art nude shots and it was a great pleasure working with him. He delivers 100% every time and is always kind, respectful and always the professional. Ross is exceedingly skilled and knows photography at a level beyond any semi professional I've ever worked with. His theories and principles to what makes an image is remarkable and every single peice of his work puts these into practice. It doesn't stop there! The images straight off the camera are what most people would consider the final product. However, His eye for fine tuning and composition in post is fantastic and I truly believe these two particular skills are something you can't just learn. Ross was born to be an artist, a photographer. One more thing, Ross knows how to carry a situation, not once did I feel uneasy! He knows how to create an atmosphere where only good energy can take place, this is everything!

I had an amazing shoot with Ross at his gorgeous studio - I adored this shoot! We created some amazing images and I enjoyed the process so much. He is a breeze to work with and he is so dedicated to shooting beautiful images. We had plenty of breaks and chances to warm up and I'm sure we could have shot for hours more. Hugely recommended :)

Ross booked me for a weekend up in Belfast :)

The first day I worked with him and another photographer. Ross is highly talented with using lighting, creating beautiful looks and photos all day. I love how meticulous he is, ensuring each angle is perfect with some direction, creating better quality images.

The second day he held a workshop with six photographers. Each section was well organised, starting with some more flowing fashion poses and working to more contrived shots. I think Ross realised this is important for people learning photography so they are thinking about what they are doing and gives them a chance to direct the model :)

He is a lovely person to work with, chatty and with a great sense of humour so the days flew by.

The results from the days were outstanding, I really loved all of them. He has plenty of fabulous ideas and props as well.

He also made sure I was well looked after all weekend, providing snacks and drinks throughout the weekend.

Highly recommended by me and I'd love to come back!!

Ross and I have wanted to work together for gosh must be a couple of years now, every time we tried to arrange shoots, we never got the dates to go ahead as we were both so busy! But about a week and a bit ago we got a shoot booked within 24 hours of knowing we had two dates coming up for the following week.. Booked the flights and we were sorted!

Ross flattered me with lots of compliments and made me feel totally at ease, after travelling and being up since 4, anyone would be anxious to meet who they are going to work with, but with Ross even pre communication I knew he was a good egg! Hehe.. I turned up he was a gentleman and carried my bags and yes. We had a chat about the industry and told each other our backgrounds within the industry, our personalities just clicked!

I'm so happy to have worked with Ross, he's one of the best photographers out there! We also worked alongside 3 other photographers over the 2 days .. who Ross has previously worked with and it was just so fun! Great music, good vibes and I'd be happy to go to Belfast to model for him again.. ANYTIME!

Just brilliant! Both times I've gone to Belfast for two days shooting and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! Organising the trip was finalised with three short messages, my flights and accommodation were booked instantly and I always enjoy the structure of the days. I especially love the way the sessions bring people together creatively, regardless of their level of experience. The workshops are fab, I learn loads of interesting photography techniques and set ups from him while l am modelling! Top. Can't wait to go back!
