Very easy to work with. Relaxed. I enjoyed looking through his published images; Ross shoots with the intent for beautiful publications.

We spent 2 days together. What I saw in the back of the camera looked very good.

Ross was very dedicated to the shoot - even driving 2 hours to meet me at night!

It was very collaborative, he has a nice studio and collect fashion-props.

Though we had some miscommunications about a possible workshop, we resolved it.

Hope to build on what we started next time.

Ross approached me a couple of months ago to travel over to Belfast for a 1-2-1 shoot with himself and for a ballet workshop at his studio.

Pre-comms were flawless, I was treated amazingly well over the course of my stay, given ample breaks, picked up and dropped off everywhere, food, accommodation...everything!

Ross is very easy to work with, professional, competent, runs a tight workshop and creates amazing images. It was a true pleasure to work with him and his workshop attendees.

What a fab second shoot with Ross. He booked me a part of my tour to Ireland. He booked me as a model for one of his workshops where he is actually present all day teaching photography to other photographers. I learned a lot myself that day. He was also taking some images of me too which he has uploaded and I’m really impressed. I wish I could shoot with him all day everyday. I would recommend for sure.

Ross booked me for two days , one to work with himself and one for a workshop . Ross communications are excellent , it is precise and to the point . Ross was very helpful and organised accommodation for me and I was treated like a queen while I was there :) I loved worked with Ross as he is very laid back , a talented gentleman , and works well with his models as part of a team . He explained to me any set that he wanted to achieve and used direction where needed to perfect the pose . We got some stunning images .

On the workshop Ross was great with his clients , he was happy to help and patient . He ensured that they left happy and with some awesome images and that I was well looked after during the day with plenty of breaks .

I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful two days . I felt privileged to be there and would go as fat to say that it was one of the highlights of my career . Thank you for having me .

I worked with Ross for the 5th(?!) time recently at his studio in Belfast. Ross is so fantastic to work with, he looked after me impeccably, always making sure I have a nice place to stay and that I’m well fed and most importantly - warm!!!

He is an excellent photographer and I adore his work. He also helped me fill another working day by organising a group shoot with some photographers from Kilkenny.

He cultivates a respectful and professional working environment and I just love being there, I feel very attached to Catchlight studios now! Hehe.

Wow what a great first shoot with Ross. I came to his studio in Belfast during my first ever trip to Ireland. I knew the shoot would be great due to his incredible work displayed on his portfolio. I was really interested to see what we would do together. The shoot its self was very relaxed. Lots of chatting and drinking Coffee, nothing was rushed. We shot art nude the whole shoot but I was always wearing something beautiful that ross had brought with him to compliment it. What a great shoot it was. Dying to come back if you would have me! recommend for sure

From the beginning Ross was extremely professional and made me feel completely at ease, Ross gave great guidance throughout the shoot and we got fantastic photos, and even tried a new style that I had not done before which was very beautiful. Worked with ross a few times now! We always get on so great, and I feel so welcomed! I travel to Ireland to work with ross and he takes care of me, always brings me some snacks for throughout a days shooting, always asks if I'm feeling okay throughout a day. Doesn't push me too hard, shows me lots of his techniques with how he works the lighting and includes me into the images and process of the workshops

We work together one to one; and then we had two separate days of group photoshoots and workshop :)

Ross is a great photographer! The shooting with him is really easy. He understands and works very well with the lights. He is very creative and he has great ideas but he premits the freedom also for the model. If I have an idea or I would like to try something he is interested and he can find the the art in the crazy ideas too. One of my favorite photographer! I spent 3 days in Belfast working with Ross and we held a workshop together as well. Working with him was inspiring, he is extremely professional, he produces amazing pictures effortlessly. Attending the workshop, everyone learned a great deal about photography. Even amateurs were able to shoot professional pictures by the end of it. We laughed a lot together, the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. He even showed me around in Belfast so I won't leave without seeing the city. I hope we will have the chance to work together in the future. Ross really is a brilliant photographer, I can't recommend him enough!

Ross is a gem to work with!!!

I came over to Belfast again to work with ross on one of his workshop weekends. He is wonderfully organised, sorting flights and accommodation with no fuss at all. In person he is great company, good fun and a pleasure to have around. I even got to meet Freddie the Dog this time round which was just ace.

I have alot of time for Ross and always enjoy our shoots immensely.

Highly recommended and I hope we get to work together in 2018.

I had a brilliant shoot with Ross today.

He arrived on time, kindly picked me up at my hostel and we made our way to the studio. I was impressed by how enormous and well equipped his studio was. So many different possibilities to create.

I loved Ross's professional, relaxed and down-to-earth approach in the process and how meticulous he is about setting up his lighting properly and correcting details such as styling.

I highly recommend Ross and definitively look up for future opportunities working with him.

I did a proper "tour" of a good proportion of Ireland recently for the first time having only popped across for individual bookings before now... Ross was my very first shoot of the trip and quite frankly: there couldn't have been a more awesome photographer to kick off my week of shoots and get the EPIC creative buzz going. I had an amazing time working with Ross, and cannot stress how over the moon I was when he got back to me (following initial exchange thinking that we weren't going to be able to match up dates) with confirmation that he had become available. :D

He very kindly collected me from the station on the Sunday... we had the most creativity-crammed afternoon smashing natural light sets in the truly impressive building where his brilliant studio is located. The time just flew and every set had something really special, I has squealing with excitement looking at the back of the camera - this guy really knows his stuff! You can tell that Ross is a pro at fine-tuning the light with such care; and we're talking natural light here which usually many people "take it as it comes" because the sun tends to do it's own thing etc. but even then Ross was on the ball really sculpting the shots to the last degree and giving awesome direction as well as allowing me to pose freely. The last set we did of this particular session was up in the dusty attic... it's so funny when a shoot is literally BANGING out amazing results because you go from being uber careful not to get dirty to just going for it in the dust! :P It's so contagious the enthusiasm and teamwork though: when the person you are working with is working hard to perfect the images, it rubs off on you as a model.

So then it came about that we shot the day after too! I had received news of a last minute cancellation, but that's a silver-lining you couldn't beat since I had the chance to work with this talented gent once more, this time in the studio where he worked technical magic on some stunning conceptual ideas. Ross will see a look/vision and knows in his mind right away how to paint the look with light... The collection of props at his studio are pretty darn awesome too courtesy of the stylists he works with. :) It's to my understanding that Ross regularly does workshops, and though I wasn't modelling on one when we shot together this time: you just know they are good with Ross' pristine organisation plus his eye for creative work and lighting. I am so grateful that he offered to work together again as I was already chuffed to bits that we had managed the day before... It made my time in Belfast such a creative blast I cannot stress that enough and I have so much respect for the work he does, just as he has a lot of respect for the models he works with. If you're due to work with Ross soon, you will be bouncing off each other in no time at all as he's so easy to gel with! :D

The most professional person a model could hope to shoot with, very knowledgeable and a barrel of laughs too... Making cool photos is only half the fun of the job, the rest is meeting awesome fellow creatives and chatting about all-sorts inspiration related and generally creating a good flow. So much positive credit to this man, I certainly look forward to future opportunities to work together!
