References for Roois Place

Had a shoot with Miss-Marie at Rooi's Place and found the studio to be very well equipped with numerous lights, backdrops & props. It offers considerable scope & room for my style of work. Rooi was very helpful in setting up lights, moving props etc, not least in meeting you and guiding through a labyrinth!! of corridors to the studio. Rooi is a lovely chap and a very knowledgeable photographer. Definitely a studio I'd recommend and that I would use in the future.

Bang Tidy Photography

Have attended some events and studio days no at Roois Place and have always really enjoyed them.

Rooi is fun and down to earth guy and always happy to help with change of background or setting up the lights. Nothing is too much trouble.

The studio set up is great for what I need as a photographer its always clean and warm and I will be back for more events in the future.

Yay to Roois place!

Second time I've been here to shoot, yesterday was my studio day me and Rooi organised. It was a very successful day, with ALOT of laughs and loads of beautiful shots taken. Rooi is very very helpful with lighting to any photographer that wants it. He's happy to offer coffees and teas and great conversation. Roois place has got to be my favourite studio in Bristol - just feel so comfortable being there!

I did a 3 hour shoot with KatyB at Rooi's Place. The studio is well equipped and the man himself is a great host. I learned a lot watching Rooi setting up the lighting for the effects I asked for. When I was shooting, Rooi tucked himself quietly away in a corner and I forgot he was there.

The studio itself is easy to get to, being 10-15 minutes walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station. You really should check it out for yourself.

I've had some of the most fun and creative shoots in this studio it's great! Always have a good time there as it's so relaxed and very welcoming! Would definitely recommend shooting in this studio! Rooi is an awesome host also!x

I visited Rooi's Place again on Sunday (think it's my third or fourth visit) for a shoot with the wonderful Silk. Rooi was as (as always) very welcoming, very knowledgeable and very helpful (thanks for all the help with the lighting!).

The studio is a great space and really well equipped. Rooi is the icing on the cake.

Looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks time.

Had another shoot at Rooi's today and once again was perfect. Rooi is one of the nicest people I've met, he really knows his stuff (and works hard for the likes of me that need a lot of help with lighting).

The studio has everything a photographer could want.

Had an awesome day at Rooi's place yesterday! I had the pleasure of working at Rooi's for the first time yesterday doing a studio day as he was kind enough to respond to my casting. Great equipment, nice atmosphere and all supplied by the wonderful Rooi, what more could you ask for? Rooi is a great host and I would absolutely love to work there again.

Only other thing I can think to say is that he went out 3 times in the day to try and buy milk but they didnt have any... Now that is dedication.

Ghost Light Photography

I visited Rooi's Place to shoot with Silk on her studio day. The space is excellent with a variety of backdrops. It also has a great range of lights and modifiers to cover every eventuality. Rooi was on hand to help set up lights, move furniture and provide the tunes to help the shoot flow.

This is a tremendous space with lots of fantastic creative opportunities. I hope to be back soon.

I did a shoot with another model, and mua and a photographer today at Roois place.

Ive got a studio day with him in the near future, so it was great to use his studio beforehand to get an idea of what its like. Rooi is easy to speak to and a really laid back guy, but is more than happy to help with lighting and offering out drinks. The studio is a nice space and really easy to get to, right next to Temple Meads, and with a big mirror (knows how to make a model happy!)

I LOVED my shoot here.

Rooi was a darling and hosted quite a few of us for a full days shooting of a "Candy" themed shoot, with photographers and models coming and going at different times to make sure we were all hosted.

I found it very easy to get too via Satnav (Google has the studio pinned, so if your Satnav, like a phone, uses Google - it will take you right outside) the only thing I was a bit worried about was the placement. I thought I'd taken a wrong turn as it doesn't look like much from the outside, and looks a little like a warehouse HOWEVER - the inside is a different story. Well equipt, warm and Rooi was more than happy to help and move things and change setups with the togs, and there is a lovely station for the makeup artists and models to use.

Rooi himself is a sweetheart and I cannot wait to have a chance to shoot here again. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

He really made us comfortable from the start and whenever we needed help he was there to lend a hand and some great advice. The studio is great, it had everything we needed and more.
