Had the great pleasure of meeting and working with Louise of Rainbow FX for the first time at this shoot. Together with the model, Beyond.the.Brief, we have been planning and preparing for the shoot some 8 weeks before the event. Louise wholeheartedly embraced the project, contributing plenty of thoughts and ideas for outfits as well as hair and makeup. She created some draft makeup designs which we discussed, tweaked and agreed at a zoom meeting 2 weeks before the shoot.

On the day Louise turned up with multiple boxes of kit, her own chair for the model plus a ring light complete with phone stand to permit time lapse recording of the process. We had prepared 3 "looks" for the 8 hour shoot and worked our way through these. Aside from her domain, the makeup, Louise was a great photographer's assistant and contributed telling advice on the final staging of the outfits.

Having had a first look at the take, I can see that there are plenty of keepers for me to edit plus we had a very enjoyable day's work. Louise's contribution to the shoot was immense; she made my life much easier and created some stunning makeup designs. I intend to work with her again and highly recommend her without any hesitation.

I had a great time working with Louise. We were booked as a model and H&MUA for a shoot.

We hit it off straight away and have so much in common. I love her creative flair and we’re on the same wavelength for the look we wanted to achieve. It was so much fun and I absolutely loved the looks she created on me. I didn’t want to take them off! Louise is very skilled and has so many amazing ideas. The shoot flew by we were having much fun. I’ve made a greater friend and I know we’ll be working together much more. I can’t wait for the next time.

I would 100% recommend Louise.

I'd say I had the honour of meeting Louise during my collaborative shoot with two others. And since I've only had my makeup done professionally twice before and.. let's just say I didn't really like it, so I wasn't very sure at fist about someone doing my makeup again. Also why I never really 'ventured' outside of my very basic-makeup-box. But after meeting her, and having her do my makeup, it sort of created a sense of confidence in me. Because I was not the biggest fan of green or ever done eyelashes (or had anyone successfully apply them)-she did it. I loved my makeup for the first time. Actually liked the green, and the lashes. She exceeded my expectations due to past experiences therefore, I recommended.

Personality-wise? She's very helpful, kind and overall a pleasurable person to be around.

5 stars! Again, I do highly recommend her as an artist.

Louise is an amazing MUA. She puts in a lot of effort to create the perfect look for the shoot. She did our makeup beautiful and it stayed on all day throughout the wind and rain!

Adding to my cosplay list, I messaged Louise about potential ideas and she was up for something creative! We had to postpone our original shoot due to the rain and she found a new photographer who was able to join us on a date the weather looked good. They both turned up to my apartment, full of energy and excited to put the whole look together. It was a bit of a squeeze but we got the makeup done and wandered down to a couple of locations with Louise on hand for touch-ups. She even got involved holding the trail of my outfit up to add to the windswept effect (minus the wind!). I wanted to collaborate for this one so Louise went for a twist to compliment my costume, using (a whole lot of) hair clips as a hair piece which added another dimension to the look.

It was such a fun day, pretty much hanging out and shooting, with lots of laughs too! I would totally recommend working with her. Can't wait for the next one :)
