It was my first event at this stunning location and Mark was super kind to book a half day alongside photographer Neil78. Mark himself is such a cool, calm presence; such a lovely dude and so incredibly laid back to work with! Mark booked a couple of hours with me and we focused mainly on portraits/ fashion. He chose a super backdrop to work on and I really loved the results!

I worked with the lovely Mark again and it was so lovely to catch up after a year!! :) This time we worked together at my studio; "Heavenly Bodies Studio" with Roger More assisting in lighting and equipment.

Mark is the first photographer to have arrived by skateboard, which I thought was so quirky and impressive! :)

Mark is such a lovely fun and kind person to work with and to know whilst being professional, respectful and very courteous to work with as a model.

We worked together on a real mixture of portrait, beauty and fashion elements in the studio using the beauty dish and a selection of the beautiful 1950s dresses I have in my collection, which were really enjoyable to wear!

We finished the shoot creating movement images with a long floaty ball dress I had which is so beautifully captured mid flight with the many layers of material catching the studio lights perfectly! The images looked absolutely beautiful and I really look forward to seeing the results! :) Highly recommended to all models and creatives! Thank you for such a lovely day! Had such an amazing shoot session with Punkrockemo at Fine and Dan Dee Studio during my recent Studio Day.

Mark was really good at communicating and discussing themes and ideas leading up to the shoot so I know what to bring.

On the day of shooting Mark was friendly, professional and easy going. We mainly shot fashion and portraits and the most tasteful images ever which was such a breath of fresh air as I’m used shooting far too much lingerie. Mark really let me be myself and focus on facial expressions, poses and the shoot in general. He’s so good at directing and really fine tuned my poses.

The images looked incredible and Mark certainly brings out the best in me.

More than recommended from me. What a lovely respectful, gentle, peaceful, relaxed and easy going person who is such a good photographer as well.

He contacted me directly and we discussed the unique and unconventional concept he had and was helpful to provide reference images for inspiration!

On the day he arrived on time, and was very polite and friendly, treating both myself and studio a great deal of respect!

On set Mark gave great direction and enthusiasm when shooting and is very skilled technically!

I worked with Mark yesterday at Scarlet Door Studio. He’s quite new to model photography but eager to learn. I found Mark to be very professional and friendly and the shoot was relaxed and enjoyable. We spent an hour mainly shooting portraits but also a few full length images with Mark changing the lighting as we were shooting. He showed me some of the results on the back of the camera and they looked really lovely.

PoZers hosted a studio day with the beautiful Tann-Marie, and Mark was our early afternoon booking and as it was his very first studio Model, he was a bit apprehensive at the beginning, but soon got into the swing of things. I did some 1-1 Portrait Lighting with Mark, showing him a wide genre of sets during his two hours with Tann, and he was really thrown in at the deep end, but he took like a duck to water. Everyone is nervous on their first shoot, I remember mine like yesterday, falling in love with photography and being like a sponge, absorbing all the information and running away, being lost in the moment of capturing those first images, Mark did exactly the same. Two hours just flies by in the studio, and I’m sure Mark felt the same, it’s like learning to drive, once you have the skills, it’s then about developing your style. I don’t teach photography to get my clients to shoot like me, or take on my style, that’s being arrogant, I love to see my clients develop their own style, and Mark already knows what he likes, and this is a massive hurdle, that very few achieve in the early days. All of us start with zero references, all of us start with limited ability, but Mark has experience in natural light and being in the studio, just means, you get to control the sun, the clouds and the background, once you’ve taken control, the rest will follow through practice, and Mark has great potential, given the opportunity. Please don’t let his lack of references put you off, Mark is a lovely guy, was really kind, very grateful and fully respectful of Tann at all times. He really enjoys portrait work, this is a great genre to start with, and I’m sure with the right nurturing, and plenty of practice, Marks portfolio will be strong and his journey has just begun, so give him a chance and watch him flourish, and remember that time, when you arrived into PurplePort with no references ??? We all have a start to our journeys, so welcome to Marks. Thank you Mark for being a great student, for being kind and caring to Tann, and I wish you every success on your journey in the studio environment, and hope to have you back at PoZers, to watch your photographic story unfold.
