Modern Japanese Geisha - high fashion

This was my take on the Japanese Geisha and I was influenced by the Japanese tattoo culture, using traditional Japanese symbols as air-brushed tattoos on my models upper body. The wig/headpiece was constructed from coloured aluminium to keep it as light as possible for my model and is constructed, influenced by the traditional Japanese Geisha's hair style, the large Geisha rolls and wooden chopsticks. The makeup was influenced by the mua Alex Box, keeping the Geisha colours and introducing modern colour schemes. The eyebrows were also made from fine wire to match the headpiece.
