Bam Bam

Have not long been back from Martins shoot and it was a lot of fun especially when I discovered he had an alladins cave full of dressing up stuff from knickers,stockings to dresses and jewellery every girls dream!

We had communicated quite a lot on the lead up to our shoot and Martin had sent over some of his outfits he had if I had anything specific I wanted him to bring.Martin was very open to me bringing as much as I wanted and didn’t insist I wear his stuff he was very relaxed and wanted to make sure I felt good.Martin is a great fun guy and I could see from his work I wasn’t going to be disappointed.

Upon arriving he had the kettle on perfect! And opened up the fridge to an array of snacks and sandwiches.

I was slightly apprehensive for the shoot As it was my Only my second time doing one but he made me feel so comfortable.

This was my second shoot and I was so pleased it was with Martin.The whole day flew by and his chat was great very interesting man ,he was great in his enthusiasm and I enjoyed his happy dance when we got it good!

I would definitely recommend Martin he’s professional and a true gentleman and his work is fab.

Looking forward to working with him again

I had my second shoot with this incredible gent last Sunday and it was just amazing as the first!

Orson is an absolute dream to work with; he has ideas in the comms before the shoot and when it's shoot time, there's just creativity galore! And I love that he has more of a wardrobe and shoe collection than I do, haha. There is never a dull moment and Orson is the easiest person to get along with!

Orson has such an eye for capturing the perfect shot, both in lighting and timing movement. The back of the camera - it's very difficult to find fault. And that's before editing!

Time really does fly too quickly but it does mean that I get to come back and shoot again 😁

I genuinely can't recommend this brilliant man enough!!! Looking forward to Feb 😊

what can i say about Mr Carter!

Orson is someone i have wanted to shoot with for so long, but felt i couldnt do his awesome photography justice - so im glad he contacted me when he did!

His pre-comms are excellent, completely thorough even down to directions.

I arrived at the wonderful hall he uses to shoot and we had a cuppa and a chat, my god does he have some stories that were a joy to listen to!

We got onto shooting and i just had a blast, Orson knows his lighting! and very kindly had a heater on hand for my lil cold feet. Hes awesome with direction but was also happy to allow me to freestyle it.

Time truly flew by - besides his photography which speaks for itself, Orson is an awesome human to be around, very considerate and clearly knows how to work with models respectfully whilst creating a fun and comfortable environment.

To start Orson is a photographer I have followed and admired for years his reputation on PP stands alone. So I was thrilled when I briefly got to work with Orson a few of months ago when he booked a couple of hours on my studio day to shoot aerial at inspire Studios. We had a fab couple of hours which made Orson determined to get me back for a full day shoot. It was an understatement to say I was rather excited.

Well what can I say that hasn't been said before. Pre coms were spot on as before. His village hall is so cute with plenty of room to work with. Of course he was already set up when I arrived and was greeted with warm welcome and cups of tea (and a full fridge) :) Orsons kindness and generosity is endless which matches the endless array of outfits from latex to corsets to medieval dresses, shoes and accessories, all with his fantastic input.

His creativity never stopped and spot on eye for directions was perfect. His lighting set ups are insane. A real pleasure to work with such a talented photographer I admire, who has a great personality to match with laughter throughout the day. We bounced off each other for some fab team work and I’m already seeing some phenomenal results.

Really looking forward to working together again and of course would highly recommend to anyone in the industry 😁 xx

Just love having Orson at the studio, he is so much fun to be around and has some fabulous and creative ideas. To see him twice within a week was just great and with two very different models and shot ideas. He's brilliant with the models and knows just how to get the best out of them. Absolutely recommend him if you get the chance to work with him.

I was absolutely over the moon to know that, after discussing working together for a very long time, we finally got together to shoot, and oh boy, was it worth the wait!

We booked a half day at Inspire Studios, and had an absolute blast all the way through - there was lots of laughter and chatting as well as shooting and time simply flew by! Totally must praise him for his catering skills too as the very first thing he did was lay on a buffet of sandwiches, chocolates and drinks before unpacking all the beautiful corsets and dresses we had previously discussed bringing in our pre-shoot communication (which, you guessed it, is excellent and detailed).

I have been trying to find the right words to describe working with Orson but fear it will sound terribly soppy so maybe a simple ‘wow!!!’ will do the trick. He knows what he is doing, his lighting skills are through the roof (ignore him when he tries to tell you he makes it up as he goes along - blatant lies! ;) ) , and above all he makes you feel so comfortable, involved and valued, and is such a genuine and humble person.

All I can say is thank you for one of the best shoots I have attended so far - it was a great day and made me very happy indeed. Hopefully the first, but not the last shoot! :) Sue

Just returned home from a very hectic few days of touring and my final 2 shoots were with this amazing soul!

Now, I’ve literally lost count of the amount of times I’ve worked with Orson but there’s a reason I keep going back, I know whenever I spend the day working with him I’m going to have a blast, have a very full tummy from consuming all the goodies, laugh the whole time and see the most beautiful images at the end of it. I had been feeling a little under the weather leading up to the shoot but I knew Orson would be the medicine I needed! I had THE best time as always getting creative and throwing shapes with one of purpleports most loved legends! He is undoubtably one of my absolute faves to work with and to anyone who has the chance to work with him do not miss your chance! The epitome of perfection when it comes to photographers and shoot experiences! You rock Orson 🙌

I had the best day shooting with Martin yesterday! We had been planning on shooting for ages and I am so glad to have had to chance to shoot with him yesterday!

Martin is tonnes of fun to work with and a true creative in what he shoots and the aim of what he achieves. Just from the back of the camera, I know the shots are going to be amazing! Martin is just the easiest person to get along with and lots of laughs was had 😊 He is truly a unique gent and he definitely knows his craft and its a joy to watch him work!

I brought a mass of clothes to shoot but was absolutely delighted to see the amount of clothes, props, shoes (possibly more than what I have!), accessories, corsets and latex! My first time shooting latex and I know the results are going to be awesome!

I am incredibly humbled to have had the opportunity to shoot with the amazing Orson Carter. I genuinely could go on all day about the awesomeness of our shoot yesterday! Well worth the rainy drive to Somerset 😊 Thank you so much! Look forward to arranging the next 😁

Recently responded to a last minute message from Orson asking me if I could model for him as he practised with some lighting set ups! He wasn't sure if he'd get any useable shots but I was keen to work with him again.

He is such fun to work with, we could chat non-stop and drink tea all day long - but at some point one of us has to decide to get back to work! Despite what Orson originally said we DID get some shots and I absolutely LOVE the results! I had to force myself out the door and in the car to my dance gig though, I would have loved to have carried on way past our allotted time.

There will definitely be a shoot 3 in 2020. Thank you for a delightful day. See you again!

What can i say?..

It has all been said before so this reference will be no different.

Orson is genuinely one of the funniest, engaging and truly magical people to spend a day with and I think I may be a little in love!(:)

His boundaries, behaviour and treatment of models is impeccable and you totally have a sense of trust when around him.

His 'dressing up box' is every women's delight and I was like a child in a sweet shop having access to so many beautiful items to work with.

Orson has a wonderful way of directing his models..encouraging,relaxed and so funny!..(sorry Orson but the images of you lying on the floor, flapping your feet like a seal and laughing like a child will never leave me)!

I don't even have to wait for the finished images to know what we have achieved...pure beauty!

I feel truly honoured to have had the opportunity to meet, spend time with and create with this exceptionally talented and amazingly wonderful gentleman.

And incredibly proud to now be a 'Carter Girl'.

Orson Carter and I had been planning to together for a while and in August we booked to shoot in November.

Fortunately the space won’t be available on the dates we had chosen and we both happened to be available on the next Sunday (yesterday). I’m so glad our shoot magically came forward a month and a half!

He has a talent for talking and accurately describing Cornwall (where I’m from) in the most incredible way! He also kindly brought sandwiches and snacks to the shoot (sorry about the olives... oops).

We created great images and captured me perfectly. I’m so excited to see all the photos and to work with Martin again.

Martin and I have been in contact for over six months and my first impression was of a lovely, kind person with a good sense of humour. I'm glad to say, having finally met him, this is all true.

I am impressed with his preparation, he thinks of everything including food and drink. He has a wide selection of wardrobe, accessories and props and we put many to good use.

Six hours is not long enough to shoot with Martin, mainly because we had more ideas than time and the distance between us means we tried to do as much as possible. However, we could have kept going for another six hours and the rest.

Martin has a very good understanding of lighting and his own style but it is his talent that produces excellent images, not his equipment. He gave me lots of direction and we both wanted to create the best we could achieve but more than that, we had great fun.

Whilst this was our first shoot, I'm sure it won't be our last. Thank you Martin for everything.

Highly recommended but you already know that (or at least you should).

I was extremely flattered when Orson booked me while I was on tour in Salisbury as I have been an admirer of his work for a long time. So I was extremely looking forward to our shoot. Pre coms where fab as Orson wanted to capture aerial hoop and visited the studio the week before to plan out the whole set-up so we would be ready and prepared.

Before even meeting I knew he was such a kind character and he really is. So lovely to chat to and such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere from the get go. Orson created a great set up and let me go to work on the hoop. We got on so well the time flew by and with great team work we produced some fabulous results. On shoot we got chatting and realised we really did want to shoot more together and planned a full day in December which I can not wait for.

Of course I highly recommend working with Orson. This is one very talented and kind man!!! I am so looking forward to our next shoot.

Hebi Corsets

Reference at the end of the collaboration! I lent a few corsets and some bras to Orson around april, I think I remember, and durig all this time he was precise in communication, quick in post-production, and I just got the corsets back so I can also state he's extremely respectful of other people's belongings. If I didn't see with my eyes the hundred of pictures he created using my garments, I would say they have never been touched. I'm extremely happy with this collaboration and I can recommend Orson Carter to every designer who would like some perfect pictures of their art!

Second shoot with Martin and another success! I was lucky that he was down in Cornwall and had spotted some amazing locations for our shoot.

The day was productive and lots of fun! Martin is so easy to talk to and have a laugh with. He also brought along lunch and snacks to keep us going throughout the day!

Martin is very prompt at editing and sending back images, which is much appreciated.

I would love to have the opportunity to work with Martin again and I can't recommend him highly enough.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Martin for the first time and what a fun filled day it was! So easy to get along with, chatty and professional.

Martin has a great vision and knows how to achieve the ideal image. We spent time focusing per image to capture the shot we are aiming for.

Shooting at the village hall provided us with a great space that Martin utilities perfectly. He is superb at creating shadows, shapes and movement.

Martin also has an extensive wardrobe collection so we were able to mix and match our outfits which I thought really complimented each other.

Martin really looked after me throughout the day and it could have not gone better!

Oh Martin, what a pleasure he is to spend time with. I've been working with him for many years, and I always have such a lovely day. Firstly, because he's always armed with so many exciting ideas, and I always end up doing stuff I've not shot before. This time we shot a mixture of fashion, lingerie and art nude. Martin is incredibly professional and respectful when shooting higher levels, he made me feel completely at ease.
