References for Nicole Rayner

You know, based on her incredible and highly varied portfolio, Nicole has been on, well, several of my shortlists, from art nude to glamour portraits for a while, but she was always booked up solid - and now I know why!

Nicole is a savvy, confident straight talking Yorkshire lass who is so enthusiastic about what she does, and for making the shoot a success. We had a two hour slot to get some quite complex images and Nicole was straight to it. Her range of poses is extensive: she knows what looks good on an image, and instantly recognized which way the lighting was directed in a multiple light set-up and adjusted to match. She knows what works best for her face and body and is not afraid to suggest tweaks and variants of the setup.

Nicole is very engaging, and a natural communicator. She has a great sense of humour on-set and yet can switch to "model face" in an instant, as soon as the camera is ready and we soon got into a fast flowing sequence for each set. She also knows her way around a camera, and flash too, and called out a problem with an older light I was using for the background on one set, which was firing later than the rest of the lights, while I was still scratching my head :)

We had a great, productive 2 hour shoot, and produced some awesome images.

She is, of course completely recommended, and I'll definitely be looking to book Nicole for future shoots asap!

Last week I had the pleasure of a fairly last minute, and far too short, shoot with Nicole at a studio day whilst she was in the North West.

Pre shoot conversations were varied and amusing - and when we both chose similar images separately on our respective mood boards for the day knew it was going to be a good few hours.

On the day, not being an experianced art nude photographer, i figured the best bet was if we worked together on creating images - if you're going to learn and wanting to improve you may as well do it from one of the best models out there.. It ended up being one of the most instructive shoots Ive done...and am very pleased with what we came up with together,

Nicole is great fun to be about. Funny, chatty, possibly mad, creative, but also knows exactly when to be the professional model. An excellent model who I highly recommend and can't wait to work with again.

Always a delight when the Fabulous Miss Rayner comes for a visit, a nice few day's of random nattering and a ton of laughs (this lady's personality is infectious) Then to top it off we go and spend the entire day shooting, well when I say the entire day a fair bit of it was spent, chilling, messing about and full on laughter fits. But when it was work it was work she switched mode and became super model in the blink of an eye (no phone box necessary) her portfolio say's it all about her looks, figure and skills and it's all true but still seems an understatement. Brilliant few days and always a pleasure. Highly recommended.

Great second shoot with Nicole!

I can't speak too highly of Nicole, I think she's a fantastic model and a lovely person too. We shot a combination of location and indoors on a full day shoot and Nicole was thoroughly professional, great company, and hard working from start to finish. Great wardrobe and makeup too.

Most highly recommended by me and I look forward to our next shoot.

I had an unplanned and very spontaneous short shoot with Nicole and it was the best shooting fun I've had in the space of an hour for a long time. There's no point in me saying she is ridiculously good looking, or that she is an incredible model because you can see that for yourself in her superb portfolio :) What I will say is she is one of the nicest people on the planet and maybe just a little bit nuts (in a very good way!). There's no way you will be disappointed if you book a shoot with her.

Had a photo shoot with Nicole. What a super lady. Good pre-shoot comms -Turned up before time -plenty of outfits. We had a fun time. Beautiful portraits and wonderful art figure model. We tried several different studio lighting set-ups and she had great ideas and was very enthusiastic and helpful. She really understands good lighting and how to pose. Highly recommended.

Sister Of Sinister

So I totally got to work with the spectacular Nicole once again on Thursday and my god was I excited!! Its hard to put into words how amazing this woman is.

Firstly Nicole is one of the most professional models I have ever worked with, she works so hard and puts so much into what she does and of course she rocks at what she does, so to have another opportunity to work with this incredible lady I was totally blown away.

Nicole is one of the most lovely people I have got to know and this is only the second time working with her and already she has inspired me and not to mention made me laugh so much. She's so unique, beautiful inside and out and has such a big heart and such an incredible smile and bubbly personality I have really enjoyed getting to know her and having the chance to work closely with her on various different makeup looks has been magical.

This time I was working with Photographer Simon and creating 3 bold makeup looks on Nicole, we started off with something more simple but with a more creative edge to it, secondly we did something a bit more gothic which of course is right up my street and Nicole has such a stunning face for this sort of look and lastly I really went to town with this look and I really did not hold back. Once my fingers got to work there was no going back and Nicole was such a trooper for letting me flick paint on her.

Firstly this look was supposed to be a bit more messy so Nicole assisted me and literally did get her hands dirty by applying some of the body paint I was using to her arms and then I added the other layers on top to get the effect we were going for. The look itself was so dark but intense and so the last layers was the combination of shimmery gold, holographic pigments and a little bit of glitter to make the look really stand out and give texture. The headdress itself was simple and consisted of an arrangement of twigs, stems and dead flowers and then Nicole's hair would be gently wrapped round and lightly backcombed to complete the look.

When Nicole stood infront of the camera the look just came to life, Nicole really rocked this look, she is so amazing at posing and can literally pull off anything and seeing her work is just mind blowing, its so rewarding to see the final results and an idea you've created as a team really jump off the screen.

I would love to have the opportunity to work with Nicole again and hopefully I get to work with her once again when she's touring down my way as she's absolutely phenomenal and yes I too could quite happily curl up on the sofa, glass of wine and just chat away, she's my kind of gal :)

Wow...THAT Nicole! Yeah, you know the one...that one from York. IS SHE BRILLIANT OR WHAT?? :)

Our second shoot took absolutely months to come around, as it was booked at the end of our first shoot last May...and was the earliest time we could literally fit a date in. However, this time I insisted on shooting for the whole day...as I was looking for my "Nicole" shot, which until then I don't think I genuinely had.

This time...you name it, we shot it! Casual, implied, nudes, natural light...and all this was topped off with a visit from that genius MUA Sister of Sinister! I was looking for some very facially-expressive creative make-up looks, and I knew that Nicole was the only person the could have delivered that for me.

This lady is just great! Always enthusiastic and fun, and I do like how she is very adaptable and we can quickly change ideas if something isn't quite working. She's always ready to get THAT shot. She's an absolute ball of energy and you cannot help but get caught up in "Hurricane Rayner".

I just had such a brilliant day and love the finished images! I'm also very lucky that Nicole is an extremely close friend, and I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day than getting creative with her and catching up on the news! By the end of the day she was covered in make-up and exhausted, but still had a big smile on her face.

I'm happy to say I do now have my "Nicole" shot. ;)

If you haven't worked with her yet...WHY NOT?? Here's to our next shoot, and hopefully it's not as long to wait as last time! :)

Nicole showed up early and was FULL of energy and very excited for our shoot. She didn't waste a minute and was ready to go even before I was. This was the 2nd time I've shot with Nicole and I was impressed once again. Nicole is not camera shy and helped suggest some unique poses that worked great with my bottle theme. Our shoot flew by and I got some great shots that I can wait to edit and upload. I will definitely be working with her again in the future. Thank you.

Had my first shoot with Nicole at my home in Cirencester, Nicoles attitude towards her work is excellent after discussing what and where we would shoot Nicole went into model mode and was excellent she has the correct attitude to adapt to the different styles we shot, She is friendly bubbly and down to earth needs no direction but happy to take if the photographer requires a certain shot or style, one thing stands out with Nicole is her willingness to please , she is a lovely friendly and educated model and it was a pleasure to work with her and i certainly recommend working with such a talented model you would not be disappointed

I finally managed to get to shoot with Nicole - and what a great day it was.

Coupled with attending a fabulous workshop run by Jon Downs at the Hacienda studio in London - what a fantastic day indeed.

Nicole is as beautiful in real life as she is in her pictures, bright, bubbly, enthusiastic, artistic, athletic, expressive and genuinely dedicated to getting great shots time after time.

I cant recommend her highly enough and will certainly look to work with her again and again.

Shot with Nicole again but this time within a workshop with Jon Downs and it's always great to shoot with Nicole. Today with Jon's tips about light etc and Nicole's as every awesome poses, I captured some images I never thought I could before. Nicole will always go the extra mile or do more shots to get the image. As ever, always highly recommended from me as a model every photographer should have images in their portfolio of.

I had my first shoot with Nicole yesterday. I wait for it since last year and so I arrived at Hacienda and there she is...Nicole Rayner! Boom...! What a lovely young lady! Charming, beautiful and warm bright personality. Posture, great look and strength in every movement, dedicated to every second bringing the greatest shots with every click. She is amazing and I highly recommend her as a professional and valuable person and model.

I was lucky enough to get a spot on one of Jon Downs' workshops at the Hacienda with Nicole. Great combination.

Nicole was fantastic throughout, fun, offering good tips and a great model to shoot. She works hard to get the shot and understands the light well. Having done the workshop I now want to try the techniques out again with Nicole.

Highly recommend Nicole and I hope to work with her again soon.

She was an absolute pleasure to work with. Nicole and Jon make a great team. She seems to instinctively know how to work with the light, is full of great ideas and is a fountain of useful tips.

What can I say about the lovely Nicole that hasn't already been said.. She is definitely fun to work with, I would have to agree with her "Mam" that she is very pretty and the camera just loves her, and as for being a poser, she was on the go for 8hrs (2x 4hrs workshops back to back with Jon Downs) with the quickest of costume changes, and a 10 minute power nap over lunch..

It was an absolute pleasure to meet and work with this beautiful and energetic creative, and she was perfect for the workshop as she brings such a wealth of experience from a models perspective, that added to everything Jon was conveying.

I highly recommend working with this experienced and talented model, and I very much look forward to working with her again in 2018. Thanks Nicole :)

Another shoot with Nicole today. This one was an adventure to say the least. Some street fashion in near freezing temperatures (and few stops for coffees to warm back up for both of us), then some images shot at Nicole's and finally an adventure to shoot on a bridge in near freezing temperates again, with a light, strong winds (with the light crashing to the floor, but still working thankfully).

A great day shooting different styles with Nicole. Nicole is, as mentioned in previous references, a great model to work, offers ideas and will go that extra mile (or several degrees in January weather) to get the shot and is always a pleasure to work with. Once again, highly recommended as a model to book.

Had my 1st of hopefully many shoots with Nicole at the weekend. A fantastic model full of energy. Even the walk from the station to the studio was interesting as she was pointing out places she would love to shoot by.

The actual shoot flew by no need for direction as she just pulled pose after pose. 100 percent happy with this shoot a highly recommended model. Look forward to working together in the future
