I met Allan (nes) on a photography trip in Algarve, Portugal. Allan is a welcoming guy, and has some unique ideas and angles for shoots. I worked with Alan on a trip away in Portugal and we shot several times in different locations including a 1-1 shoot at the end which topped off the week!

Alan is a friendly guy and he got on well with myself and the group & was very professional. He has a clear vision for what he wanted to achieve & knows how to get those creative shots by having some ideas of his own too.

Look forward to discussing coming up to Scotland sometime to work with him again! Images are great and enjoyed working together. Recommended :)

I had another wonderful shoot with Allan! We have worked together four times now (I think?!) and each shoot has been so varied and fun to be a part of. I have fallen behind with references for this lovely human, but of course it is always a good experience which is why we have shot together numerous times.

Allan has great pre shoot communication, clearly stating ideas and expectations of the shoot, and always sticking to agreed levels. We have shot a variety of themes and levels over our shoots, from a halloween theme in the woods - being Sabrina from the TV show and a creepy bunny. We have shot some higher levels in a hotel room whilst being in Edinburgh at the same time as eachother, where Allan was fully respectful and made me feel at ease working to nude and some fetish. We have also done a summer theme with swimwear/some topless levels which all went very well.

Allan focuses on his lighting and spends time to perfect it wether indoors or outdoors, the background is always thought of, composition is also and he always shows images as we go along so we can both improve on the image together - which is great as a model to know the final image will be one you are proud of too.

We always have a great laugh along with him remaining a professional in his appraoch to shooting. One thing I love about Allan, is that I can always recognise his work on a social media scroll due to his way with angles, framing and lighting. He has his own style and keeps glamour style images looking very classy.

Everything from communication to execution is always both professional and fun with Allan. I enjoy getting to work together and have a good "geek out" with a fellow nerd on all the TV shows and movies we both enjoy! Anyone who can talk to me about Doctor Who is a winner in my book haha!

Thanks for all the shoots we habe done together Allan. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. Until next time ☺️

Had a wonderful first shoot with Allan remotely! And loved every minute of it!!

Such an easy going photographer, very enjoyable to work with and he remained professional and respectful throughout.

It’s a lot harder to keep the flow going on a remote shoot yet Allan had no issues with this. Full of fabulous creative ideas but also more than happy for you to throw in your own ideas and work together to achieve the perfect shot!

Pre-communicstions we're also spot on. Ideas, wardrobe, styling was all boxed off and booked in within a handful of messages!

Highly recommended to any level of model! The results are already turning out fab! And I absolutely cannot wait to work with him again very soon!

I had yet another fantastic remote shoot with the very lovely Allan. When he got in touch wanting to do another shoot I did my happy dance as I previously loved his edits and his company! He is a wonderful all rounder, fantastic to model for, fun and courteous at all times. He came with a clear idea of styles he wanted to shoot and together as a team we nailed it! I’m so excited to see what he does with the images this time round! He comes with the very highest of recommendations from me and I really hope to have the pleasure of working with him more again in the future!

Shot a few times recently with Allan,which is always a pleasure! Although our recent shoots were close in time,we had three completely different and unique ideas and themes for each one. Allan always executes each shoot he does really well,every detail is important and Allan spends lots of time afterwards working very hard on the images to transform them into something magical! As always,it is really nice to shoot with someone so imaginative! Could not recommend Allan more and I cannot wait for the next shoot!

After being in talks for several months on and off, we finally managed to arrange a shoot, albeit remotely! Allan's pre shoot communications were excellent, well thought out and properly planned, he took the time to study the sets (which is always important when relying on the internet!) and was able to choose appropriate clothing for each of the sets we shot. During the shoot itself he was polite and professional and the conversation easily flowed between us - I felt at ease straight away.

Allan's eye to detail is exquisite and he took the time to pay attention to the smaller things of the shoot, which made for more usable images rather than just shooting non stop. He was understanding that I was just starting to get sick and was very kind throughout the shoot, encouraging me to take regular water breaks!

The images looked awesome and I look forward to seeing some of the final edits!

Had such a lovely shoot with Allan!

He was professional and friendly and made it a very comfortable and relaxed experience.

It was my first time working with him and we had a nice wee chat to start with that totally put me at ease and let us get to know each other a bit more. We managed to get so much done in the couple of hours that we had.

His communication pre shoot and during the shoot was incredible and it was just a really fun and enjoyable experience shooting with him.

Recently had another fun shoot with Allan,possibly my favourite to date as I was in love with the concept!

Allan is always a pleasure to work with because of his creative side and his ability to challenge the boundaries of remote shoots and make them into something really amazing! This particular idea was one that I had wanted to try out for a while!

I had my second shoot with Allan and what a fun shoot it was. Pre-communication was excellent, ideas flowed nicely and I was happy to get a second chance to work together after the first time going so well. The first time we worked together was on a boudoir/glamour style shoot, and this time around we were outdoors with some creative theme ideas! We did have four in mind, and due to the busy nature of the area and the fact we couldn't help but catch up, since it had been a while, meant we only got through two, leaving us in communication now for the other ideas in the future - which is always good!

We were not sure if the weather would play ball, the location we picked, we imagined quieter, but luckily Allan allowed me to bring a friend along who helped by watching over the camera gear and my stuff as we moved around, letting us know if people passed whilst we had some skin on show as to not offend anyone. I never usually have people along so it was a fun experience and just goes to show that Allan is very trustworthy and professional by allowing another set of hands (and eyes) along.

I love the sneaky peek of what we have shot, and enjoy creating with this lovely and enthusiastic human. So, the question being, would I recommend Allan Burnes Photography? Yes I would, highly and heartfully. I can't wait until we create and work together again!

Had yet another super fun and creative shoot with Allan! Allan never seems to run out of ideas and his enthusiasm always sets up to have a really great shoot! This time we had another colourful theme which everyone threw ideas into! It’s always refreshing to work with Allan,and if you haven’t already you must! Thoroughly enjoyed my shoot with Allan, and cannot recommend him enough. From the prep before the shoot, communication was excellent to discuss details for the whole look and style overall, to the professionalism on the day chatting about the plan for each shot. Such a wonderful second shoot with this lovely man ! I assisted on this second remote shoot for my model daughter,Elle Baldwinson & Allan,as he zoomed in to shoot Elle on this remote shoot . Allan had great cons prior to the shoot & was so lovely,clear & patient with Elle .

The resulting images from our first shoot were just fantastic, and I have no doubt these with be equally fabulous, can highly recommend.

I had such a lovely remote shoot with Allan at the weekend!

I've worked with Allan for years now and always look forward to our shoots together, of course this one was always going to be slightly different being a remote shoot, but we still had a really good natter and a catch up just like we would in person which was lovely :D

Allan's comms as always were great on the lead up to the shoot, he let me know what his ideas were and which areas he was interested in too so I knew exactly what to expect. We bounced ideas off each other for changes to lights and angles and it was super fun from start to finish.

Can't wait to see the final results, I've seen one image so far and loved it :D

Happily recommended and hopefully will catch up in person next time I'm in Scotland!

Had a lovely first shoot with Allan yesterday, we shot remotely and it went really well! Allan was very prepared before the shoot and was clear about the ideas and what he wanted to get from the shoot which made planning run a lot smoother! He had great communication throughout.

I always enjoy working with Allan on our remote sessions and this last shoot was no exception. Allan was easygoing and willing to adapt to our circumstances and go with the flow and we were able to get some really cool pictures thanks to that. Allan is enthusiastic he's working hard to get more and more of his work published (he has already published quite a few from his shoots). It's great to know that our work is getting seen more and more. I'm looking forward to when we can do some outdoor location work together!
