Amazeballs

I reached out to Andy to see if he'd be willing to let me experience both sides of the wet collodian camera process & today it happened!

First off, personable Moo Pa knows his stuff (history, process). And I found him a bit of a raconteur in addition to a generous teacher.

Thanks to Andy I got a decent understanding of the process first hand, shooting, modeling and developing images on glass & tin plates.

Fabulous, never to be forgotten experience. Andy may have given me this wet plate collodian bug...

I had an amazing shoot with Moo Pa. We'd known each other online for years so it was amazing to finally get the chance to meet properly and do a shoot. He very kindly gave me a lift to and from the studio. The communication was great throughout and I knew exactly what to expect and bring.

He is a lovely person and we got along really well. I look forward to shooting with him again. I had an amazing time and I really enjoyed the whole shoot. It was amazing to see how it all works. He let me watch the photos develop which was really cool. It was such a lovely day.

The photos are fantastic and I would love to be back.

Earlier this month, I had the most amazing and inspiring day with Andy. It had been years since I'd delved into this type of photography, and what a beautiful experience it was to have this opportunity again. Andy truly creates core memories! It's incredible to capture a moment and then witness it come to life right before your eyes.Andy's enthusiasm for his art is contagious, and he made me feel incredibly welcome throughout the entire experience. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend working with Andy. You won't be disappointed!

I had the most amazing and inspiring day with Andy today!! I had never participated in this type of photography before and what an utter joy it was. You really feel like you are creating art!! It’s amazing to take the photo and then watch as the photographer comes to life in front of your eyes using chemicals!!

Wow!!! So inspirational and honestly a style that all models should try!!! It’s where our art all started!!!

What can I say about Andy!! He is a lovely person who made me feel so welcome - he is so enthusiastic about the art and honestly I have not felt so inspired and enthused in a long time!! Models you have to try this style with Andy it’s so amazing!!

The Danish girl

Had a great, interesting shoot with Andy yesterday. As he explained, its a slow process, but that gives plenty of time to change outfits and work out the best pose for the next shot.

Seeing the image gradually appear on the plate was fascinating.

I have copies of all the images, but really looking forward to getting some of the original plates.

Certainly recommend and will be back for more.

We just had our first shoot together and it was so fun. I learnt a lot about wet plate photography. It wasn’t a style I’d ever done before, so I was really keen when he approached me about shooting.

Very easy going photographer and all round person. So friendly.
