I shot with Mike on my Swansea tour, he was very friendly and easy to work with, we did lots of different sets and I’ve seen some of the results on his profile. I’d definitely work with him again if I’m in the area again, so I recommend him to all the creatives out there, thanks Mike :)

My third shoot with Mike! :) Once again, he had specific ideas, which we discussed beforehand... So many creative and crazy ideas - it is just so refreshing to work with someone who is a little bonkers-mad and totally on the same wavelength as me for once! :)

So, with a car full of props such as an iron and ironing board, pan pipes, flute, parasols, and a mermaids tail to name but a few (!!), we drove down some long back roads to a secret waterfall location I had discovered a couple of days before....

Shooting with Mike is a wonderful experience - it's just so different to any other shoots - and the surrealness of some of the things we did just make me smile when I think back on them! Our 'extreme ironing' image had its technical difficulties, and I think we can expand on the idea in future, but I'm so proud of it too - no-one else has made an image like that - it is just so unique and off the wall!... Mike really does have some excellent ideas and he very much deserves credit for this! :)

I'm impressed with Mike's level of organisation - he brings a folder to each shoot, with lists, itinerary, images of ideas and locations printed out... the level of detail is exceptional... It's good to have such a plan for a shoot - whilst remaining flexible too - which Mike does! Working through the list also helps us to keep focus, and it's a wonderful challenge to bring each idea to life - even if things don't always go as we expect or hope - I feel that we learn from them. It's a good way of working! It's also rewarding to see the ideas through, from initial concept, to the finished image.

Once again I will re-iterate what I said in my previous references too - Mike is 100% recommended by me and is an absolute gentleman - treating models with total respect and dignity, allowing for privacy, respecting personal space and boundaries, and listening to the model and ensuring she is comfortable and safe at all times. Anyone who wants to ask me anything about my experiences with Mike is welcome to contact me personally and I can reassure anyone that what I write here is true.

Retro Rob

I had the pleasure of working with Mike at Open Space Studios on another stage of the Retro Rob and Melany tour .

Mike was a powerhouse of brilliant ideas adding detail and life to the images that I absolutely loved .

From what I could see from the back of the camera made me feel very proud of what had achieved I would definitely shoot with Mike again and hope to book something again real soon thank you so much .

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Mike on two consecutive days, firstly at a tango duo group shoot with Retro Rob at Open Space and then the following day at a Film Noir Workshop also modelling along side Rob.

Mike was so lovely to work with, full of fantastic ideas and lots of enthusiasm for both shoots. He brought along superb props which he willingly shared with the other photographers. He was great at communicating what he wanted from a shot and captured some stunning images.

I hope to get the opportunity to working with Mike again - maybe next time out on location! Thank you Mike for two excellent shoots, highly recommended :)

We, again, had the pleasure of working with Mike when he attended both our Tango Bar duo shoot and Film Noir Workshop recently and, once again, what a pleasure it was to have Mike with us as his enthusiasm and creativity is boundless and his ability to absorb all the ideas presented and then, effortlessly, make them his own is awe-inspiring!

Mike is a wonderful person, as well as an amazing photographer, who brought along his own cool props which he, very generously, shared with the other participants together with a lot of his own ideas which was really appreciated by them and definitely contributed to making the two days' such a success and we can't thank you enough, Mike!

Had an awesome shoot with mike a while back! We went out to a local park and shot by a canal and a castle and then went back to mine for some lingerie and nude shots.

He’s a lovely photographer! Chatty, made me feel comfortable at all times and I love the photos from the shoot. He kindly let me use some for my social media and unsurprisingly they were a huge hit.

I really hope to work with him again in the future (even though I’m totally crap at leaving references 😆)

My second shoot with Mike.... And just as wonderful as the first one! Everything I wrote in my first reference still stands (do take a look) - this kind and sweet gentleman is a real pleasure to work with and just one of the nicest people around! Even if I was to never model again, I would hope we still remain in touch, always!

Mike is open minded and very creative - working with someone who embraces narrative styles and the use of props is like a breath of fresh air to me! I love this playful style of photography! ☺

He's totally on my wavelength. I'm not sure if that means he's bonkers mad or not... Perhaps so - but ah what a wonderful madness we both have, should that be the case!

Mike really pushes himself to do this - both physically and mentally. I know how important this is to him, and just how much he puts in to his shoots - all the preparation etc..... It makes me endeavour to do my best for him, in return.

A superb collaborative and creative shoot - great fun - a perfect day - many thanks, Mike!

We had the pleasure of meeting and working with Mike for the first at OpenSpace studio recently and what a pleasure it was, too!

Mike is such a lovely person courteous, so appreciative and a perfect gentleman who just sparkles with massive creativity energy!

Mike is a very fine photographer whose shoot planning and pre-coms are superb plus his communication of his, very imaginative, ideas is sensitive and collaborative, at the same time, really upbeat and fun so keeping the interest going all the time.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him 100% and would gladly have him back at the studio anytime, hopefully soon. Thank you, Mike!

Mike contacted me out of the blue, to enquire about a full day's shooting with me, focusing on nude in the landscape and also nude in derelict locations - two genres which I specialise in and am very passionate about. :) I am so very glad that he made contact!

I knew immediately from the first message that this was going to be a great shoot! Mike's communication is perfect - everything is well discussed beforehand. He had specific ideas and he conveyed well what he had in mind - including Pinterest links - and all the plans were clear and well thought out. Together we developed the ideas and discussed suitable locations. Mike appeared very intelligent, polite, courteous and respectful, and although he offered the option for me to bring a chaperone with me (it was kind to offer this!), it was not needed - I said in my initial communications with Mike that I felt totally safe with him.

Well my gut feeling was correct - of course, upon meeting Mike, I felt totally at ease. He was a real gentleman, treating me with absolute dignity and respect at all times. He looked after me very well indeed. I was happy in his company - he's interesting to talk to, and I felt that we got on very well!

This was Mike's first proper shoot with a nude model, and his first shoot on location - and also his first derelict property visit too... A lot to take in, on one day! ... I have to say, the quality of the images, right from the start, was astounding! Considering how difficult and challenging a dark derelict cottage is, with it's fluctuating light levels...!

We worked through the ideas that Mike had, and they mostly worked very well indeed! It's not so easy to get through a list, like you can in a studio, but we were able to make most of them work, although the time flew by so I think we had to miss a few ideas out. It was a refreshing change to have specific ideas and scenes to act out, and I found it to be very enjoyable - especially as Mike was so clear in his directions, that it made each set very easy to do. It's a great way to work!

My shoot with Mike was a wonderful day out for me, and just the sort of shoot that I love - leaving me feeling happy and fulfilled. This is a kind, sweet mannered and gentle person, who I can thoroughly recommend to shoot with!

We have already booked a second shoot - in a few weeks' time...

I worked with Mike again, at the fantastic Pozers studio on a Pin up and Burlesque workshop weekend and had an absolutely lovely day!!

We had such a lovely group and were well and truly spoilt with a beautiful lunch courtesy of Alley at Pozers studio and many wardrobe changes over the course of the day.

Mike is so professional and respectful to work with and fantastic company. He also gives great direction. The day flew by in the blink of an eye, like a pin up dream! I am really looking forward to the resulting images and hope we get to work together again soon! Highly recommended to all, Helen x

This was my second time working with Mike and I am so pleased he booked on the workshop at PoZers Studio. It was really lovely to see him again!

During the shoot Mike and I got on really well. We worked through different lighting set ups that Alley the studio owner created and you could see that Mike really enjoyed the different styles. I was so pleased he brought his hat collection with him again, I love that he has so many to choose from! I adore working with hats so it’s fantastic he brings those with him.

Throughout the shoot he was a gentleman, polite, chatty and just a joy to work with. The pictures he created worked really well. I would highly recommend working with him and I hope I get the chance to work with him again and his amazing hats! Thanks Mike!

I am a bit of a naughty girl, and I owe Mike several references now, but they are all going to sound the same, because my experiences with Mike, at PoZer's studio is always a really positive one, time after time, Mike is such a delight to be around. Most recently Mike has worked with the beautiful Lauren Joy, attending our studio lighting workshop, and as Mike is such a regular at PoZer's, he took the lead during the event, and as always, he was the perfect gentleman, he built up an amazing rapport with Lauren, ensuring that each and every image, he made a connection with her, which reflected in all his back of camera images.

Mike is always so kind, such a gentleman, so much fun to be around. He always come's to the studio, full of ideas, brings some beautiful hat's, items of clothing, quirky props and a collection of images that have inspired him, with the lighting, posing or styling, it's always a huge positive to be so organised, guaranteeing you gain as much as possible from your time at the studio.

I really can't recommend Mike enough, to any studio, any model, any group, as he is always a delight to be around, I am always so pleased to spend time with him, because it's always such a wonderful and positive experience, he really is a total gem, so please don't hesitate to work with this wonderful man, and I am totally spoilt this week, working with him twice in 7 days. Mike is one of the loveliest photographers you’ll ever work with, having him at PoZers is always such a pleasure, he’s always on time, despite travelling over 140 miles to get to us, and I’m so humbled that anyone would travel so far, to work with us, that’s commitment and dedication to your passionate hobby.

Mike’s studio photography has developed so much, during the months he’s been coming to PoZer’s, it’s such an amazing experience, watching his skill sets unfold before your eyes, over each and every shoot, his interaction, direction, and images have just got better and better, I’m so proud of how he’s come along, in such a short period of time.

This particular visit, he shot with PoZers in house model, Helen Diaz, and booked half a day with us both. Mike arrived with a strategic plan on how he was going to spend his time, what sets he wanted to take inspiration from, what lighting he needed, and brought a beautiful array of props etc. For Helen to interact with, and we flew through the sets planned, and ended the session with some of my headpieces, creating some fine art portraiture.

Thank you Mike for being such a wonderful client, and a pure pleasure to work with, time after time. Thank you so much for making all the models happy, and making every shoot a purely positive experience for everyone. I recently worked with Mike for the first time at the amazing Pozers studio where he had very kindly booked me for half a days shoot! It was our first time working together, so I am always a little nervous but needn't have been! From first introductions and Mikes emails and preparation for the shoot his passion for photography is very clear.

He is organised, very focused and well prepared. He arrived with a massive array of props and furniture (!) which was so lovely to interact with and really created a set for our shoot!

I especially loved the Pagan set, as its not often that I get to pose with my Pentagram and Book of Shadows!

I absolutely loved the results from the day which looked stunning on the back of the camera. Mike gives fantastic direction and was a creative force of nature! we had an amazingly productive shoot and I can't wait to see the results!

Mike is very respectful, professional and creative. I would have no hesitation in recommending other models and creatives to work together. Thankyou so much Mike and I really hope to work with you again! Helen x

I had a wonderful shoot with Mike at Shadow Studio. When I arrived he was really lovely and showed me the way to go as I hadn’t been to the studio before. We got chatting straight away and he is really easy to get along with. During the shoot we used various props and I was so pleased he brought them along especially hats! I love working with different types of hats and the ones he brought were just perfect. He is polite, chatty and just great fun to shoot with. Oh my goodness... is this only the third visit from Mike ? It can't be, I feel like we have been friends and working together for years. I am very humbled that Mike travels so far, to come along to PoZer's events and studio days, the commitment he displays, is truly outstanding and I feel so honoured, and blessed to have Mike at the studio, he's a truly wonderful gentleman, and lights up the studio with his presence. Mike has spent 2, 8 hour days at PoZer's, with our workshops, but this time, was Mike's very first 1-1 with a model, in this case "Gem", in a studio environment, this was Mike's time to shine, and own the entire afternoon, and he did. I am truly astounded, how much Mike's studio skills has developed, it's been an honour to help him find his feet, but now, he could easily dance his way through any studio situation, with just a little lighting assistance, leaps and bounds from where he was, only a few months ago. Mike arrived with lot's of props, accessories and ideas, and he was also full of enthusiasm, for the shoot ahead, as was Gem and I. Mike had created a mood board of lighting, poses, of portraits and full length styles, and I had the pleasure of creating the sets and styling with Gem, and we managed to work through them all, during Mike's 4 hour session, all of 3 of us were really pleased, we nailed every single image of inspiration, and Mike's back of camera images, looked absolutely amazing. I am so proud of him and honoured to watch his journey, evolve, literally in front of my eyes.Mike really is, the photographer to watch, and please, don't hesitate to work with this wonderful man, I can't recommend him enough, he's kind and caring to the models, he's full of amazing and inspirational ideas, he has many years of photography under his belt, and his studio work, get's better, on each and every shoot. Mike has evolved in a few short months, from a very kind and quite member of the group, now evolving onto a photographer, with no fear to direct, no fear of creating his own mood boards, setting the narrative for the shoot, having an understanding, of what lighting set up's he would like to work with and a visual picture of what the final image should look like. All those years of landscape etc,has been rewarding, as without this, the backbone of his studio work, wouldn't be so strong, so soon. Thank you Mike, for coming into the world of PoZers, for displaying true dedication, commitment, passion, for your art, keep doing what your doing, and never loose your mojo, you've come such a long way, in such a short time, your journey will continue to be magical, soon you'll be flying solo. 100% recommended from me, to any studio, model, stylist, makeup artist or photography group, meeting Mike will be a truly positive experience. That a Photographer!!!

Mike and his lovely wife were so accommodating from the word go. We had a location shoot that was only supposed to be for one day but turned into 2 due to the amount of creative ideas and enthusiasm bouncing from both of us!!!

I loved this shoot so much and the images have exceeded my expectations. Mike went above and beyond and with no hesitation to trying anything I wanted, it was a great collaboration.

All the locations he chose were beautiful and he defiantly took his time finding them and sourcing some kick ass props!

The images are completely different and unique to anything on my portfolio.

I cant wait to work with him again.

Any models that get an opportunity to work with him take it while you can, you'd be an idiot not too, by far my absolute favourite location shoot.

Cant wait for all the final edits.
