I had the pleasure of working wirh Mike a second time last week. Such a lovely gentleman to work with! He even brought heat pads to keep my hands warm on our outdoor shoot. I took Mike out of his comfort level and pushed him into edgy editorial fashion, and May I say he took to it like a duck to water! We got some fantastic images and even had time to stop for a chin wag and a brew!

I can't wait to see what Mike edits up from our urban editorial and I'm sure I'll be seeing/ working with this true gentleman again in the future 😊

He is organised, on time, and has great ideas to help the models.

Mike is a wonderful guy who is always there within the hour if I need him, extremely reliable and very meticulous in his arrangements of the shoot so everything is organised and works perfectly.

Mike and I had our first shoot together this week, at NLS, having met once before briefly while he attended an event there :) Mike's pre-shoot comms are excellent, he is very organised and sent through a detailed shoot plan to make sure everything was clear. He is a kind and creative gent to shoot with, very chatty and friendly and considerate of my comfort throughout, plus we got some lovely shots :) I'd be happy to shoot with him again and would recommend him to others for sure. I had my first shoot with Mike today.

It was a home shoot in Telford, doing some fashion, modelling evening dresses.

Mike was professional, easy to work with, chatty & friendly - Time fly by as we were working together.

Great communication before & during the shoot.

I am very excited to see the end results.

What a lovely respectable gentleman! I first met Mike shooting at Allerton Castle and I'm glad I did! Mike is excellent at pre shoot communication and draws up fantastic plans of the intended shoot. I had a fantastic time shooting with Mike today, and it was lovely to shoot a bit of fashion genre with him too, I'll have him shooting edgy editorial in no time haha! But seriously a lovely guy who definately knows his way around a camera. We got some beautiful shots today and I'm really proud of the work we came out with. Well done Mike! Why do I enjoy shooting with Mike so much? He's committed, he's articulate, he's thorough, he's dedicated, he's enthusiastic, he's just a delight to work with. Always striving to push himself (and me ha ha) we have a lot of fun together conjuring up themes and plans. This shoot had to be the most complex (and possibly most fun) to date. I can't possibly spoil it by revealing why, lets just say I can't wait to see how it all turned out.

Mike's punctuality, communication and professionalism is absolutely second to none. I can't recommend him enough. Thank you Mike

Had another great shoot with Mike doing a breakfast at tiffany's inspired look. Was lots of fun as always and mike arrived at the agreed time. He even brought me a hot water bottle as where we was shooting was rather cold (on the coldest day of the year so far). He was also very tentative to the fact that even with heaters it was cold and allowed me plenty of chances to warm up before going back to shooting when i was ready.

As always i fully recommend working with mike

This is more of a thanks than a recommendation although in these circumstances both amount to the same. Mike had arranged a shoot at Allerton Castle, a fabulous location in North Yorkshire (which provided some of the set for the children's film 'The Secret Garden'years ago). As the other party in Mike's plan had unfortunately dropped out, Mike advertised the vacancy and I took it up. It gave my son the opportunity to shoot some unique images for his portfolio. As Mike had already done the legwork as far as the location arrangements were concerned and all we did was pay our share and turn up. The location is a substantial size and I think our respective teams only bumped into each other three times at most. 4 hours of relaxed, unrushed photography. Mike is very much the old school gentleman in his manner and it was a pleasure to meet and share a location with him and his two colleagues. If he advertises here again, I'll certainly consider taking up the offer!

today was a special one for me, for a start the return reference will be my 200th, but more so because the shoot was at a beautiful castle, a castle which was fraught with problems from the word go - a shoot destined to fail, but, thanks to Mike it happened, not only happened but it was perfect!

And this is the main reason I am thrilled to have Mike as my 200th reference (assuming he leaves me one or course lol)

This man makes things happen, this man pays so much attention to detail, this man has the patience of a saint (anyone who knows me - go figure lol)

When the original shoot plans fell through it was Mike to the rescue, he dealt with the problem and took matters into his own hands, he rescheduled the shoot and just led which is what he does best! He organises, researches and plans and does all three to the utmost standard.

I have so much respect for this man.

An accomplished photographer whose technical knowledge is excellent, Mike is always looking to further his photography. I cannot recommend him enough and hope I will be working with him for years. Not only a great photographer, he is what I come to consider a great friend. Thank you Mike for today, every other shoot we have done, and, please don't ever stop being you

I have already done a reference for Mike which you will find in his references, I can't really say any more than I have before other than 'Highly Recommended' and a very lovely man to work with, I have to say he works well with models and toys to help them if they are struggling with poses and has a very nice nature about him, he is very prompt with his editing and is happy to change anything that you might want and I think thats all I can think of in addition to the comments I have said before so give him a try and I am sure you will not be disappointed! Pre-communication was very professionally set out by Mike which showed me that he takes his work seriously. Very polite, nice gentleman. He brang his wife which was nice to have a womanly guidance. Mike gave direction as well as letting me have my own input. He explained every step he was doing whilst doing it. I felt at ease at all times and really enjoyed the shoot. I would definitely work with Mike again and would recommend him to all types of models. A lovely genuine man 😊

Yesterdays shoot entailed less planning and more off the cuff style shooting and oh boy was it productive, in a half day shoot we covered waterfalls, wire wool spinning, urbex and even 'ice' caves - wow!

Mike's communication is second to none, and you always know you will be safe with him. He takes shoots very seriously and always ensures the model is safe, happy and is comfortable at all times. I lost count of how many times he helped me in the water. As usual working with Mike, the time flew and despite the fact we got so much done and with so much variety, there was so much more we could have done, it certainly was a good day. I can't recommend him enough!!!

Mike is very organised and had detailed planning for what we were going to shoot, communicated before-hand. I like to work to a strong concept so we started in the right foot straight away. On the day he was friendly, gave good direction and we worked together to achieve some lovely shots. Mike is someone who looks after his models and went the extra mile to make sure I wasn't too cold. Definitely recommend.

Todays theme was water, ironic considering it was the only rain free day forecast this week. Met with Mike at our agreed meeting place and he was kind enough to chauffer me around to our planned locations. The first was easy enough, very productive, spent a good hour having fun before setting off for location number two. Sadly this is when things went a little downhill. We hit a shedload of show traffic which seemed to tail for miles, best laid plans and all that :( After a lot of umming and ahhing we opted trying for an alternative route and we did eventually make the second location albeit with very limited time left. Saying that, and considering the trek to get there on foot (taken at a half run over obstacle strewn terrain), we managed to get some very good shots in. It was a shame the traffic hindered us, I'm sure we could have got so much more in, the so much more we had planned! And, if the traffic wasn't enough of an annoyance, it seemed every school for a 90 miles radius had decided today would be the day for an educational day out!!! we did manage to work around them thankfully.

For all the annoyances, I absolutely loved what I saw back of camera. Mike hasn't yet had chance to look, and I just hope he is as pleased as I am. Yes circumstances could have been better but saying that, I had a lovely day, it was fun and with great company x

Mike was part of a Cinderella themed shoot at Natural Light Spaces yesterday, as before, he was a delight to work with. Considerate, helpful and kind, a team player! He will happily jump behind the scenes to tweak, drape or throw something for another photographer to help get 'that shot'. He is always striving to better his photography experience and looks for ways to improve a shot and I must add, with great success. He very knowledgeable but simultaneously will listen to other ideas even if they break a rule. Highlight of the day for me - watching Mike get hoisted - he even did that with a smile! thank you for being part of our Cinderella event always a pleasure :)

Mike has been to a couple of our events and today was part of our 'Cinderella' shoot, comms were brilliant all the arrangements were sorted out and he was more than happy to accommodate a change in venue after being messed around!...

On the day Mike was a great part of the team, again working alongside another photographer, he is always fair and as well as taking lovely shots allows others to take their time to create equally wonderful shots!...

I would certainly recommend Mike, I think the fact that we allow him to keep attending events speaks volumes!...

Today Mike and I experienced Sandon studio, it was a first for us both and despite Mike drawing up an excellent plan with room details, you never actually know until you see it for yourself. The Studio was bigger than I expected and gave us more scope for different types of shots than anticipated. Always one to try and experiment, Mike had thought up some cracking ideas. The shoot ventured off at a tangent at one point but only because an opportunity presented itself (and no that wasn't the torrential rain we were blessed with). Working with Mike is always enjoyable and productive and today we got some of those much sought after 'wow' images, he's just gone way up in my estimation - he made me look like a lady - soft pretty and feminine (yes really!.)

Keen to learn, eager to experiment and get things right, a great imagination and a genuinely lovely person, you wont go far wrong shooting with Mike

Well, how do I start this off!

Me and mike had planned a rather last minute shoot in Manchester, it was our first shoot together. He was great at pre communication, had all the details planned & we were set to go

On the day, we had a fancy hotel room as an option for a shooting place If the weather was bad, but it was too good of a room not to use! We shot in the hotel room in dreamy full length dresses & then ventures into Manchester

Mike had already planned the places he wanted to shoot & knew the feel of the images he had in mind!

He was patient, very friendly & positive! Always!

The images he took were fantastic, I learnt a lot from him & I would highly recommend him

Thank you & LETS ARRANGE THAT second shoot!
