Matt Harper - what an absolute legend!!!!

This man has over the years, been a wonderful source of encouragement to me, become a keyboard friend but most of all this man has made me cry with laughter on so many occasions.

I think I first got in touch with him to say how much I loved his sense of humour and ethics after reading his profile notes, we just kind of clicked and I became his 'mistress' the rest is history.

Sadly living many miles apart and my circumstances preventing any distance travelling, it was unlikely our paths would cross. But, one day after realising me and the other half needed a break, we decided to go down south and pay Mr Harper a visit!

After very little persuasion (fool) he kindly offered us food and shelter for the night, oh and a handful of photos of negligible quality :')

We arrived mid afternoon and had the most wonderful evening, we laughed we cried, we shot, we groaned. We giggled, we played with dogs, we played with beans 8D we ate lovely food and we drank!

Somewhere in the midst of all that we took some photos too. Not just bog standard pics mind, despite Matts bad back and protests his kit wasnt up to scratch and he hadnt shot for such a long time, he took some absolutely epic pictures. I can honestly say I have been 'Harpered' :') :') :')

We had so much fun, such a wonderful evening, I cannot praise Matt enough, truly!!!

I feel honoured to have finally not only met but shot with Matt. And, I can honestly say it was a shoot I will never forget.

Brown Eyed Woman

Recently shot with Matt, he and his dogs welcomed me enthusiastically with wet noses, waging tails and a good cup of coffee, oh and some yummy toast. Of course I came barring gifts for the boys and a little something for Matt that may have had something to do with the warm welcome ;P the boys probably sniffed them out! Then we got on with the shoot, the first shot was spur of the moment so wasn't as well lit as we would have liked but a good pose. We shot two sets and got many great images. Matt outrageously complimented me on my bottom and legs in true Matt Harper style ;P, good job I was for warned by his port or I may have run away, well if I wasn't just in my lingerie lol after we finished the last set we had a good look at all of the images and chose 30 odd of the best to then cut it down to the final 10 to be edited, I can't wait to see the rest of the images! I would happily recommend Matt to any model! :)

well well well Mr Harper, where do i begin,

Matt met me from the train station and got straight in to checking out the booty cant say i was suprised, i spent the entire day laughing was fed well and definatley didnt go short of the vodka, i had such an amazing day and cant wait to go back again,

Matt gave great direction and payed some rather flattering compliments but never made me feel uncomfortable, in fact he gave me the confidence boost i needed!

i had such a brilliant day cant stress it enough! none stop naughtiness just the way i liked it :) think he met his match this week! ;)

you cant escape me now Mr Harper ill be back before you know it ;)

Whilst on one of my rambles dahhhn saffff, I went to visit my favourite glamour photographer Mr Harper and what an amazing few days it was!

Matt makes me howl with laughter, what a flippin' awesome human being this dude is, I consider him one my forever friends in this industry - with that wicked sense of humour and his immense cooking skills, he's the best host....

I got to work with him this time and we got some steamy outdoor shots, he manipulates the light beautifully and his hilarious commentary had me in stitches ♥

I can't recommend this spectacular individual enough, I love Matt to bits and he is such a blast to shoot with peeps :)

Shot with the legend that is Matt harper yesterday. Finally... (We first suggested shooting together years back and just never ended up getting round to it. )

Arrived to two collies sniffing up my dress... cheeky chaps! Day was full of banter and a lovely relaxed shoot. Think we chatted and laughed more than we shot lol.

Amazing pictures. It's obvious why he's so popular getting models for shoots. The pictures certainly don't dissapoint!

I honestly had such a laugh. Exactly the sense of humour I love! Fun shoot all round and ile defo be back again.

What can I say about Matt Harper?

I stayed with him whilst I was down in the South West for my recent tour and met/shot with this absolutely epic, amazing and fun photographer for the 1st time - what a week it was!!

His sense of humour is right up my street, and he had me cackling throughout my stay, whilst we ate, drank and were merry....Matt is the perfect host, his cheffing skills were wonderous, he chivalrously carried/dragged my suitcase around (what a gentleman!) and the den he made me in the lounge was to die for :)

We got to shoot (after I bullied him into it ha ha) and it was fabulous, lots of dirty glamour & other such things, with oodles of hilarious banter.....such a relaxed and wonderful shoot, I haven't had that much fun in a while!

Matt knows his stuff when it comes to lighting scenes, the images looked fab - he directs beautifully (& honestly heh heh!), with angles that flatter the form and in my opinion, is the most complete glamour photographer I've worked with....I'm really excited about the images and am going to have spam PPers with the sexy shots we got :D

I honestly can't wait to get back, hang out and have more shooty fun with this truly lovely & fantastic individual, Matt has a stunning way of making shooting so fun and is the warmest, loudest & funniest blokey I've had the honour of meeting - I can't recommend Matt enough, he will blow your socks off....and more ;)

I had the pleasure of meeting matt today whilst on a shoot with another tog. I had an amazing day throughout and matt was a delight, very humourous and me me laugh. He assisted another tog who is new to photography and remained professional at all times, i think we all made a great team and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend him.

OMG Matt harper!!!! what an amazing guy to work with one of the best in my eyes....a very funny host, look after me soooo good didn't just feel like a shoot was like a weekend away with good company I really enjoyed it and will be going back again.....

when I first arrived matt met me at the door with the boys they are the most cleverest dogs ive eer met very loving..borris went straight for my muff but hey lol..matt made it feel like home had a great first night eating n drinking loads of vodka matt even got on youtube n showed me his singing skills was amazing..

next morning we was hanging but after 2-5 coffees we was away..the shoot was amazing felt so comfortable and had a good teacher...the house is amazing to shoot in got lots of good shots have to say I think my best ones ive ever done.. im really pleased and very excited about my pictures..plus the ones out in the garden the garden is lush to work in...

I cant fault anythink at all with working with matt this weekend ive had a brilliant time im kinda missing him and the boys lol but ill b back very soon :) thank u so much matt ur the best.Faye xxx

Silky returned to chez Harper for the 4th time ( one visit didn't materialise in to a shoot, but that's another story :-), to be greeted by the dogs at the door and Matt in the bath ( ok I was a little early ).

After a good old chin wag and putting the world to right, we managed to get some great images , with Matt shooting again outside his normal comfort zone ( he loves The Mistress to push him) but still with his usual sense of humour and creativity .

It's always a pleasure visiting Matt, Boris and Gus, the hospitality is second to none and don't worry I will be back ( if you'll have me ).

For the duration of the shoot Matt spent the majority of the time on the floor looking up at me... I cant think why :0

We had some a fun shoot.. He picked me up from the train station close by and provided great hospitality! He's such a lovely witty, charming, uber sarcastic guy who has you in laughter for pretty much the whole time your there.

The banter between us both was endless and made the day go to quickly- that quick that iv/e now booked another shoot with matt in two weeks time... GOD HELP ME.. jokes :)

His house is bloody lovely especially the massive kitchen table - which I hope he's now polished after me star-fishing all over it.

I cant forget the two lovely dogs - they love having a sniff now and again- it was like having 3 boys chasing after you all at once with Matt as well ;)

We got some great pictures. He's a great photographer and now will remain a lovely friend to me I will defo recommend.:) x

A few year back now but it won't be forgotten in a hurry.

If you love the banter and to be licked my two hairy boys you're in for a real treat.

Great images and laughter non stop.

I have always admired Matt's great colourful, cheeky, honest and fun pictures here on Purpleport, so was delighted to actually have the chance to work with him at his great home studio in Plymouth.

Matt in person is just like his images. Fun, honest and straight to the point! He loves colourful sexy images!

He has a great repertoire with the model and a very relaxed shooting style! I learned quite a bit from him, and can recommend him highly.

Look forward to working with him again in the future!

Had a fantastic workshop day with Matt Harper and Becks123 yesterday on basic lighting and shooting. (Have also done a photoshop one with him which was very good too) Couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable day, Matt is a gracious host providing plenty of tea along with lots of interesting instruction / direction for me being a bit of a newbie. Becks' easy going nature and friendly bubbly personality made the whole day great fun. The added contributions from Matt's two collies Boris and Gus topped things off brilliantly. Will definitely go back for more help.

I've never shot with or even met Matt, all I could do is hope one day our paths will cross because I absolutely love his work and profile. I think his honesty is refreshing if not a little blunt and leaves you with absolutely no doubt what you will get when you shoot with him. His bluntnes is one of the main things I appreciate about his profile, non of the false love or insincere compliments trying to get you in front of his lens. More of us should have this cancer and attitude. It would make this site and industry far better for it.

Met with SDR1000 and an hour later I was on my way to shoot with Matt as they've arranged a social thing.

Had an awesome shoot with lots of laugh!.

What can I say about Matt ?

What a lovely guy.. And fantastic photographer. We managed to fit in a very short notice shoot.. I was put at ease straight away! Brilliant direction and he knew exactly what he wanted!

And as Rosie said- mind for cold wet nose poking your bum! Hovewer they are such an adorable doggies !

Just seen pictues from our shoot- and love them all. Really hard to pick up pictures i like the most.

Will shoot with Matt again soon.

Right errrrrrrm what to put about this awesome, frustrated perverted, kind hearted man........

Well as becks123 states.... I don't care what you think or say about this man..... Never judge a book by its cover... well matt's cover on-line is truthful, tells it how it is, honest and down right dirty and doesn't deny what he is like behind a camera and that he likes 'the booty'.... Yep that's Matt Harper BUT what you read is not just what you get... I was greeted open armed by this bedraggled pervert, he welcomed me and my other half with booze, his hospitality was 2nd to none and within half hour he was talking about my ass..... At the same time of him doing this, he makes you giggle sooooo much and makes sure your OK and I know 100% if I said stop that he bloody well would.... Not once, not ever through out the weekend did I feel uneasy or did I find him disrespectful. This is one photographer who likes to laugh and take friggin awesome pictures and talk utter nonsense about nonsense. I made him sweat, bend and work and I know i loved every minute of it.

I managed to get photo bombed by his babies who are just adorable....

Yes I would recommend a man who knows what he's doing and this man does.... Completely recommended.....

Yes this is long but you could go on quite easily forever talking about this man. Thank you

Oh ... my ... god... I'm not even sure where to begin ... If you're after a shoot where every 5 minutes you're doubled over in stiches, possibly with a cold wet nose (not Matts) poking your bum, then you've come to the right place. I had so much fun with Matt and his pups on our first shoot; he was easy going, dirty as balls, and hilarious to work with, whilst (by some miracle as we were just pissing around most of the time) managing to capture some really, really lovely images :) Can't wait to work with him again! Very, very highly recommended - though I promised I wouldn't be too soppy, so he's a proper twat too ;) xxx

I love this guy! I dont care what anyone says about him, he is a cheeky git but speaks only the truth without beating around the bush! He doesnt have the newest gear, so what, he is flippin awesome at what he does! I struggle to choose my favorite images everytime because he bangs them out one after the other, amazing! Matt has treated me with respect on every single occasion, he makes me feel extremely welcome, comfortable, knows exactly what will work, has plenty of tea/coffee and I enjoy every minute I am in his company! I will shoot with Matt whenever I can & recommed anyone else given the chance to do so too. Thanks again Matt X not so long next time, I promise :)

This was technically my 3rd visit to Matt's for a shoot, but the second one was abandoned with me being rather sick (not due to his cooking I must hasten to add), no images were taken on that occasion but I can vouch for the cleanliness of his big white telephone :-).

Now for the 3rd shoot…….. I love it when a photographer pre shoot is a little undecided as to what direction the shoot is going to go in as it calls for on the spot creativity and the possibility of creating something extraordinary and unexpected, and this is what we achieved.

Lot's of natural light (Mr Harper out of his comfort zone) and those purple sheets have really helped to make a fantastic set of images and I can't thank him enough .

Hospitality was once again the dogs too dahs and most importantly the shoot was fun, with the time just flying by.

Thank you to Matt and the boys for a great day and yes ……. I'll be back .
