Leon Lift

So, today was my first shoot with Matt, we shot at Thurston lodge and It was a duo shoot with my partner Tillie. I have to say that Matt was a lovely guy, he has a great personality, chilled, funny and full ideas which is the first factor of a great shoot. The second factor is someones photography skill and I must say, together all three of us nailed so many awesome shots today!

I left the shoot on such a high because we had got through so much, but with ease! I am so excited to see the final edits as his back of camera shots were incredible!

He is a undoubtably a great photographer, highly skilled with a camera and the perfect sort of person who you would want to work with in this industry.

I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and I hope we get to shoot together again.

I had the absolute delight of shooting with Matt at Thurston Lodge and it was a fantastic day!

Matts organisation of the shoot was wonderful giving a very clear look into what sort of images he was after. During the shoot Matt was incredibly easy to get along with and I absolutely loved shooting with him, he was open to ideas and working around different areas of the location creating - from what I saw on the back of camera - wonderful images!

I would highly recommend Matt and definitely hope to work with him again in the future. x

This was my third shoot with Matt - this time at the Natural Light Spaces in Northampton. I always look forward to working with Matt due to his laid-back nature and great sense of humour. We only had a couple of hours but achieved loads in the time, and I look forward to seeing the results. A total gent and highly recommended.

Matt applied to my casting call, I have wanted to work with him for a while so was really pleased that he wanted to shoot!

Matt arrived on time and we began shooting pretty much right away. Matt is extremely creative, with a ton of great ideas and concepts working around the house. We got through some really interesting sets and I'm really excited to see the results.

Matt joined myself and Chris Conway at the Windmill art studio for a workshop on Saturday and he was a joy to model for. He listened well to what he was being taught then put it into action when shooting. He was respectful to me as a model and worked well within the group. His pre comms were great and i would recommend him to anyone 100% and would love the chance to work with him again in the future.

Matt was one of the photographers that attended a lighting workshop that I hosted at Windmill Art Studio with model Amie Boulton last Saturday, and it was an absolute pleasure to have him there.

Although we didn't have a huge amount of time to get to know each other, I'd have no hesitation in recommending him as a photographer to anyone looking to work with him, either on an event like this or on a 1-to-1 basis!

Matt and his wife Arlene came on my recent Summers Abroad Photographic Holiday to Cyprus.

They are both wonderful company and fit into the group so well :)

Matt is a fantastic photographer and from what I have seen so far he got some absolutely beautiful images from the trip!

It was a pleasure hosting them both and I would welcome them on another trip anytime! So easy to host and just all round lovely people to spend time with :)

Highly recommended and hope to have them on a trip next year :D

Met Matt and his lovely wife on the recent Rachelle Summers trip with Summers Abroad and I can't imaging meeting two of the nicest people in the world. Matt was always there to offer a hand with a reflector or video camera and seeing his work on his instagram I was impressed on his take on photography both in style, working with Rachelle and Tillie and generally being a great person to be around. Highly recommended from me to models and I'd easily book onto another trip ASAP if I knew Matt and the other in our group were going on another trip.

Huge thanks Matt for a great shoot! Excellent pre-shoot comms, complete with moodboard, Matt came to my home well-prepared and keen to try out some new styles. We tried several different looks and themes and had a great time doing so! Highly professional, Matt was happy for me to add to the ideas process and pose freely. Our shoot passed by far too quickly (still plenty more ideas to try). Thank you once again, highly recommended!

MattB hasn't seen some truly awesome films which should make this reference a very negative thing indeed, but as he's awesome to talk to, work with and produces absolutely fantastic images, I suppose I should let him off... :P

Seriously though, if you haven't worked with Matt, you should. He's a lovely person who communicates well, makes sure you're comfy and is one of my favourite people to shoot with. Really looking forward to working together again!

Matt recently contacted me for a shoot when he was going to be in Northern Borders and we arranged a shoot at PurePreston Studio. I knew Matt would like that space when I mentioned it to him in our pre-comms.

We had such an amazing shoot, covering boudoir, fashion, portraiture, and some commercial fitness shots too.

Matt is lovely, friendly person. Very easy to get along with, I feel very comfortable working with him and he's such a great photographer it seems effortless to get beautiful images with him.

I would highly recommend him to other models and very much looking forward to working together again in Cyprus :D

Events @PURE

Today I met Matt for the first time as he hired my studio to work with Tillie. His communication was made well in advance and was clear from the beginning. He arrived early and was very easy to chat with at the opportunities we had. Clearly with good experience he worked freely without he model and I'm sure produced some great results. I would certainly recommend to other Models as well as studios and hopefully will be able to visit my studio again when in this region in the future. Many Thanks, Simon

Matt messaged me a couple of days before our second shoot - sadly he'd had a cancellation but luckily I was free - and thanks to his great comms, everything was arranged quickly and easily. Matt took me to his beautiful home where we spent the day shooting a variety of images as well as having a good giggle. I was well looked-after, fed and watered, and thoroughly enjoyed my second shoot with Matt. I'd happily recommend him to any model and hope we can shoot again.

Rachelle Summers

I always enjoy shooting with Matt, he is a photographer I just instantly clicked with on our first ever shoot and not only do I look forward to creating beautiful images together I also look forward to just generally catching up with him. I'm sure I'd of mentioned it in previous references but we have tonnes in common which always helps the conversation to flow and the atmosphere to be more relaxed which really helps in creating beautiful shots :)

Without a shadow of a doubt recommended by me and look forward to next time!

Matt came along to Tim's Cottage to shoot myself and Rachelle Summers on our duo tour in Kent. It was the first time I had personally met and worked with Matt so it's always nice getting a new load of ideas from a fresh creative mind as no shoot is ever the same. Matt does really amazing fashion based work and we spent the first few minutes of the shoot laughing about the fact that my suitcase was probably heavier (and more full of stuff) than both Matt's and Rachelle's bags put together! Absolutely bonkers considering the volume of namely nude bookings I get... But it's teaming up with people like Matt that make it worthwhile bringing so much variety because you get to mix and match awesome styles - especially on a duo booking! :) It was really fun getting the chance to bounce off each other with ideas too: a photoshoot with a good team rapport is the making of a productive one for sure and that was the story throughout the session.

Matt was very well organised: messaging before the day to discuss styles for indoors and out. He utilised the time brilliantly getting different looks of the pair of us together and separate but also made certain the lighting was good where he could and that probably has to be the biggest challenge of shooting a duo because you've got two bodies to think about in terms of where the light is going. The images looked really lovely on the back of the camera - Matt has recently managed to get some edits sent over too and they look even more fantastic on the big screen! He's a superb creative person to work with bearing such a great eye for a striking shot. Attention to detail, angles, composition and doing all two-fold with two models! I cannot give enough credit as a photographer, we got some absolutely wonderful results from the shoot and I only hope I get the chance to work with Matt again in the future!

He's a courteous gent, very respectful and chatty which is always a good thing with two chatterbox models! :) I find Matt very easy to get along with, laid back and enthusiastic from start to finish - he was very keen to hear our ideas and input for the shoot as well so we had a real blast juggling ideas around... plus talking about all manner of things from what to wear next to super foods! :D Any model due to be working with Matt can anticipate a productive shoot and lots of laughs. Highly recommended!
