After a failed attempt to host Martyn in Japan back in 2020, we finally got to meet and host Martyn on one of our UK events this month when he booked a full weekend at our Mutiny event :)

It was an absolute pleasure hosting Martyn. From the moment he arrived he fit into the group really well, he got on with all the other photographers and the models attending each day. He is a genuine, down to earth person and was great company for the weekend!

We loved meeting and hosting him and really hope to have the opportunity to do so again soon! Highly recommended :)

I worked with Martyn twice while I was in Holland recently, I met him 3.5 years ago on a workshop in Spain and really loved his images, so we stayed in touch and finally had the opportunity to work together again!

The shoot was awesome, location, styling, weather, company. Everything was top notch and I can't wait for the images! Hes chilled, friendly, collaborates well and shoots you from all the right angles, correctly exposed (despite very high contrast light!) No mean feat. We went for lunch afterwards. A genuinely lovely photographer, very highly recommended.

He is a personable presence to have around, creative and and took some gorgeous photos which I can't wait to see properly. Yayyyyy! Martyn and I finally had our shoot together: on a previous visit I had made across the pond, it was a huge pity when our diaries didn’t match up - but we kept in touch and vowed to make it happen when I got my life into order and came to Guernsey again. Betcha all have already concluded all the good things I’m going to say about our shoot right? :D

What a way to end my all-round fabulous working trip to the Channel Islands. Our shoot was my final shoot of the tour, and I can confirm with every ounce of honesty that this left the trip on a gigantic high. It was like everything just came together nicely: the weather behaved reasonably (even though it was the midst of winter and I had prepped myself for storms every single day!), we nailed the ideas we discussed in pre-shoot communications PLUS generating ideas as an ace team as we went along and the locations inspired... We finished the shoot already talking about potential concepts for next time before I had even got on the plane back! Martyn is a unquestionably amazing person for any model to work with, and the only regret is that the shoot just flew by way too fast! But everything from his clear, consise and super helpful communications beforehand to putting a lot of technical and creative care into getting the images right and also looking after me so well on the shoot, the half day we had genuinely ticked every box possible!

Martyn came very well prepared for our shoot: he provided the stunning dress that we planned to use for the conceptual shots we had talked about and took everything into consideration from suitable sites to work, and places to change since it was quite a complex fancy dress fit/fasten. We also managed to shoot some gorgeous swimwear/nude shots and Martyn was so careful to pic the locations with suitability. He worked with pristine efficiency and had me keeping wrapped up warm until he was sorted with his lights and we discussed as a team which spots/shots would would. And full credit to him! When I was posing away he still put masses of enthusiasm and innovation into achieving different angles to do the shots the best justice - even when it was insanely slippy and uneven underfoot! He is undoubtedly passionate about his work and this really shines when you’re working together, he went to every stretch to get the best from each moment. Martyn also really does value the input of the models he works with, even when there’s a brief - that united photographer-model rapport was still going strong from start to finish. I repeat: a fabulous photographer... And a delight to work with!!!!

In terms of professionalism, generosity and courtesy... Martyn nails every possible word in the dictionary. He was ever conscious of my welfare and the temperature taking regular shooting stints followed by a warm up one. He was just the kindest gentleman ever for helping me get to and from places before and after the shoot giving lifts wherever needed which made life easier with my (already reduced) but still heavy mass of luggage. And after the shoot, he went that extra mile and took me to get a full meal inside me before travelling. Models, you are absolutely guaranteed a nice and enjoyable shoot working with this awesome chap. :) And I’m hoping to do so again in the not too distant future!

He has a passion for photography and captured some beautiful images. He is creative and a true professional. i would definitely not hesitate to work with him again :) x
