Thanks for visiting. 

I am a Cardiff based photographer specialising in creating portfolio, fashion and portrait images.  Although Cardiff based I am willing and able to travel and can frequently be found in north Wales or the south West of England.  I am more than happy to work with under 18s and with a chaperone present. 

I don't want to be considered as a one shot wonder where the only thing that changes about my images is the person in front of the lens and therefore I do not work to a particular style or genre ~ I like to have constantly changing challenges, though I seem to achieve quite a decent beauty shot. 

I learned my camera craft the hard way - by doing and making mistakes.  I grew up using 35mm and medium format film - I know my aperture from my shutter speed, what difference a change of focal length makes other than zooming and how to use them deliberately for effect rather than by luck! 

I consider myself to be a traditionalist / purist photographer - I don't push pixels around the screen more than I absolutely have to and do minimal editing ~ most of the images you see here are what I saw in the viewfinder at the time other than cropping or brightness / contrast adjustment ~ because I do my best to get it right (composition, focus, depth of field, lighting) in camera to start with.

I have absolutely no interest in acquiring front page images here and have deleted or unlinked those images of mine that have received FPI status.  If you like what I do then GREAT if not then I am not worried, if you want a photographer that will work to get you an FPI here - move on from me.

Possibly perversely for this site, I am not particularly interested in photographing naked flesh.  On the other hand I am always interested in hearing a models creative suggestions that are not based on repeating images to a prescribed formula.
