References for Martin Cosgrove, Fine Artist

Had my first session as a life model this morning with Martin and what an enjoyable experience it was, different from photo modelling completely.

On arriving sat me down and explained to me the content of the session, the type of poses and the length of time for each one, also giving helpful advice on the do's and don'ts of any future sessions I may be asked to partake in.

I was made to feel at ease right from the start, with us chatting about this and that while I posed and he drew the results of which I am more than happy with.

I'm happy to recommend martin wholeheartedly to anyone thinking of dipping their toes into the world of Life Modelling

Martin came to draw me and take some reference photos, it was very relaxed and I had a lovely session chatting away.

Pre comms were fab, he is very prompt and organised.

He’s easy going and a really interesting gentleman, it’s well worth the time if you get the pleasure of working with Martin.

I'm always happy when Martin Emails me to say have I got a spare couple of hours and I find the discipline of sitting for an artist really relaxing and then there's the added bonus of chatting (most of the time) with Martin and catching up so a productive session in all ways! Martin is a great guy and if you're thinking about trying this then you should go for it!

We focused more on photos this time for an exciting project and we did many different outfit changes and ideas

Martin makes you feel very comfortable and this is always a very collaborative process. His pre shoot communications are spot on. Would highly recommend working with him 😊

My first time working with Martin. From start to finish, Martin's professionalism and care was absolutely outstanding. I was incredibly excited to model for Martin's art work, something very different to my usual shoot work! Martin took the time to talk me through how he worked when drawing before we met and was great at communicating throughout our time together.

We worked in Martin's home studio and he allowed me to free flow through my dancing and then hold various poses for 5 minutes and 10 minutes. Martin was very mindful of how strenuous dance can be, therefore he encouraged me to take regular breaks and to not pause too long in super difficult movements. Despite the few hours being intense and challenging, Martin was really mindful and kind throughout. The time genuinely went by very quickly because we were chatting a lot too :)

It was brilliant to see his rough sketches at the end of our time. I am very used to having near enough the finished product instantaneously when doing photo shoots, so I know the end product of Martin's creation will take some time! Can't wait to see how he turns what we did together into art!

What a fantastic way to spend a few hours. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Martin again and hope we get to soon!

I've never sat for an artist before but Martin was very attentive and does encourage breaks and for the model to be comfortable
