Outerlimits

1st Shoot with Maddison who had been recommended by a friend - we did a shoot at the studio that I work out of.

Maddison arrived with a case of outfits that we had discussed and also had a suggestion for an outfit that she was keen to wear. Her idea was brilliant and we made that the main focus of the shoot.

We worked with a MUA and the shoot was really fun and I was so pleased with the photos that we made.

Maddison is a lovely friendly person and very easy to work with. We are already starting to discuss shooting again and I would have no hesitation in recommending her

This is really a double reference as I had 2 shoots with Maddison in the space of one week. First up was a group shoot on behalf of Sheffield Photographic Society. This was Maddison's first group shoot and she was excellent through out - really threw herself into the whole thing. Her interaction with the various photographers was first rate - regardless of whether they were experienced studio workers or first timers.

Enjoyed it so much that we organised a second shoot (121 this time) for the following week. Maddison was again excellent - she brought a great range of outfits enabling us to work through a number of different sets - taking full advantage of the superb facilities at ZAVOD studios in Sheffield. She is an absolute natural in front of the camera - a real pleasure to work with . Highly recommended.

Month 4 of our 12 month project. This time it was our first studio shoot since we met on another studio shoot back in January. We had 8 hours of studio time available to us and we were joined for part of the time by Fernny Fern.

As it’s an ongoing project Maddie and I have regular communication between shoots which meant we had a good idea what outcomes we were seeking. Maddy and Fern had worked together once before as runway models at the same event but shooting as a duo was a first for Maddie. As I expected she nailed it and we got some super images. We worked through a number of genres in Maddie’s range and took images in both duo and solo shoots.

Each shoot we do seems to improve upon its predecessor and I can’t wait to see what we create in the next month or so and beyond. Maddie is a lovely young woman and an aspiring model with a bright future in front of the camera. Shooting with her is a very enjoyable and productive use of time.

This wasn't the shoot that was intended due to a late change in circumstances for Maddison but the glorious weather meant that it was too good a day not to formulate an alternative plan. We quickly decided upon a trip to Lincoln for a photowalk.

Not having been for over 20 years I had no ideas about possible locations and Maddison had never been at all. We agreed on a summer look, two outfits were packed and off we went. We spent about 5/6 hours walking and shooting and came home with some very good images to add to our growing image stock as part of our extended 12 month portrait.

As we get to know one another each shoot improves and I know that I could not have found a better newcomer to work with than Maddison. She is keen to learn but will add her won styling and throw pose and location ideas into the hat which is great. I am so lucky to have this opportunity.

Maddy came with me to Leeds for a location shoot, the first in our extended project together. Pre-shoot comms were very good and we had an idea of what we would shoot and where depending on what weather we had. We shot in a variety of locations and what turned out to be a 5 hour shoot flew by.

We discussed our next shoot at the end of April and agreed what we needed to find before then and we both threw ideas into the pot for future shoots.

Maddy is going to become a very popular model and I am very happy she has chosen to work with me on an extended project.

Shoot number 4 came hot on the heels of the fashion show shoot. This one was shot on location and had been in discussion and creation for a few weeks. We had 4 sets sketched out and all were achieved. We even managed to squeeze a little bonus set in whilst the sun shone.

Pre-shoot comms were excellent and as we get to know each other better, the standard of our work is going up with each shoot. I have no doubt that by this time next year Maddison will be in high demand and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work with her on a regular basis this year.

This was an u expected shoot which only came about when I answered a casting by FernnyFern seeking a photographer for a charity photoshoot as the original had become unavailable. I asked it would be ok to take Maddy along for the experience and she ended up on the runway.

Given that it was her first ever runway she rocked it and looked totally suited to the job.

As I was there to photograph the show it was inevitable that I would shoot some of Maddy. The images are ones that we are happy with and it was good to share another step on her journey.

Today was the first of what I hope will be many shoots to come. Maddison and I been discussing the shoot for 2/3 weeks and we had a broad outline of what we wanted to shoot. She arrived early and comms were great from the outset.

I found her to be very personable, easy to work with, a good listener but confident enough to pose herself. Very adept at makeup and hair which is a huge bonus. I am very pleased with the quality of images we achieved on a first shoot.

We already have Shoot 2 in the diary and are looking at dates thereafter. I am happy to recommend this lovely young woman to all photographers.

Well what can I say about this lovely young lady. Had our first shoot today, great comms and turned up on time. Maddison brought a suit case with modelling clothes after some ideas. We tried a bit of lingerie, denim and some accessories. Maddison took direction well and we were looking at the images and working together on the poses. We had great shoot and planning some ideas for another shoot soon. Definitely recommend, doesn't waste your time and is a happy person to be around. :)
