Studio f/11 (In abeyance)

I had remarked a few months ago that the studio had several walls, not all of which form part of the final plan for the building, and that I would regard someone painting directly onto one or more of them with equanimity or indeed enthusiasm.

Eventually we got round to doing it.

We made a complex emergent plan involving video, stills, of course, and a time-lapse series of the image and activity in front of it as work proceeded. I screwed something flat to a wall (one which is not in the final plan) and primed it a few days ahead, pulled up some carpet tiles to show floorboards that fitted my concept of an artist's studio in that corner, and Laura turned up with an array of paints and tools and amiable company on the day.

So, good pre-comms, nice organisation, pleasant to work with, and the process itself was as I had expected both interesting to watch, and I think an interesting subject for an eventual tightly-edited video/AV from our other collaborator.

And as a background, I think it offers considerable potential.

Worth doing some more of this I think.
