I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Kieran and Cariad on their modeling trip through Belgium and the Netherlands. Having Kieran assist and tutor me on our morning photography session was of great value. I haven't had a more relaxed shoot than this one, as he helped me out picking shots, with camera technicalities, and he even got us coffee and tea during the breaks we took. Cariad and Kieran make a great and highly professional team, they were very supportive (me being quite new in model photography) and highly creative. Wouldn't hesitate for a moment to collaborate again.

Kieran helped out behind the scenes during my remote with Cariad moving lighting, sets, and plants to help create sets. He also was on hand with tech support and making sure things were going smoothly behind the camera. Great to catch up with them both after several years be it via a remote. Great team and photographer in his own right.

On each occasion that I have worked with Cariad Celis, her partner Kieran Dahl has been on hand to assist with the logistics, which have included driving, preparing food, and generally assisting with the shoot.

Having really enjoyed Kieran‘s company, while I’ve been working with Cariad, I was very much looking forward to a four-day shoot in southern Iceland with them both.

Kieran is excellent at the logistics for these trips, and both he and Cariad were there to pick me up spot-on time from Keflavík airport. He worked tirelessly throughout the five days, spending long periods driving always in good cheer, despite some of the very long days that we worked. In fact, when he got back from these long days he then prepared and cooked delicious suppers, and made us packed lunches for the following day!

As well as being extremely efficient at the logistics for this trip, Kieran was also wonderful company, as he has a depth of knowledge and photography, including cinematography. In fact I was most grateful that he agreed to shoot some behind-the-scenes footage for an Iceland exhibition to be held next year.

It is a very significant benefit that when you work with Cariad, Kieran is there working extremely hard and in such good spirit to make sure the shoots are a complete success.

I recently had a remote shoot with Kieran's partner Cariad Celis where he was on hand to set up the camera and lighting and provide technical assistance. He was absolutely invaluable during the shoot, setting up the framing and lighting I wanted while offering his own expertise to help make the images even better than what I had envisioned. I found Kieran to be a true professional who really knows his craft and he really helped to elevate the standard of the images I came away with. Very highly recommended!

I met Kieran on a location shoot in the Peak District, with Cariad Celis.

He supported our shoot in every possible way, as driver, wardrobe master and bag carrier, location scout and photographer.

He was excellent, good company, having a huge knowledge of great locations, and offering advice on how best to shoot them. Also, he provided an excellent cup of coffee, at a much-needed moment. :)

It was a complete pleasure to work with him, and I hope to do so again. Totally recommended.

Organised Chaos

Kieran is Cari's fiance & as he drives this marvelous model to her shoots he normally sits away from the shoots but I thought nope I want his input so I got Kieran to give me his input on my images Kieran is brilliant & has an eye for details so any model looking to shoot with him I would say good choice in working with him.I am working with Cari again soon so I will be having the joy of this splendid chap's company 👍🏽.

Even though I had kept in touch with Kieran through his photographic work and also through our written correspondence over the last two years, it was so wonderful to see him again in person when he accompanied Cariad Celis on our most recent shoot.

No sooner had they both stepped inside than they offered me a few very kind and supportive words regarding my own photography.

As one might expect, the three of us had so much to catch up on after such a long absence. I could have happily stayed up all night chatting with this lovely twosome who have, very quickly, become close family friends.

Kieran is always there whenever his assistance is needed and although he is very quiet and soft spoken, he often contributes very valuable and truly inspiring ideas without ever expecting anything in return.

Since I am gently breaking myself in with regards to the photography world after a gap of two years, I feel that this most recent session has given the three of us the opportunity to spend as much time together as possible off camera as well as on. Another occasion like this is welcome anytime.

Spent a day in Kierans company yesterday on a days shoot with his partner Cariad.

His location knowledge is excellent, offering location suggestions and options that suited the conditions - a misty start, and permanently overcast day. This guy did not complain at all with being loaded with Cariads wardrobe, lugging it to the top of the fells and along a rocky slippery riverside path, then acting as lookout when the situation required.

A great man to spend time on a shoot with with.

Thanks Kieran for all that you do to make the whole shoot experience a great one.

I met Kieran on my recent shoot with Cariad. She referred to him as a very good Voice-Activated Lightstand (or something similar).

Well, that was sure very true, but what a lovely guy also! I have never received anything like as much help in a shoot before. Kieran did everything I asked of him, including setting up and clearing away after a messy flour shoot! Selflessly.

He also offered great contributions to the 'art' of the shoot, with ideas for things to try and in his position as CFF (Chief Flour Flinger)! He clearly is a knowledgable and skilled photographer.

Altogether a really nice bloke who I was (am) proud to be able to call my assistant on this shoot.

If you get chance to work with Kieran, bite his hand off!

Kieran is a pleasure to work with and is very easy to get along with. Cariad and I worked together on our first shoot and helped to bring Kieran's ideas to life. He had two strong ideas he wanted to create and he came prepared with the necessary items to make them happy. He is a very quick thinker and can take any obstacle into his stride, adapting to make the best of the situation. During the ideas he noticed the background/floor colour didn't match his idea so he adapted and played until he was happy.

The back of the camera images looked stunning and I'm very happy with how our shoot went!

I highly recommend Kieran to other creatives, whether new or experienced. He has a way of making you feel at ease and like you've known each other for years! :D

Although Kieran has always been a very welcome visitor, it was so wonderful to have him around to shoot at mine and, with J Black, make full use of my photographic space for the first time when they respectively worked with Angel Black UK and Cariad Celis who duetted with each other.

Ever since I was first introduced to this quite, soft spoken, warm and friendly young gentleman by Cariad quite recently, he has always been one of my sweetest inspirations and biggest influences in so many ways.

On this occasion, as he has always done, he helped to carry all my camera equipment and had assisted me greatly.

On an aesthetic level, he both inspired and encouraged me beyond words during an autumnal scene which was shot in a local park. I invited him to look at my test shots and work in progress, and he made a few suggestions which helped me achieve maximum visual impact.

Kieran is always happy to give, and never asks for anything in return.

Whilst J Black was on his slot with the aforementioned models in the attic space, Kieran and I placed ourselves out of their way on the floor below, and had fun just chatting and playing guitars.

Not only do I admire and adore Kieran's work, but I always feel comfortable in his presence. It therefore gives me great pleasure to recommend him highly to everyone.

Had the pleasure of meeting Kieran on a planned multi shoot day with Cariad, Angel Black and Ramees Farooqi.

If ever there was a photographer that just oozes art! ( yes, the oozes word)

We had time to sit and talk while the others were working which gave us time to swap stories, share work and things we had planned ( not to mention our shared love for the macabre, and classic horror films:-) )

His work matches his personality and with that I am so eager to watch his amazing work on future projects he has planned.

Great meeting you Kieran as well as the amazing Cariad!

What a fab guy Kieran is! A true gent and a wonderful photographer

Cariad organised a shoot for myself and her, with Pauldcz and Kieran as photographers. I stayed over with Kieran and Cariad the night before and Kieran was a truly wonderful host. He made the most wonderful food for us (he's quite the chef, as well as a great photographer!) and made me feel incredibly comfortable with his stories, humour and his hospitality. It turns out we have a little in common - especially our taste in dogs (we both have lurchers!)

On the day of the shoot, Kieran very kindly woke up super early to make us all a lovely packed lunch, plenty of hot coffee and snacks to warm up with in the cold weather. He then drove Cariad and I to the location to meet Paul in their lovely camper van.

Kieran as incredibly helpful, offering to carry bags and helping the other photographer to the location, as well as Cariad and I. Kieran is incredibly considerate, kind and caring, and these traits shone through during this shoot.

During his shooting time, he was a fabulous director - he had plenty of ideas, and knew exactly how to execute them. He was open minded to my wacky thought patterns too (balancing books on my head in a derelict train) and was also open to creating some shots for my Black Dress Project (can't wait to see these images especially!). He is clearly a very talented photographer.

He was a great assistant for Paul/Cariad, took direction well with regards to their lighting and was always on hand to help. He made sure we were all safe and careful climbing around the trains, and was conscious about us all being warm too. As I said, a true gent!

When we finished shooting, and arrived back at the van, he prepared our sandwiches on to plates, got us all a drink and made us all a pot noodle to warm us all up! (it was hecking freezing!) after our break, he kindly drove us back to his an Cariads home where Cariad and I continued shooting with Paul. Kieran regularly popped in to make sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything, continuing my thoughts on him being a great host.

I can't recommend Kieran enough as a host, as a photographer and as an assistant. I would be honoured to shoot with him again, and hope the opportunity arises in the future!

I am privileged to be the first reference for Kieran on purple port :)

We have shot on various projects and have a lot more in the making, watch this space! Kierans background in film is a huge benefit to his style of composition and the concepts that he loves to work on.

I should probably say now, I am biased on his work and talent due to him being my soon to be husband. You will see that we edit and shoot together a lot. We spark each others creativity.

We have a whole catalogue of ideas in the making for future shoots, I will likely be on hand with any shoots he undertakes with other models. I will be the assistant, makeup artist and tea maker.
