John and I teamed up for a long awaited, (life has a bad habit of getting in the way of these things), second joint shoot yesterday. John is the true personification of the term gentleman, he really is a gentle man and a great pleasure to work with as a fellow photographer and for the models too I am sure. I can fully understand why John has so many friends on both sides of the camera and why so many know his name. He is a very good photographer with some specialist kit which he is very adept at using to great effect to get different, very interesting and great results. I can highly recommend John as both someone to share a shoot with and to models as a very kind, thoughtful talented photographer and gentleman. Keep up the good work John, hope to see you again soon.

I had a fantastic shoot with John and Steve on Tuesday. I had shot with Steve a few times before, but this was my first time shooting with John.

I had a wonderful time with the pair of them. We drove around to several locations and the weather was lovely. Both photographers got some lovely shots of me. Both John and Steve made sure I was comfortable at all times and had enough breaks to warm up when I was shooting with my feet in cold water! I also got chance to learn a little about photography to by asking John questions about his infra red camera he was using for some shots. He was more than happy to explain some of it to me.

I thoroughly recommend John and hope to work with him again soon!

I really can't big John up more than I have done already, but what I will say is he is consistently wonderful to work with!

Always on time, always professional, polite, funny and enthusiastic. He brings some cracking ideas to the table aswell as allowing room for your own and goes the extra mile to ensure you're more than happy with what is captured!

Always enjoy shooting with this gentleman and I can't see that ever changing!

I managed to sneak a bit of time in with this lovely man today whilst doing an unexpected last minute shoot with several other photo6and another model!

In the short but sweet amount of time we got to work together i could see that John is a brilliant photographer and i look forward to organising a shoot together soon!

I had my first shoot with John today and even though the weather was not the best I think we both enjoyed the locations. John is easy to get along with and happy to let me have an input into the shoot. He showed me the images on the wide selection of cameras he brought along with him.

I hope I have the chance to shoot with him again and I look forward to seeing the finished images. Thank you for a great morning. ( next time I wont invite the midges!!)

A third shoot with John, different location ( for me anyway ) and a different lass for both, working in the dark is so much fun, but it added to the location and the lass we were shooting, good fun all round and a very successful shoot. Already having idea's about the next combined shoot.

6ish months since we last shot but my gosh it was worth the wait.

me and John did a 1/2 studio, 1/2 location shoot this day.

ideas came freely...conversation didnt stop...

it was an all round, very productive day which granted us both with work we were proud of.

being naked...covered in potters clay...outside in a garden when its raining...was, although chilly- one heck of an experience.

i was fed...watered...able to have a lovely hot shower...given the images straight away on a CD...and driven to the train station.

john is a kind and gentle man.

john is a talented and highly professional photographer who, if given the chance to work with...should be grabbed with both hands with much conviction.

Had possibly one of the most fun shoots I've ever had the opportunity of doing, last friday with John. I have worked with John a few times now over the years , and John is never short of a unique idea or two. Always a pleasure to see and shoot with. Lets do something again over the summer!

Had a great shoot with John today At Joel hicks Studio. He came fully equipped, with a head full of ideas.

Pre coms were excellent, we both knew what we were getting out of the 3 hours booked & we got straight to it soon as we arrived.

John's ideas where great and from what I seen back of camera, the shoot will come out amazing ☺ He also had a few props for me to use during the shoot to an that bit extra.

Although we were planned to do Art Nude, I was only able to do topless due to health but he was very understanding & worked well with what he had.

Thank-you for a great three hours, I look forward to seeing the images and shooting again in the future.

I had my 1st shoot with John. We booked the shoot a few months ago, and it was worth the wait to work with John, he produced fantastic images, and there was not one bad image and they didn't even need editing. The weather was warm and sunny so we even had a shoot out in the back garden and produced a nice set of images. He is a gentleman, we worked well together and it was a pleasure to work with him. I enjoyed my shoot. John is very professional and passionate about his work, which you can see in his amazing work.

John is full of great ideas. Wow, I am so impressed with the images John created and I love every one taken in each set, this photographer has talent, I love the images he created. I highly recommend this photographer 100%. His photography and talent inspire's me.

John and finally had the opportunity to make our shoot (that we had been discussing for such a long time) happen and I cannot say how worth the wait it was! :) What a truly wonderful gentleman who is not only one of the most downright respectful and kind-natured people I have met in the industry but also a really passionate photographer whose photographic eye can really see some amazing creative opportunities when he teams up with his models. A shoot that I thoroughly enjoyed, and it goes without saying that I very much look forward to working with John again in the future.

We first got our shoot booked in (at Joel Hicks Photographic studio) a few months before the date when I was talking to John about my travel notices to the area... we secured the timeslot with no fuss at all, carried on communicating about like-minded creative interests and it was certainly a shoot that I was looking forward to from the word go. On the day, John arrived very well equipped ready for any photographic opportunity that would arise as we shot various sets in the studio - the sheer variety we got through on the shoot was spectacularly productive and the back of the camera was getting us both rather hyped up. John style of photography is beautiful - he knows exactly what feel he aims for in an image and composes the lighting/angles so well so that a lovely story can be felt from the finished photograph. I felt an instant click with John based on this very imaginative interest; the flow went from there with not a single set going to waste. John thinks outside the box when he is shooting thus getting results that have his own wonderful signature and are a real joy to view. :)

The slot we had booked - I'm sure someone tampered with the speed of time somewhere in there! It was as if we begun, chatted a little bit, took a few images and then before you know it the time has gone! It made such a difference being able to bounce off one another, I felt so at ease working with John and despite his complete courteous approach he is ever so fun to work with. I have no doubts that models he books in the future will find him as charming a person as I did and enjoy lots of laughs in-between the task of making beautiful images together. A real star, thank you so much John.

Recommended without a second thought whatsoever. :)

Had a wonderful shoot with John :) He is a lovely chap and we had some lovely conversation over tea before we started. He knew his stuff and the shoot flew by! Very happy with the images captured! Highly recommended :D

An excellent shoot combined with John and Robyn Brook earlier today, John pulled Robyn out of a hat at an early hour this morning when our planned model cancelled at very short notice, John and I worked well together and got the best from Robyn to all our advantages.

Nice one John and look forward to the next shoot we do together.

Electric Nymph

This was a long awaiting shoot with John that I was looking forward to. John arrived in time and came well equipped with many different cameras. After tea and friendly conversation, we got round to shooting. John had some great ideas and had a variety of lenses with him to capture different effects. I would recommend him as a photographer and we managed to get some good pictures at the end of it!
