I had a fantastic shoot with Jimmy during my recent Scarlet Door studio day. Not only is he very easy to get on with and very creative, but hilarious too, keeping me talking and laughing throughout.

He brought a huge supply of amazing outfits and accessories to work with and while he had a wealth of ideas of his own, he was happy for me to improvise and contribute my ideas for hair and make-up too. We're already planning out next shoot and I look forward to working together again. Highly recommended!!

I loved my recent shoot with Jimmy ! he was funny, easy to get along with and made me feel totally comfortable. Jimmy arrived with loads of creative outfits and ideas! i love the images that were produced in our shoot and i would love to work with jimmy again. Highly recommended :)

very long overdue reference for the enigma whom is Jimmy Deas.

recommending him is easy, the as to why is a whole new level of written text.

Jimmy has probably spent more time at the studio than any other person ( I secretly think he has his own set of keys)

As already said Jimmy is an enigma, part photographer, part studio owner, part cyborg and part(ly) insane.

Not only a regular here but one of the studios best friends on a business and very much a personnel level. without a doubt there is never a dull moment from the time of arrival he projects madness, never short of the most outrageous ideas with a self maintained prop/costume collection that even the most eclectic photographer will be in awe off.

Sometimes things go wrong sometimes they don't but whichever of the 2 happen there will always be some amazing outcomes.

Just never (NEVER) feed him Jaffa cakes after midnight !!!!

I have one word for Jimmy AWESOME!!

What a guy! What a photographer, I absolutely loved working with Jimmy! We had such a laugh and the ideas this man has is brilliant! I was made to feel so relaxed through the whole of the shoot, you cannot ask for more from a photographer.

I thought I always brought a lot of clothes and accessories to a shoot but Jimmy is amazing he brought lots of things with him for me to use during the shoot and the props he brought were fantastic, Jimmy is a great photographer and knows his lighting very well and knows what makes a great image befor he's even taken the shot, there is a song we used during the shoot that will forever remind me of this haha and what good fun it was.

I cannot recommend him enough, if you ever get the chance to work with him you must, do not miss out on the Jimmy experience!

I will defiantly be back for more in the new year.

Jimmy is a whole new level of awesomeness!! From pre comms right through to the day and afterwards to it's just perfect, the amount of equipment and props this guy brings with him will blow your mind and your almost guaranteed to want to extend the shoot/shoot again very soon - I know I am mega keen to meet up again, the quality of images has really impressed me.. Editing skills are top notch, making it really hard to decide which images to post! The best thing about a shoot with Jimmy is him, he really allowed me to go for it so to speak in such an openly creative way, music and vibe all present and I just wish we'd shot the whole day, i know for a fact I wouldn't get bored!! :) thank you for an amazing shoot Jimmy, look forward to seeing you again this year :) Nix xx

I love working with Jimmy! Two weeks ago I had my 3rd shoot with him and also my first studio day at his amazing studio... Jimmy is a really good photographer, he is always very excited about trying something new and I love his ideas. It's always a pleasure to work together. He is friendly, talkative, well-organized and professional. I was really well looked after during the shoot, there was a lot of drinks and snacks at the studio and we had a delicious spaghetti for lunch. What's more, Jimmy was making sure that the heater is close to me all the time. Jimmy is really helpful, our studio day was really succesful thanks to him. He was advertising the event here and on facebook and during the shoots with other photographers he was always on hand to help them with lights or to show them some new tricks. I think all photographers were really happy with the images and I'm looking forward to organizing another studio day with Jimmy in April. I also want to say that he has a really amazing collection of outfits, props and shoes and his studio is really well equipped. I really enjoyed working together, Jimmy is highly recommended! :)

when i turned up on Jimmy's doorstep out of the blue, looking like a waif and stray, telling him i was a massive fan of his photography and wondering if by any chance, he could turn he into either a Hlooywood Goddess or an "iconic" FIne Art model, he must have thought WTF...but we were both smiling an awful lot when at the end of our shoot, we saw the unedited photos on his p.c. and lets just say it was one of those shoots that was "just meant to be". As luck would have it, his MUA /hair stylist had a yearning of filling her portfolio with Hollywood and "iconic" shots and in the dressing room she was shooting me like the paparazzi l.o.l.. JImmy's talent was all i imagined it would be and more. A really patient, kind lovely person whose positive attitude inspires creative confidence to all those around him.

Had the pleasure of working with Jimmy yesterday, he was the first gu on a studio day I did at Scarlet door and what a guy to start with! He was such good fun to shoot with, the time we spent together wasn't long enough, would of happily shot with him all day! Lots of ideas, very creative and real pleasure!!

Had the pleasure to work with Jimmy on several shoots. He got some amazing ideas and im always looking for new kind of photos to add to my portfolio. He's funny and super creative which is brilliant. Very easy going guy, he let model n makeup artist to put their ideas too if we have any, which is why it makes it easier to work with him. Before the shoot we were sending ideas back and forth so we both knew what we were trying to achieve. Throughout the day he gave me clear directions what he's looking for. We had a great day and a lot of fun together listening to music whilst shooting. I felt great working with him.

I would definitely recommend Jimmy and cant wait to do more shoots with him in the future.

Well ..... what can I say about the amazing Jimmy Deas .... Jimmy is soooooooo enthusiastic, funny and I immediately relaxed with him.

I approached Jimmy with a concept for a shoot and luckily he liked my ideas and managed to rope in the beautiful and super talented Joanna Stokes too.

Hes fabulous at discussing all the fine details previous to the shoot so we were well organised and shot for 2 days .... I thoroughly loved every second and cant wait to go back to shoot again.

If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to shoot with Jimmy ..... DO IT !!! :)

Just spent the day at Lyons Studio with Jimmy, Joanna Strange and Vanessa Vice! What a day :) Jimmy's studio is beautiful and he's so very welcoming. We shot so much cool stuff and I didn't want it to end. I could happily have gone on for hours. Jimmy is creative, great fun and whacky in a good way! :) We're already planning our next shoot too! Shooting with the wonderful Jimmy never gets old - it's a dream working with such a creative minded & lovely individual, who is a whizz with lighting and setting up epic scenes, a most fabulous host and he has a wicked way with the camera, with his funky & flattering camera angles!

Jimmy also has a vast collection of all sorts of shooty stuff - which will blow your mind! - and is deffo one of the best scene setters I've worked with, the genius ideas this fantastic photographer comes up with never ceases to amaze me :)

I can't recommend JD enough, what a guy!

this was my third shoot with Jimmy and every time it is awesome and amazingly every time he gets better. Great images created and a really good laugh, Jimmy is a professional and the sets are planned and shoots always flow smoothly. i just wish we can more time!
