Had yet another shoot for a personal project at JB Studios today.

Pre-comms were again spot on .

We utilised some of the outside areas today (concrete stairs and iron railings) as well as the 2 studio areas, one being a Natural Light studio with large windows (lighting is available in this room too, should they be required) and the other (that could be considered the main one) studio. In the main one we utilised some of the backgrounds that are on electronic controlled rollers.

Would I recommend... err YES !!!

Had a 2hr shoot, for a personal project at JB Studios, with Jen (Studio Owner) under her Photographer guise.

Pre-communication was spot on, so we both knew what was expected prior to arrival.

The Lighting and shooting areas are plentiful and adaptable to most needs, so there were no issues.

Would I recommend, hell yeah.

... I already have plans for another shoot 👍

This was my first ever studio shoot. Jen was absolutely brilliant. Jen immediately asked me if I needed help with the studio lights and demonstrated how to set them up. She was always on hand to help and advise. My initial aim was to use the natural light studio but with Jen's help and advice I spent the next three hours photographing in the main studio. I would definitely recommend the studio and will be returning soon. Thank you Jen

At JB Studios, the Beautiful Photographer Jen obviously also does her own Photography under the name of Jenjbphotography.

I booked in to be the Subject for one of her Christmas Shoots (normally this is booked by Parents etc, for beautiful and/or fun pictures of their children) but however this was booked for ME 🙈

... Many Laughs were had, but everything remained Professional.

Apologies, this reference is LONG overdue.

JB Studios has been my "go to" studio in Essex for about 3 years now. It has everything I need there in 2 different rooms, one of which is the most amazing natural light room. They run regular model days/evenings and also "Through the Lens" nights which have various themes and models at them, and which are great for socialising/networking and learning from others too. I am really happy to have found this place and recommend it to others without hesitation.

I love being around her, she is a ray of light. Authentic, real and bursting with positivity...even at late hours, after working all day.

You're in safe hands with this down to earth mother nurturer type soul.

I have worked at Jb Studios twice now both holding model days and this second one was just as fab as the first one. They are well ran, organised and put together! The studio is clean, well equipped, fab space and has a private changing room for the models.

You are made sure that you are safe and that safety is paramount, the photographers that attend are well looked after and there is assistance if needed.

I was there a long day and was always being asked if I was okay, warmer enough and had plenty to drink etc and lunch was provided too!

All the photographers that attended were lovely, professional, polite and respectful! Jb studios is a lovely studio and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there! The model days I have done have been a lot of fun, well organised and just a great day all round! I would wholeheartedly recommend this studio to both models and photographers! Absolutely fab and I hope I can come back soon!

What a treat it was to Model at JB Studios! I instantly felt relaxed and was pleasantly greeted and welcomed into the studio by the lovely owner Jen (Who I cannot praise enough!) :-)

Jen organises both model days and evenings, Great chance to work with new people and get acquainted with so many other photographers and models.

The studio itself is very diverse, You have the selection of different backdrops Tea and coffee facilities available! (Very Important for us Brits!) :-p

No hesitating. Send that e-mail and get booked in! You wont regret it :-)

I had my first fantastic studio day! The studio is so spacious and has some amazing sets, full of necessary equipment and lights. Also, Jen is an amazing host and super friendly. Throughout the day made sure I and all photographers were okay. Jen was there to help with lighting and equipment all day and was always happy to help.

I enjoyed my studio day and I hope to return at some point soon to do another one.

Over the last few years I have utilised JB Studios on many, many occasions

I feel relaxed working here and the creative side of my photography can really come through.

I take along all I need (plus much I don’t LOL) get myself in and just chill for the day with whoever I’m shooting with.

Then there is Jen Baker (Studio Owner) herself of course, who is simplly amazing. Has become a really trusting friend and colleague. Not only the studio owner but a respected professional photographer herself, who really takes her time to assist you and understands the feel your looking to achieve. Always available if you need her, but leaves you totally alone to create with no pressure or interference. Perfect! Jen organises both model days and evenings, as well as some fun and social evenings. Great chance to work with new people and get acquainted with so many other photographers and models alike.

The main studio with the infinity curve is such fun to use for both fashion and portrait shots. Turn around 180’ degrees, and then you have a selection of different coloured backdrops on and electrical roller system for those darker and low key images. Then of course theres the front studio, with so much natural light.

A great place to shoot especially later in the day when you have the golden hour moments and some lovely shadowing on the walls from the window frames to bring some simply wonderful natural effects to you your images.

Many options in the store room, with lots of props etc. to help enhance your shoot and get the feel you want on the day.

Tea and coffee facilities also available in the little kitchen should you need them.

Then there is the outside. Where you can shoot also, if you want some urban feels.

If you use your imagination here you can create some just amazing images.

I’ve shot Boudoir/Fashion/Maternity and Art Nude at this studio and have always been so pleased with the results on every occasion.

So stop hesitating. Send that email and get booked in!

Its a great place shoot one to one, or even to hold your own studio day, the rates are very reasonable for all the facilities available to you.

Very highly recommended indeed.

I have left references for Jen and her studio previously but Jen has excelled tonight! Elektra77 and I had a location shoot booked for tomorrow but the forecast is for temperatures up to 40°. That’s too hot for a location shoot! Long story short at about 9.30pm we asked Jen if we could book the studio instead and by 10pm the booking was made, plans were rethought and we’re ready to go! I know we will have a great shoot as ever and Jen says there are three fans to keep us cool! Well 5 fans now including Elektra77 and me. I always enjoy my time at the studio and tomorrow will be no exception!

I've shot at the studio many times now but for this particular occasion it was to be a part of a charity calendar shoot arranged by studio owner Jen.

It was a great evening and we made full use of the studio.

I always recommend this studio to photographers who may need one in the local area.

I had first fantastic shoot with Jen an her studio. We worked together with two other male models, on gym wear brand shoot. All communication before the shoot and during the shoot was amazing. Jen is very organized which made working with her easy, fast and fun :)

I had my first studio afternoon and evening at JB Studios and my goodness I can only but sing it’s praises. Right from the start organising it was done with simplicity and ease and was all sorted very quickly and efficiently.

On the actual day it was so well ran and organised, it ran so smoothly. All the photographers that attended knew how it worked and the organisation of it to ensure it ran smoothly was amazing. The studio is warm, clean and a fantastic space to shoot, the model has a good changing room and I was even fed pizza for dinner which was lovely!

I felt very comfortable, relaxed and well cared for it was very apparent that the models well being and safety was at the top of the priority list. The time literally flew by and I had a bloody amazing time! All the photographers that attended were absolutely lovely and the overall experience was brilliant! If you get a chance to do a studio day/evening there don’t hesitate! I really do hope I can return again soon!
