I had the pleasure of shooting with James for the first time yesterday during a Remote duo shoot with Angel Black.

From the beginning to the end of the shoot James was professional, easy to communicate with and outgoing. I was particularly grateful for James being so open to ideas and concepts that myself and Angel came up with.

I really enjoyed my time shooting with James and I would highly recommend working with him if you get the opportunity. I hope to shoot again soon..!

I had a lovely creative remote shoot with James recently. I absolutely loved working with him. Communication was fantastic. I knew exactly what items I needed to get out and planned the shoot around those ideas. I am a person who likes to plan, so it is always great when photographers send across moodboards and this helps me plan what will work for the shoot. James had some really great ideas and I couldn’t wait to explore these.

James was friendly, chatty and knew what he was doing with the software. We worked well as a team to create some really great images. I always love the chance to be quirky and do different styles. It’s great when a photographer lets you embrace your natural quirkyness. I love the images and hope we get the chance to be creative again soon.

We had many shoots together in the last years, and all of them were very different.

We had a remote and a “normal” shoot together this year, and we also met at some workshops. Every time, it was a pleasure to work with him.

He has a lot of ideas for the shoots, he regularly creates a mood board for the session and I can take advantage of them so we can always create something new together.

He was very cooperative on the remote shoot, he sent me the lights and background requests some days before the shoots.

He booked a fantastic a make-up artist for the normal shoot, and this made the results even more exciting. He used the available light/location possibilities very well.

He is the person I always love to work with.

Hurrayyyyy for James!!! He’s literally the nicest person on the planet for one thing... But not only that: he absolutely transforms a day on tour by taking up last minute availability, yet never actually setting foot in the room on the day of the shoot. This guy is soooo awesome that he can be across the ocean in another country whilst you connect up to work together remotely - and the vibe is still taking the roof off the premises. 😆👌

James and I worked together for only the second time on my recent tour of Northamptonshire: I was able to make use of the fantastic venue that is Natural Light Spaces, only shooting remotely! This gave me the chance to reach others far and wide (like James over in Belgium) who still have the EPIC creative skills to see and capture an image, but just live as locally handy to work at a specific place very often. Especially in a pandemic! This was literally a case of: me in my hotel room the day before - quick shout out after failed castings and James literally came to the rescue with this lifting proposal to rock it for half a day utilising both the natural light, and the studio areas of NLS. And you know what - that was one hell of a remote shoot; complete and utter quality in the form of pictures! James got totally in the flow of offering direction/being aware of camera positions/angles to maximise the aesthetic impact of each set and even equipment choices. You would look at the work we did and just assume he popped over to Northants for the day. 😛 We had sweltering sun on one of the hottest days of the year - he bossed those rays balancing everything beautifully in both harsh conditions/plus softer backlight with lots of negative space. Onto the curve with controlled lighting and we discussed/introduced different fashion items to quirk things up a notch. Again - MEGA! James was able to spot things that caught his eye in a millisecond, but also allowed me to flow and get into my repertoire expressing with the look in question. This guy is such a passionate photographer - I just don’t have the words! I really felt that he put his stamp on the shoot entirely with the remote way of working, and I cannot wait to share more of the images he so kindly shared with me after processing. They’re bloody insane - for all the right reasons! 😉

James was his same lovely self - simply a joy to chat with (as he was the first time we worked together). Really chilled out and patient/appreciative when I was doing both the moving of the set/equipment plus outfit changes at the same time, even though it might feel a bit slower for the photographer during these points when shooting remotely. He is professional to the core, decent in every way and I can absolutely vouch for him being a very credible person to work with based on shooting with him both in-person and then the “virtual” way more recently. I cannot recommend him enough to be honest. 🙂 His comms were fantastic; despite everything being a bit crazy last minute haha. He’s just a star from all corners!

Phenomenal first shoot with James!!!! Simply 5 star! :D We has been speaking before about shooting when I’d made previous visits to Belgium (we just got unlucky with dates) but then we kept in contact and a positive plan began to unravel for a day during my latest mega-tour of Europe. Words cannot express how happy I am to have been able to shoot with this super cool creative during my ambitions international adventure. It’s shoots like these that makes the hours of planning, endless travelling and dragging a broken suitcase around fully worth it. :P

Morning of the shoot: James very kindly picked me up from my Airbnb accommodation where I’d stayed the evening before. Given the fun I had getting there the night before I’m so grateful of this as James knew the place we were going to well and helped me lug my ridiculous suitcase up to the venue/dodging puddles on the way... A good egg in my mind before we’d even taken any pictures. :) Then there was the awe of the simply GORGEOUS pad that James had arranged for us. This guy has BLOOMIN GOOD TASTE and evidently a terrific eye for what’s going to make a good shot. :D I mean this place was plushhhhh; we were blessed with natural light, class decor and furniture, lots of space. We were spoilt for sure - and full credit goes to James for sorting all this out!

My raving ramble doesn’t stop there: once the shooty magic commenced, we gelled from the first second and OH MY LORD! The pictures! The sheer brilliance of the pictures! From sassy lifestyle to sophisticated glam... To absolutely stark-raving-looney-barbie-in-the-bath. LOL! :P the versatility was just oozing out of a tremendous rapport that we rolled with and I can wholeheartedly confirm that this gent knows how to take a cracking picture. He had a whole host of ideas for good places and corners to shoot; but at the same time was so welcoming of my input with things like styling. He bossed the light, bossed the composition and just rattled one killer photograph off after another! Definitely a highly productive and creative highlight of my whole trip. :D

James himself is the epitome of a model human. He’s just such a genuine and nice person: easy to get on with, would help anyone out at any hour of need and a good sense of humour/really sociable too. :) As a photographer - 1 million percent professional in his approach! Respects the model in every sense and strives very hard to guarantee a safe and amicable working environment with all the right vibes and confidence. I honestly cannot bellow it loud enough just how highly I recommend him to other models. :)

So with all that said: of course I’d be absolutely BUZZING to get the chance to work with James again. :D

James is LOVELY! An absolute Gem! Such a lovely down to earth guy.He really looks after his models and wants thdm to feel at ease.We had a terrific first shoot and captured so many amazing pics. Plenty of good chat before we knew it thw shoot was over.He makes his shoots fun, relaxed and enjoyable which is how shoots should be.A terrific tog with an amazing eye for photography. I spent three very sunny days at the end of 2019 shooting with Mr Box in the Algarve...and what a way to end 2019 it was!!

Three fun, creative, warm, relaxed and productive days- shooting a huge array of genres and styles!

James even bought some Belgian chocolates and wine with him- I mean, WINNING!!

I really enjoyed the three days we had to shoot on a 1-2-1 Artemisian mini trip. We pretty much chatted all day, took hundreds of amazing images and enjoyed the social times in the evenings too. It was superb.

I really hope I can get to work with James again- abroad or UK/ Europe. It was a pleasure to work with him.
