James and I are really beginning to understand each other on a whole different level after our (fifth?!) remote shoot together! This was yet another duo for us this time with Jemma H and as with before his pre shoot communications are second to none, they are super informative and he provides all of the necessary information ahead of time, including items he wants to use. On top of this, his photography skill is fantastic, and he's clearly an accomplished photographer, happily adjusting the settings as we went through the shoot, even when he was battling direct sunlight!

It's always a pleasure to work with James and I know with his ability superb images will be captured. Conversation flows so easily between us now, and he got along really well with Jemma as well, showing his versatility and adaptation ability.

I would absolutely recommend him 1000%! Thankyou for another fab shoot!

I had the absolute pleasure of working with James, remotely at a duo home shoot day with Angel Black. James was so lovely, and was good at communicating what ideas he had and what he wanted to shoot. The three of us got on well and bounced ideas around. From what I saw, there were some stunning images! Can’t wait to see the outcomes, and would highly recommend:)

So many beautiful images from my shoot with James at my event in Poland! We squeezed in a quick 1 h shoot and I think we got some of our best pics then! I love working with James, he truly is a pleasure to work with, even remotely! We haven't yet had the pleasure of working together in person, but the remote shoots we've completed have been epic - including our recent which was a remote duo with Ashley Ashton. His pre shoot communications were fantastic, well thought out and well planned, then well executed.

He arrived on time to our agreed meeting time and was happy to listen to our advice regarding natural light etc and used that to choose the first room appropriately. His eye to detail is fantastic and he was happy to adapt throughout.

He was a joy to work with (as usual!) and I absolutely recommend him to other creatives.

Tink Kaos

The highlight of the Belgian tour was meeting and creating with this absolutely lovely fellow - not only immensely creative, but immensely respectful, relaxed, thoughtful and great company!

We shot for the day on one of the hottest days this Belgian summer, starting off at the cute wee apartment I’d booked, doing a mix of fashion, lingerie and quirky nude portraits, lunched, then headed off to an amazing studio location - I think we could have shot for three days there and not covered every potential image! The images are INCREDIBLE, still blown away by how brilliant the shoot was.

James is a lovely soul, great with communications, chatty, very model safety aware, artistic, fun to be around - would highly recommend to all models.

Happy 100th reference!

I had a lovely shoot with James last weekend at an old fort in Belgium. We shot both outside and indoors and I think we got a good variety of different styles. James was lovely to work with, really chatty and friendly and the time flew. He had a great balance between letting me pose myself and offering direction when he wanted something specific. I would highly recommend working with him and I hope to again at some point in the future.

I once again had the pleasure of working with James. His pre shoot communications are excellent, well thought out and then well executed. We shot remotely, on location and James was incredibly patient- he was very understanding of the limitations, such as signal dropping in and out and he was happy to adjust when necessary.

He was polite and professional, and conversation easily flowed between us. His eye to detail is amazing, as he chose the locations carefully from me panning the camera around. The back of laptop images looked fantastic and I can't wait to see the edited images!

As always, it was a pleasure and I totally enjoyed working with him - I would 1000% recommend him to others.

Monika Lara Smith

I had my first shoot with James when he booked me and Aurora Phoenix as a duo at stunning Loft Van Volxem and then we had a few hours of a solo shoot at my hired apartment in Brussels and oh wow - I am already looking forward to our next shoot!

James is such a sweet & lovely person!! :) He is so kind, polite, interesting to talk to and soooo relaxed and easy-going. Working with James is a real pleasure due to his friendly approach and personality.

I must say that I really appreciated that James hired Loft Van Volxem to shoot me and Aurora together as well as booked a few hours at my apartment afterwards - it was 5 hours all together, so I admire James for risking 5 hours of his precious time to put up with me... :D Poor James, he's probably still recovering from it.

James is such a talented photographer, with a creative mind and he's very open-minded at the same time which makes working together really enjoyable and easy!

We created SO SO many beautiful pictures, exploring different ideas, concepts, trying out different outfits and our results were absolutely impressive.. James was so kind to share our results with me & Aurora which I am so grateful for (thank you!!).

Had such an amazing Duo Shoot with James Box at Loft Van Volxem with Monika Lara Smith during our Tour abroad together in Brussels, Belgium.

I’ve shot with James a few times before in the past once in Belgium years ago and a few times in London. I was so excited to shoot with this lovely photographer again and to introduce him to my fellow duo partner and friend Monika.

Prior to shooting James was excellent at communication as always. We chatted through logistics on Instagram and everything was so easy to set up and organize.

When we walked into the location me and Monika were gobsmacked and we were blown away. It was huge and a bloody incredible natural light paradise. There was a lovely wooden swing, beautiful plants,, such lovely glass and reflective wooden floors.

We really utilized the space during the shoot and it was like a dream. We shot a variety of fashion, lingerie and implied nude for me and art nude for Monika. James was just so creative and was really helpful with poses and helping to make things work as a duo. James has shot so many duos in the past so is really experienced in this area.

It was also James birthday during the shoot day and it was just so lovely that he decided to spend the day shooting with me and Monika. We were so touched.

Thank-you so much for such an incredible day James and I’d love to shoot with you next time I’m in Belgium and I will be back for sure.

James is firstly a super human being :), and then he's a great photographer, and thirdly a great customer of my studio. He has been more times than I can count, and is always super considerate and respectful for the model. His comms are always great, and when he commits to a shoot, he is good to his word. He is super creative and allows me to throw some (sometimes) crazy ideas into the ring for the shoot. He is calm and considered and a pleasure to work with in the studio. James is a legend! Feels like I've shot with him soooooo many times (which I guess we have) as we have done quite a few remote shoots now. 😃 It's been a fabulous way to just "nip across to Belgium" when a creative opportunity arises, though he's such a cool guy in-person too so I do really look forward to when we can shoot in-the-flesh again. In the meantime - I have been tormenting him with crazy bespoke studio themes by means of tethered shooting at my studio. 😜

This particular reference shout is for a shoot we did way earlier in the year actually... (I've just been mightily disorganised with admin following a few crazy things happening this year and getting behind got a bit out of hand! 🙈 But my goodness was it a great shoot - with James sat comfortably at home in Belgium, and me here hosting things from my studio in Yorkshire, we made awesomeness happen with a mad Valentines theme, standard "mad Keira" fash-lingerie themes and simple artiness too! 😁 The shoot was set up around a specific seasonal/time of year theme as it seemed I have got quite the itch for since Christmas 2021... 🤣 So why the heck not chuck a few hearts up and make a fun bespoke studio set for Valentines week. 😄 The images James and I got on this shoot were simply just ace - I was chuffed to bits to have him bandwagon because he really got into the creative spirit and was giving the go-ahead for fancy makeup/crazy use of angles and lenses. James threw himself right into this shoot, and it was not only the Valentines theme that we knocked out of the park either - the most out-there mix of garments (suggested by James) in the natural light/white wall area. Bloomin' genius! I could talk about this shoot all day, it was such a prolific 4 hours from start to finish. And a perfect example of a photographer seizing the opportunity with remote resources to put their own stamp on the images. 🌟 James kindly shared the final processed shots with me after the shoot, and crikey... I mean they looked superb straight outta camera with the care taken in composition and lighting, but the finished products -wowzerrrr!

Take it from me that this is a photographer with whom you would enjoy working with time and time again. 👍 He shows the highest levels of courtesy, respects models/their levels and everything very highly, has a very sweet and easy to get on with character... And he's a great laugh too! 😃 So not only is a model working with someone who they feel totally at ease with, but you can just have a great crack whilst on that shoot which lifts the vibe to the next level. It's this which makes working so fun! The fabulous opportunities to strike good teamwork flow and like-minded rapports - and that's why we do what we do in this game after all. 🙂

Everything was super in terms of pre-shoot communications as well - even though my whole Valentines week was a bit impromptu with the setting up and design time that I possibly underestimated a little. 😅 James was a star in getting our shoot planned in a matter of a few quick messages - no fuss, straight to it and perfect organisation (even though my middle name is organised chaos! 😭) I am so grateful for how much of a breath of fresh air he is to deal with, it makes things so smooth and just easier at my end when you've got a photographer with James' nice and easy/to-the-point planning approach. Thank you so much for this alone dude!!!

So yeah - James is basically up there with the besssssst of people - highly recommended as a human/photographer and a great creative mind!

Thank you endlessly for bandwagoning James! Twas' a splendid shoot and next time... Well you'll be getting another reference for the next hope in hopefully not too long. 😆

Omg I finally got to work with James again :)

We planned a shoot before covid hit us last year and unfortunately we had to postpone our shoot. James contacted me whilst he was visiting London and we managed to line up a last minute shoot whilst he was in town and OMG I’m so glad he did.

James is such a lovely person, great chat and very relaxed.

It was so nice catching up and obviously creating together again.

From the pre shoot communications through to the actual shoot, he was very easy to communicate with and set his ideas out in a clear and easy to understand way, as well as providing set ideas for the shoot. He was very organised and gave us a good idea of outfits prior to the shoot, which is always helpful for a travelling model!

During the shoot itself, James was friendly and professional as well as being very approachable! He was keen to listen to ideas and was happy to experiment with any we had! The back of the camera images looked fab and I'm excited to see some of the results.
