Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Darren came to Basford Hurst Cottage to run one of his Secretcon photography workshops.

Pre comms with Darren were great, he made organising a larger event extremely easy!!

He arrived on time with everyone else who was involved in the event and after a quick tour around they all got to work.

Darren is a complete professional and worked extremely hard all day to make sure the event ran smoothly. He is clearly a very experienced photographer with a real passion for Cosplay.

I would highly recommend Darren and would love to see him again at Basford soon!!

Darren is great fun to be around, super relaxed and has a brilliant eye for capturing even the mundane and bringing it to life. The colouring and lights from both camera capture and editing are simply stunning. Definitely recommend

Shooting with Darren was a brilliant experience for me. The entire shoot felt completely fluid and every single idea seemed to work. Darren's direction was absolutely on point and yet he still left Nico and myself the freedom to express our own ideas freely which was awesome. Shot with Darren this Saturday at The BoardRoom on a duo shoot with Benjamin D, our shoot was about 2 different sets, first was a high fashion Vogue style, second was contemporary to ballet style.

Dareen shot both of these beautifully, capturing incredible jumps and leaps with great timing, and also creating magazine-worthy editorial shots.

He got images done super fast which was lovely!

I would highly recommend.

Just had a lovely shoot with Darren. He had great pre-comms and was very kind in coming to pick me up. He was happy to do pretty much any of my ideas I had, but we both settled on doing a fantasy shoot, which I really enjoyed. He chose a great location and I think we got some really cool pics. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the edits! Would highly recommend.

Great to have Darren shooting here for his first time and teaming up with Marcus (F/22 Photography).

Everything seemed to go well and I found both photographers down to earth and easy to get along with. Had great rapport with their models, Lorran Rainey with whom they have both worked with previously and a model working on her first proper shoot, Jennifer Byrne.

Ivy Rose Gehenna

Did a latex shoot with Darren for Dazzled Designs Latex. We shot some cosplay, lingerie and a dress too. This was my third shoot with Darren and once again he was absolutely brilliant to work with. The pre-comms were excellent as always and on the day he came to London very prepared and organised for the shoot with awesome ideas. It wasn't the best weather to shoot cosplay outdoors but somehow he still made the images look stunning! We didn't have a lot of time but Darren is so productive, we managed to do everything we'd planned.

He's a genuinely lovely, respectful, talented guy who always gives his best. I'm always happy with results, and always relaxed on set. Would definitely recommend working with Darren :)

Fabulous cosplay shoot, very professional and when the first location failed he was straight in with a new idea to save the day.

Shoot ended up even better than originally expected and can’t wait to see the images.

Did a second duo shoot with Monsieur E and Darren. This time, we did a cosplay shoot and what can I say - Darren really seems to know how to shoot cosplay!

Darren is such a star, he's always fully prepared with lots of ideas. He really knows how to get the best angles and lighting, making all images look awesome and work well.

Same as before, he was a really nice person to work with, super relaxed, easy going and of course really talented.

Definitely recommend and hope to work again soon :)

Had the pleasure to meet Darren for the first time yesterday for a duo shoot with Monsieur E.

Darren's pre-comms were excellent, he was punctual, well organised and super friendly. He's really great to work with because he's always buzzing with ideas for photos, using natural light to create all kinds of different images. We shot a mixture of things and Darren was always able to execute them perfectly. The images he showed us from the back of the camera looked stunning, what a talented guy!

He's also a lovely person, too. Lots of laughs and chats. Made me feel really comfortable around him, and I hope I get to work with Darren again :)

Darren is very clued up and experienced photographer in the cosplay world so it was good talking to him and getting to know more!

Darren is one of my favourite photographers to work with, his brilliant use of space and light combined with his camera skills means that most of his shots out the back of the camera look finished! Has a great turn around time on delivering photos back as well.

I had my first shoot with Darren today and it was so much fun! An amazing studio to work in, with so much potential for so many shoot ideas!

He was friendly and welcomed all ideas that we had, very relaxed and laid back but knows what he wants from the model.

I would 100% recommend him to other models and would love to work with him again. Such great work, thanks again for today!

Darren recently applied to one of my castings. We agreed a vague concept/theme and had the help of a designer. I didn't see any of the back of camera shots but I've always admired Darrens work so really look forward to the results.

The studio was HUGE and so much gorgeous natural light.

Darren himself was very professional. I instantly felt comfortable working with him and found the time pass quite quickly. Good company, fantastic photographer, and fabulous studio. I'd happily work with Darren again and would recommend him to any model.

I had a wonderful first shoot with Darren today at his fantastic studio. Despite only shooting two hours, We packed a lot into the short time and got some cracking images. Darren and I arranged a quick little shoot at his studio in Burton. He very kindly picked me up and dropped me off, which gave us some time to get acquainted. We had a bit of a bumpy first shoot thanks to the weather, but I think we pulled through with a couple of good shots... Can't wait to see the edits and looking forward to working with Darren again.
