Ian Standivan

I am a keen amateur photographer based in Sussex. In the past I have focused on animal and landscape photography, I would like to focus on fashion or portrait work but can be fairly flexible as to what I shoot as my portfolio is still very much a work in progress. At the moment I can shoot at my home and also know of a few public outdoor locations that can be used, plus the ever reliable beach.

Over the years I have done a large amount of photography of the animals at Drusillas zoo park in Sussex, also lots of landscapes in and around the weald of Sussex. When I started with people photography I focused on fitness shots for several fitness/health groups in the Hastings and Bexhill area, many have been used to promote these groups on their websites, as well as their Facebook and twitter accounts, but now I have built up a fair amount of experience with both professional and amateur models.

I am keen to expand my portfolio and am interested in many different styles, so if there's anything you want to try and think I can help then please feel free to get in contact so we can discuss your ideas.

As stated I am an amateur, this means I have a full time job, so any shoots either require me to book a holiday day or use my day off, please bear this in mind when arranging a date for a shoot as a cancellation or no show is a real waste of a day for me and may lead to me leaving a negative reference.

A few notes about shoots....

Firstly I mainly work TF, I state this because if you contact me I will assume that you like my work and wish to work with me and this will be the premise for any response to messages.

I do offer a few paid assignments each year, but these are to build or add to my portfolio or will be for specific projects, in that case I will either contact someone who I feel fits the role directly or place a casting call.
