What a wonderful soul Ian is!

Before we met he was excellent with communication, as we had a fair bit of ‘tennis’ getting a date that suited us both in the diary. We talked a lot about the theme we were using as inspiration and what we wanted to achieve which was very fun! He made the whole experience really lighthearted.

Upon arrival we chatted over a cup of tea and got to know one another a bit more, which was lovely as Ian is very personable and genuine.

We made the trek to the wonderful Southport on a cool but bright day and shot some truly gorgeous images under one of the docks.

All day Ian was very friendly, kind and considerate towards me - since I was trotting around in swimwear this is always appreciated! He is a very creative person who’s open to ideas from the model, and above all else he’s got a great eye!

I’d highly recommend Ian and would be very glad to work with him again… It’s not “goodbye” it’s “goodnight”!

Loved working with Ian on a last minute shoot around my hometown the other day! Ian made the trip down to Essex and we met up had a cup of coffee and I felt very quickly at ease in his company, I feel like we are very much on the same wavelength!

Although it was a rainy day we both braved it through and took cover under the carpark shooting some cool editorial fashion vibe images, Ian’s style is very natural vibe black and white - which I love!

Altogether I had a wonderful photoshoot with Ian and I would highly recommend him to all!

My first shoot with Ian went really well. He's easy to work with, kind, considerate (made sure I was okay with the shots the entire time) and funny. He even let me go through the shots post-shoot to pick out my favourites. Plus, he has a great laugh (sounds like Jimmy Carr). 😂 Highly recommended. Thanks Ian.

This was my second shoot with lovely Ian. Ian traveled a long way to come and shoot with me at my home location (6 hours of driving!!) which I really appreciate as I love working with Ian and I always know the photos will be amazing!

Although the weather was terrible and we didn’t have the best lighting. We came away with a beautiful set of images that I absolutely adore.

I always have so much fun on shoot with Ian. We talked non-stop and time went so quickly - can’t wait for our next shoot together!

I had my first shoot with Ian at Chichester Marina, we did 5 hours of shooting and the time flew by.

You couldn't ask for a more lovely and genuine guy than Ian, he is really friendly and made me feel at ease right from the minute we met!

The photos on the back of the camera looked great and I can’t wait to see the results!

I'd be delighted to work with Ian again and would happily recommend him to others.☺️

Before the shoot, Ians communication was spot on, and efficient. We decided on a time, place etc and discussed the style he was going for.

This was very useful when it came to shooting as we worked very well together. While he gave me suggestions, he also let me lead the way and always showed me the photos after, asking for feedback.

Ian was friendly and chatty throughout, keeping it professional yet also laid back and more comfortable for my mum and I.

Would 100% recommend Ian. The pictures came out incredible!!

I had a fantastic shoot with Ian yesterday. After really good pre-comms I expected Ian to be super professional and very easy going. And, what to say: He even surpassed that! He showed up very punctual and dealt so well with an unforeseen small parking problem at my place.

We concentrated mainly on portraits at my flat and continued with some more portraits and fashion shots in Canary Wharf. Ian knows exactly which style he wants to go for, but always leaves room to create more and different shots from there. Ian is not only a talented photographer but also has a wonderful personality: I think I can count the seconds of our shoot he did not have a smile on his face.

After our shooting I looked through all the pictures on the camera; I am more than happy with the outcome I saw so far. I apologise in advance for selecting so many - he just did a too good job :-P

shooting with ian was a really great experience ! he made me feel safe and comfortable from the get go. Ian was very easy to talk to and made the whole experience incredibly enjoyable. We got some amazing images at locations all over the city ! He never complained about me dragging him all over the city haha. Ian is an incredible photographer and has a talented eye for shots and angles. Overall I had the best time and I can’t wait to shoot with Ian again !

After being given such a glowing reference about Ian from Mon, I was already looking forward to shooting with Ian. And, unsurprisingly, Ian was such a lovely photographer to shoot with - we travelled around Birmingham for the afternoon, looking for cool textures and scenery to pose against. He had some great ideas of his own while also being open to my suggestions. Afterwards we had sat in a cafe and chatted while I went through the camera to pick my favourites. There were so many cool shots! Definitely would like to work with Ian again :)

Shooting with Ian was an absolute delight! Precoms were excellent, and he arrived on time at the planned location. We first sat down and had a coffee and a lovely chat and got to know each other abit, which I always appreciate as it builds more comfortability for both creatives involved. We then walked around and made magic, I also was shooting some BTS content which he did not mind at all, thanks for that Ian! Not only did Ian and I have a laugh while we were shooting together, but we also had some deep conversations, which led to me wanting to keep talking with him after, however I had to prepare for my holiday which I recently just got back from. I've also had the chance to see some of the images we produced together via Instagram and they are amazing! A real talent for what you do Ian well done! Overall a great experience, and would defo work with Ian again :) I highly recommend!

Ian is one of those rare souls that is completely genuine, and loves photography for the art... and the cake stops of course!

As always, a great shoot with Ian. I find myself feeling incredibly lucky to have this man as a regular photographer, as well as one of my closest friends! Looking forward to the next one. And the one after that. And the one after that!

I recently had my 2nd shoot with Ian and just like the first time, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. We stopped off for some cake before we started our shoot which Ian very kindly treated me to. We used my local town for the shoot and we got some awesome shots using my fathers Land Rover. We always have a great chit chat when we shoot together which makes everything feel very relaxed! I absolutely love the way Ian works, he is a very professional photographer and a lovely guy!

Fretters

This was my second shoot with Ian and yet again he did not disappoint. We used the natural light that Aura studio provides, using their big windows and various other props we could find. Yet another very enjoyable and relaxed style of shoot with great results!

Ian is very professional whilst we are shooting, always making sure I am comfortable with what we are doing, making me feel at ease in his presence. Afterwards, he even bought me a coffee at the local pub and we had a nice chit chat. He is very easy to get along with and would not hesitate to work with again.

Ian kindly booked on to my nightclub themed event last weekend, and we had a blast as always!

Ian was very clear in what he wanted to get out of the shoot and the kind of mood he was looking to portray which made the shoot a complete breeze. Ian gives lots of feedback during shoots and is always very informative, letting you know exactly what he is wanting in terms of posing etc and showing images throughout - it is nice to be kept in the loop! :)

I like how Ian really threw himself into the shoot, despite being used to outdoor environments; rather different from a dark and dingy nightclub! Ian has his own unique style which really shines through in the images he captured. He was his usual energetic self as we made our way around the club making use of the many different areas and features.

It is always a pleasure to work with Ian. I am really excited to see more of the results from the shoot.

I was absolutely delighted to work with Ian recently! We met in a coffee shop in Milton Keynes and scouted the area for locations, just shooting where we thought worked (even if it was a little chilly!). He certainly knows his way around natural light and I love the images from what I've seen so far!!

Ian was genuinely such wonderful company to be around, we could have just chatted for ages! He is respectful, professional and has a good sense of humor making me feel very comfortable and at ease right from the beginning. He even went to the trouble and bought me a hot chocolate halfway through our shoot :)

I whole heartedly wouldn't hesitate working with Ian. A true gentleman with a heart of gold, who has a clear passion for photography. His images just speak for themselves. I look forward to our next one!

It's always lovely working with Ian, his personality and and sense of humour shines through in everything that he does. He booked me for a shoot, however he wasn't feeling completely up to shooting at the time, which was fine! He still turned up and paid and instead we had a merry ol' time in historic Windsor. Ian is a joy to be around, whether it's whilst shooting or just having a hot chocolate and a natter.

We have already booked to work together again, and for some strange reason I feel that it wont be the last time ;)

I worked with Ian for the first time yesterday and had such a lovely shoot! Ian had very kindly booked me at one of my favourite ruins in the beautiful village of Tintern!

I am always a little nervous on a first shoot with someone I haven't worked with prior, especially working on location but with Ian I needn't have been! He was so professional, very respectful and a gentleman to work with.

We soon found out that we had much in common and really intriguing conversation ensued with great company! The weather was perfect for October, such a beautiful day (if a little cold!) and we were very fortunate to achieve some beautiful art nudes in the landscape before visitors interrupted!

Ian takes beautiful photos, gives great direction and was thoroughly lovely to work with. I am also a MASSIVE fan of mono and film noir and I loved the images! I felt safe and happy throughout and can highly recommend him to other models and creatives here. Thankyou so much Ian for a lovely day and I really do hope we get the chance to work together again, Helen x

I really enjoyed shooting with Ian recently during a lovely sunny afternoon on the Gloucester and Sharpness canalpath :)

Ian and I have shot together a few times before during rather dark and gloomy days, so it was a very pleasant change to be able to work with him in brighter conditions!

Ian is an absolute delight to work with; he is chatty, fun and has a great sense of humour. He has a wonderful energy about him too which is quite contagious and makes the experience especially fun...the time passed incredibly quickly!

I love that Ian brought out a side of me that some could say I don't portray often enough in my images. Instead of the usually quite serious 'model face' and expressions that I typically use, we applied a much more lighthearted approach. My posing involved lots of smiles and silly expressions, and the images on BOC had a sort of carefree and nonchalant vibe which I absolutely adore!

Ian has a preference for the more natural look and sometimes that can make you feel a bit vulnerable, but it was good for me to 'shoot as I am' as I normally shoot with a full face of makeup. I felt comfortable and confident during the shoot, and I think Ian helped to bring that out of me. His images usually bring out a different side to a model and it is always so refreshing to see.

Ian is a very gifted photographer and I consider him to be a good friend of mine. He is a really lovely person and I 100% recommend him to other models.

So - firstly a huge apology to the wonderful Ian for leaving him without a reference for so long, I was so exited about leaving him one as I genuinely had one of my most enjoyable shoots from PurplePort with this absolutely lovely person so here goes!

Ian is one of those people who you can just tell from the moment you get talking, that he is just pure kindness. A true gentleman, so respectful and caring of my boundaries and comfort, and we got on straight away like a house on fire and ended up talking more than shooting - sorry Ian!🤣

Despite my blabbermouth, Ian somehow managed to take a LOT of really stunning photos, as you can see from his portfolio he is incredibly talented and makes photography look completely effortless and natural. He also made me feel so at ease so of course posing etc didn’t even seem like work.

Endless talent and passion for the art, one of the kindest people I’ve met in a long time, with a wonderful sense of humour. What more can I say!

Please, please shoot with Ian if you get the chance - he’s AWEsome! Very highly recommended indeed and come back soon Ian, you are welcome any time!
