I enjoyed my third 1-1 shoot with Iain, socially distanced in my garden doing a couple of different fabulous styles we discussed in communications leading up to our shoot. We enjoyed a very lovely sunny afternoon with excellent results.

Iain arrived on time, full of energy to get creative and and as before his communications leading up to our shoot were spot on and he is great at giving direction where needed during shooting. Showing me the results on the back of the camera giving me a good idea of what we are achieving really helps get even better images.

Professional, friendly, a gentleman and very respectful. Always making sure you are comfortable and happy Iain is always looking out for your safety.

Our shoot absolutely flew by and we captured a wonderful mixture of looks.

Again a pleasure to work with such a lovely person and a fab photographer.

Highly recommended, do not miss out on a shoot with Iain.

Looking forward to our next session.

Aurora :)

My latest shoot with Iain - remotely... Only I'm genuinely losing track of how many we have done; but each one has been EPIC! I know that much! :P

Yet again - we managed to do something totally different to before. The first time Iain and I shot remotely, we did a little set in my studio space before I had kitted it out with some new backgrounds. So this time: Iain and I had been chatting about using the new sets to work on some conceptual styles/looks. And that we did! :D From a mystic-looking boho theme against a wood effect, to a cute n' colourful retro look on polka dots... Finishing up with some classic art nude against the black. STUPENDOUS! It was the polar opposite to what we had done on our past/most recent shoots which involved incorporating the environment of my home/the surroundings a lot of the time. This shoot was mostly about the light and styling - alas Iain did what he always does and threw himself straight in there! :D He was a star with spotting fine details with the framing/my position (I was posing on a little platform to start with, then shooting much tighter in for the retro theme or 3/4's for the nudes) and as we reviewed the sets Iain gave significant input on shots that we loved but could tweak here or there. Even as I pose he gives wonderfully encouraging feedback - which is always nice for a model to receive; whether you're working together remotely or in-person. :) The connection and positive bounce between model and photographer on a shoot is so important. I think we have it off to a tee now mind, and Iain is totally rocking and rolling fine style with his remotes! :D

I had come away from the shoot we did before this one thinking: "Yass... We can't possibly better that?!" But our latest shoot - in all honesty, is right up there with it! :P It was the way we really managed to bring out character and/or artistic value in the shots - Iain caught those best moments totally crisp, and even straight out of the camera they looked insane and really popped! :D It's left us thinking: "sheesh... we definitely can't get close to topping that now!" But mind you - watch this space very carefully because we're already on it like a car bonnet arranging the next shoot with yet another wicked concept to keep us occupied. I cannot stress how rewarding it is when you have a rapport that just keeps on delivering epic results - this time last year, I hadn't even met Iain yet... But since then we have come such a long way in getting creatively connected and working so well together. That said: he makes it a breeze as he's a truly enthusiastic and delightful photographer to work with. :)

All the usual amounts of chinwagging happened as standard of course too haha! :D We can't possibly call it a shoot without it. You can see from Iain's other references too that he's a total dream to get on with; a really nice guy with a good heart... All the professionalism you could hope for, and a good head on his shoulders. I would recommend to literally anyone 10 times over! You just need to take a look at the other references I have left Iain really because I'm basically giving him the very same compliments each time, over a brand new set of killer shots! :P

Thank you so much Iain - we did it again!!! Until next time you legend!

Iain and I have worked together a few times now, albeit via remote shooting means, however, each and every shoot has been fantastic. He really takes his time during pre shoot communications, making sure to cover every area, which really makes my job so much easier, so I really appreciate it!

Iain is great fun to work with and we always capture amazing images - I definitely couldn't recommend him more!

Thankyou for taking part in a remote shoot with me!

So I’m really starting to lose track of how many times I’ve shot with Iain at this point! :P We’ve really teamed up and hammered the remote front: creating magnificent images in the biggest array of settings/looks and lighting setups. This shoot was so different and produced yet another batch of creatively inspired and innovative pictures - which you would have never have guessed were accomplished whilst Iain sat at his home in Scotland, and me down here in Yorkshire!

This was the first time I was able to take my brand new set for a spin: a botanical lagoon built around my hot tub using flower fences and material. The first set was concentrating on this shooting space with a really lovely water-nymph like beauty look! All the flowers, pretty makeup and the diffused sun combined with fill to make a dreamy high-key set! It involved me having to jump in and out of the water every time something needed adjusting: and being maybe a little further away from the laptop than usual - but this did not affect comms and the standard killer rapport with Iain at all! He continued to give wonderful feedback as we shot away and (as per usual) had total understanding and high appreciation as I made physical adjustments to the scene allowing us to switch things around and get the shots. He had it in the bag - so many stunners in that set! :D Oh but it didn’t stop there - oh no! We had also chatted about doing proper bodyscapes at some point... Well, we kinda pushed the boat out that bit further and did bodyscapes with liquid latex!!!!! Oh my days did these images look insane. To look at them, they actually look quite specialised/like a complicated setup was needed - but the natural window light/a bathtub to catch the run-off and there we had it! Insanely abstract body shots captured entirely remotely. :) Iain is still getting used to the funny sounds I make when I tense and breath out/in for this kind of shot bless him (he always concerns after the models) but he saw/shot those savage moments which looked like something of a sculpture even straight outta the camera!

Total productivity! We keep raising the bar each time we do this haha!

And before I finish up here: a downright lovely afternoon catching up with/having a barrel to f laughs with and being on the same wavelength with this very lovely gentleman. :) Iain has a heart of gold, his communications are always spot-on and he’s as professional and respectful as can be when he’s working with others. I honestly can not recommend him highly enough - and it’s not a case of “if” we next shoot... It’s when haha! :D

Thank you so much for another cracking shoot Iain!

I had an amazing remote shoot with Iain. His pre comms were excellent and we got our shoot organised easily and without fuss. We discussed ideas and had a rough plan for our shot.

Iain was so nice to work with, very laid back, chatty, polite, friendly and I felt really at ease during our shoot.

I had a lovely little remote shoot with Iain from the U.K. to Cyprus!

Iain approached me for a shoot a few weeks ago and it couldn’t have been simpler to set up. Pre shoot comms were exemplary and everything was sorted and agreed in record time.

Meeting Iain was a delight.. such an easy going chap and so easy to have a natter with!

We shot a range of sets all using natural light and we produced some fantastic images, ranging from simply fashion nudes to bright, clear portraits and finishing off with splashes of colour against dark walls. I had a super time and I really hope we can do it again in the not too distant future.

Highly recommended.

Fourth shoot with Iain - and our third remote shoot! :D And they do just keep getting better and better...

After a heck of a lot of inspo flying around on the shoot before - Iain was absolutely full of ideas and suggestions for how we could develop the sets for another time! :) Because (the time before) was the first shoot we’d done at my home... I think it really did just cause this whirlwind of pondering (on both sides!) about what we could achieve now Iain had seen/worked in this space too, albeit not leaving his home. :P

By this point: I had a newly painted rainbow stairs too! And some gel lights! There is just never enough time in the day haha - oh we were on a roll! From a developed idea following on from a highly successful set we’d shot before involving mirrors galore, to discos in the shower and just some standard model going down the rainbow backwards kinda stuff. Y’know... A normal day then! :P Totally rock and roll!!!!! That’s what it was! And I just love how Iain has reached a great stage of confidence to just GO FOR IT when shooting remotely and help me with directing of positioning when I can’t see the live view/what’s in shot. He just gets right in the flow and has a great eye for the whole situation that makes the picture. A photographer who brings fantastic ideas to the table himself and likes to play a very active role in getting to that end goal - but someone who huuuugely values the input of the model too and welcomes suggestions. The lot! And that is correct for both working in-person and remotely with Iain. :)

The usual laughs were had: chatter which literal didn’t stop throughout the course of the shoot. A tremendously good rapport and relaxed no-pressure atmosphere. Iain has just the nicest nature and is so easy going: I just cannot imagine anybody not getting on with him as he’s polite, professional in his approach and so highly respectful of the model. :) Given our good working relationship now - we enjoy a bit of banter too haha... But even when I suggested that; if I go tumbling down the stairs in a ridiculous heap whilst getting into my cray upside down pose that Iain should log out of Zoom and pretend he knew nothing about it - he was having non of it! :P He’s just too nice haha!

So yes indeed - it’s another recommendation from meee! Working with Iain is a very enjoyable breeze and his comms are spot-on every time! We always get things sorted in no time at all and just have the day of the shoot to look forward to then. :) Roll in the next time!

Thank you again Iain!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others and look forward to shooting with him (remotely) again tomorrow!

Third shoot with Iain now - and our second one done remotely!! :D I think this shoot was the perfect example of how you can develop a really fabulous working rapport over the course of several shoots and get to a point where you really bounce off each other so well! We totally SLAYED the images we did this time at my home... Some of my favourite remote work to-date, and the start of yet further inspo that led Iain and I to book yet another remote shoot in the diary. :D

We had completely different environments for me to pose in this time (compared to the office/studio where we shot before. Starting with me throwing myself into the garden as huge snowflakes started falling! :P Iain didn’t actually seem too surprised, so I can tell he’s getting used to working with me haha! That gave us something very unique - before cracking on with cute boudoir style images, some implied/artistic window shots and even a touch of bridal with a twist! :D How we crammed all this good stuff in I have no idea... But I can confirm once again that Iain was a true sport to work with and really got in the groove with each set we did - his own mind spinning and thinking up things as the various shots were bagged, and dealing with the technicalities effortlessly after having the remote shooting experience now under his wing. :) Iain is extremely enthusiastic about shooting - that’s for sure! I honestly couldn’t wait to get his pictures transferred over to him because he took some seriously good stuff and I was so buzzing at the end of such a highly creative couple of hours. 😅

Time flew - as it has done in the past... Iain is the loveliest soul you could meet and talk to; so simply catching up with him and chattering away as we work is really nice. He communicates very well prior to any shoot: and conducts himself respectfully and well mannered all the time. A true gentleman with the biggest heart of gold who I will recommend time and time again - and always look forward to working with again! :D

Watch this space - cause Iain and I are well underway with discussions for our next forthcoming shoot and the rock-n-roll stuff we plan to do! And I’m turning my house into a full on photographic playground with the adrenaline I’m getting from all these ace shoots haha! See what it does to you?

Thank you so much Iain! And I cannot wait til next time (goes without saying!)

Legend and fantastic person. :)

- Keira’s experience take 3.

Iain embarked on a remote shoot with myself and J Black Photographic as the assistant and from pre shoot communications through to the shoot he was a perfect gentleman, polite and professional. Conversation easily flowed and we got some amazing results. He sent through a mood board of ideas and John and I worked to the brief providing the lighting and clothing he'd requested.

All in all, a fantastic shoot which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Had a wonderful second-ever shoot with Iain - this time we shot remotely for the first time! :D

Iain was completely new to remote shooting, so I was over the moon that he was willing to give it a go (given that I was unsure when I’d be able to tour his neck of the woods again). For our first shoot we worked at the studio/office space I have access to - we took our first shots outside on the terrace as the sun went down and then migrated to get some lovely images inside. It was a very productive shoot indeed! We used my lighting kit since the light disappears quite early in the evening when we were due to shoot - Iain was really easy going and happy to have my recommendations on how to light the different looks and sets that we did. Whilst it may feel like a photographer can’t see the full environment when working virtually - the teamwork and trust that photographers have in their models makes the process something which you can still bag lovely results. :) And I really feel like we did - from lingerie/portraits to reflections in a window and art nudes in the open studio space. Iain was still keen to be “involved” in the shoot and chat about garment possibilities and what concepts could be shot from the location. He really got into it. :D

We had fun shooting too which is always important. Positive interactions are a godsend during this pandemic/lockdown, so being able to work virtually, live chat and collaborate on ideas and creativity is very vital to keeping us going as creative folks. Iain and I had a laugh just as you would on a “normal” shoot. His patience was absolutely brilliant as I moved the sets around and he got to grips with the controls, which is a bit alien for a first-time remote shooter. But ultimately the session flowed so well. :D

A real gentleman who I would happily recommend to anyone... And we’re already planning to do it again!

Thank you so much Iain!
