Phil booked the studio recently to shoot for a painting he wanted to create .

His pre comms were excellent and arrived in plenty of time. Fully equipped with a Hand Drawn Mood board for him and the amazing Model @Ashley Vega .

He was courteous and polite to the model at all times giving her time to reset foe each pose.

Phil has a really great persona and was a pleasure to be in the company of.

It is without hesitation, that I can highly recommend Phil and look forward to seeing the finished piece of art.

He's got a very good eye for photography and I absolutely love the images I've gotten back.

Ivory Flame

Phil is really lovely, enthusiastic, slightly mad and literally 'away with the fairies' in the most wonderful of ways...I posed for him at Studio F/11 as reference for his magical fairy artworks! He brought along a giant tree-stump he'd made and lots of amazing drawing inspirations, and we worked through hundreds of pose and clothing variations. I can't wait to see what he creates with his beautiful work!!! Thank you very much Phil! :-D

Studio f/11 (In abeyance)

TL;DR: a good guest.

Studios for hire are or should aspire to be neutral spaces. No such thing exists in nature, and there are limits to the aspiration, but the studio has little justification for expressing a preference for one genre over another or even abilities in its customers.

And of course we avoid doing so. Your art is art, and that is fine. Art is not the only thing done in studios, and that also is fine.

Nevertheless it is satisfying to see two lots of useful work done in a single session and entertaining to be involved a little in getting it done. And it will be nice to do more of that.

I had a wonderful shoot with Phil on Sunday - he's great company and it was really exciting hearing about his plans for the paintings. He was superb with his direction, and came fully prepared with a booklet of poses that were really helpful.

I can't wait to see the results and I would love to work with Phil again - highly recommended!

Update: I modelled again for Phil's reference photos, this time outdoors in the woodland near my house (along with his lovely wife). I enjoyed interpreting his magical ideas as sketched (beautifully!!) in his notebook. I find his ideas completely enchanting! I am very much looking forward to the results of this next cluster of images we worked on together, knowing that the previous ones have been so wonderful. A pleasure!

I worked with Philip at Paul's Studio in Reading, for an artistic project of his - a fairy-esque oil painting series. Although it was a long time ago, I remember happily flitting about in different flying, jumping and sitting positions for his later use, and it was fun, safe, comfortable and all that jazz. I really liked the results that I saw, too - Philip is very talented and it's a great pleasure to have been involved in his work! I will happily model for him again when the situation arises.
