I met Gary for the first time yesterday at the attic studio for a 3hr shoot.

Pre coms were fantastic and he came up with some great ideas and the images looked fantastic.

I would 100% recommend Gary to all models he is very professional and great to work with.

I would definitely work with him again.

Me and Gary had another fantastic shoot in Leicester and then also at my home. So this is 3 references in one :)

Gary is one of my all time favourite photographers and we get on so well. I would call him a good friend.

Highly highly recommended, you wont meet a more gentle, kind, polite and nice photographer than Gary.

Gary's third visit to Two Wei and on his last visit (although we didn't know it at the time) he managed to not only take some cake away in his tummy but has also managed to bag a couple of those lovely PurplePort PIEs - Yum Yum!

Gary's a great house guest and exemplary photographer, working really professionally and cordially with his models to capture some wonderful images.

Recommended without reservation :)

I recently had a shoot with Gary at my studio in Leicester.

Pre-comms we’re great, I knew exactly what I needed and was fully prepped beforehand- no stress :)

The shoot flowed great from set to set, Gary was a pleasure to work with giving great direction, and keeping conversation throughout. He is even allowing me to edit some of my own photos which I absolutely love, so thank you!

It was an absolute pleasure, and I hope we get the chance to work together again in the future!

Thanks again,

Chloé :)

Gary was back again for another 1-2-1 hire with head model ChloeJulia.

As ever he was polite well mannered, and a pleasure to have in the studio, the pair of them took to several different sets and rolled through shooting. Seeing little highlights here and there on back of camera nad knowing the standard of Gary's work, I would always recommend working with him.

Great guy, great results!

Tick box: “do you recommend Gary Stuart - yes or no?”

Me: “Where’s the *HELL YAS!!!!* box?”

I mean I could leave it at that which would basically sum it up for our latest shoot. And all the rest for that matter. 🤪 But where’s the fun in that when you can rattle on and show your appreciation in the form of something that resembles a university dissertation. 😆 Coming to the same conclusion mind: Gary’s one of the cool kids!

Our latest shoot entailed a fantabulous day at the extra splendid Two Wei Location House. Our first time shooting here together - exciting times! And I knew we’d get some bangers before we even started. 😃 It was a nice day too meaning we went the full stretch exploring the wondrous outdoors of Two Wei - reminding ourselves to shoot in the attic right at the very end of the shoot! Honestly: Gary and I could’ve had two days there and we’d still be bouncing off each other like; “Ohhhh, what about this/that/the other!?” 😄 That’s just what it’s like working with Gary 🤷🏻‍♀️ he’s all about getting a true collaborative value going with the model and letting the ideas flow. He has boundless enthusiasm, but is always willing to hear input... Every shoot we’ve had has been totally different - yet every shoot we’ve had has boasted this amazing teamwork quality which is just priceless when there’s more than one person involved in making the pictures. 🙌

I am yet to share more of the fabulousness Gary snapped this time around - mostly down to a crazy re-start period after the lockdowns. But he kindly shared the days shooting with me, and it’s actually mind-blowing how many different sets we did! I must set a day aside to spam PP with these too-good-to-hide-away images! 😅 We’re already in discussion about our next shoot, and I’m filled with excitement to see what we can create this time... We just have that level of rapport now (which is so easy to form with Gary as he’s the most down to Earth photographer going!) so it’s a case of what magic will happen, not if the magic will happen! 👀

Nice guy?! Ermmmmm, am I a herbal tea addict?!? 😂 LOVELY PERSON! Through-and-through. Gary is the very definition of professional in his approach: always striving to make the model feel comfortable, and just has a really sweet demeanour about him. We simply do not shut up when we shoot hahaha... It’s probably what makes the shoots go so fast. 🙈 But the whole day is quite honestly a sociably-good, upbeat marathon - with bucket loads of creativity thrown in! Thus it goes without saying that Gary is someone I would recommend to other models without hesitation.

Thank you so much for another cracking shoot - until next time! ✨

It was my first time shooting with Gary and he was someone who I wanted to work with for quite a while. Pre comms were excellent and the plan was very clear. We decided to spilt the day into half location and half studio. We started on location at a beautiful park local to me. I brought along a few vintage dresses and we also shot some portraits by some flowers, these ones were some of my favourite shots from the day!

We then went onto the studio and chose Crossroads. Gary was a true gent and even bought me lunch on our way to the studio.

At the studio, we shot mainly fashion nude and art nude and Gary brought some beautiful fabrics for me to wrap myself around and this worked really well and gave a nice compliment to the images.

After the shoot we managed to get our diary’s together and book in another shoot! And I cannot wait!

I highly recommend Gary Stuart to any model whether you’re new or experienced!

Crossroads Studio

Gary hired the studio to work with Fay Noir. His pre shoot communications were great.

He obviously had a plan of what he was going to shoot with Fay and both were well prepared.

Gary is a very easy to get along with person and shows the utmost respect to both the model and the studio gear.

He worked quickly with his model and the whole shoot was a totally relaxed affair.

I hope he will be back and I have no qualms about recommending him to any model or Studio

I had another fabulous shoot with Gary last weekend whilst on my first in person tour of the year.

This time we worked at the fabulous Two Wei Location House, we used a mix of the outside and inside areas covering several different looks. It's always fun working with Gary, he's a really down to earth relaxed guy and is happy for the model to have input on outfits/sets etc :)

From what I saw on the back of the camera we got some lovely images and I can't wait to work with Gary again in the future! Highly recommended by me :D

Gary now holds the record for toll bridge crossings prior to finding us - bet he wishes it had been Christmas day as it would've been free :) :)

We're so glad he made it though as he's a great guy and a real pleasure to host. He worked really well with his model and we've no reservation at all in recommending him to other models and studios alike.

Hope to see you again soon (now you know where we are ;) )

The Attic Studio

Gary was back at the studio today for a 1-2-1 on a model /portfollio builder day. Great pre shoot communications, always arrives on time with everything needed and a detailed plan of what he will shoot.

Always polite and respectful to the models and gets great results, works hard throughout the shoot and the pre planning with the model is a great success and shows that very professional approach.

We highly recommend to all and welcome back anytime. Thanks again Gary for the booking.

I have admired Garys portfolio for a while now so I was thrilled to have a 1-2-1 booked with him at Attic Studio. He was professional and respectful and full of creative ideas for our shoot. He was easy to talk to and we had lots of laughs during our time together.

Apart from scaring me in the street (my fault not his, I was away with the fairies :P ) I loved every second of shooting with him and would love to work with him again

Thank you again Gary

Another amazing shoot with Gary! I can’t remember how many shoots we have had together but I have a feeling it’s around 10!

Gary is one of the kindest human beings I have ever met and is respectful, considerate, gentlemanly and polite. He is lovely to work with as he is happy for models to get creative and go with the flow. He is lovely to chat with and I enjoy catching up with him every time we shoot.

Highly recommended

Gary was the first photographer to contact me about my retouching services for images in my style I am now offering. From start to finish it was a great first commission to edit some images he had taken before all the craziness of the pandemic. Gary responded quickly to comms and the commission was completed in a few days. Thank you for trusting me with your images to edit.

I have had a fair few remote shoots with Gary now and he seems to be getting the hang of how it all works which is great. Gary and I have worked together face to face many times in the past so it’s great to be able to work remotely.

The shoot was planned in advance so that we could prepare for what ideas we were going to create. Gary made sure we had everything we needed to do a certain set he wanted to do. Then myself and my husband made a set for some lingerie images. We also used a moodboard to help us get our ideas flowing. Between us ideas are plentiful.

Gary is friendly, chatty and great to work with. I am looking forward to our next remote shoot and can’t wait to see what we create. Gary is highly recommended from me! Thanks Gary!

Lovely to work with Gary again, this time for a remote shoot.

I know Gary was unsure about remote shoots so I made sure that I went through everything with him before, during and after the shoot about what happens. Gary took to remote shooting really well and understood everything I showed him. He had control over the camera the whole time and the images look really great.

Comms between us is always really good so we both knew what we wanted out of the shoot. It always helps to have an idea of what the photographer would like to achieve for the shoot so this helped massively especially for remote shooting.

We did various sets and we even had some time for some gel work. Really great shoot.

Gary is a great photographer, person and always great to work with. I would highly recommend working with him and I can't wait for our next remote shoot! Thanks Gary!

Gary has been to the studio on many occasions and know his way around with ease. Todays shoot was with the talented Keira Lavelle. Well organised, prompt and always polite and considerate.

A pleasure to have as a regular client. We love seeing the results from Gary's shoot as he's a great photographer.

Pleasure to have in the studio, highly recommended to all and we will see you again soon no doubt.

My latest shoot with Gary! And amazing as ever... It’s a reoccurring theme now it seems that we have a whopping great shoot (usually on location) and then manage to pick up another cheeky session not long after! :D This time we revisited the awesome Attic Studio in Leicester as part of a mini-tour I was doing. My first since the apocalypse took place! It was really lovely and reassuring to get back in the swing of things with such amazing people on board my tour (Gary literally being the prime example!) So thank you sooooo much Gary for being crackers enough to jump on the Keira wagon again haha! :D

As has been the case with each and every one of our shoots: we churned our some sublime piccies. :P We pretty much operate like clockwork now: Gary is always visually enthusiastic and will throw suggestions at me of ideas and things to bring etc. And on the day the team rapport just sets in and away we go! This time we were hitting the gels, creative makeup, flouncy fashion... I’d barely got chance to show off some of the corkers from our last shoot and then Gary so generously left me with another batch of fab shots and the dilemma of which to upload first hehe! :P So yes: to say it was highly prolific and all happenin’ is a bit of an understatement really. Gary is just such a pleasure to work with and the drive he puts into every shoot just gets the buzz ticking with even more inspiration. I think it’s reasonable to say that it’s times like shooting with wonderful photographers like Gary which is the epitome of reasons to love my job. :D

Same ole’ situ: talking NON-STOP, having good friendly banter about herbal tea and all sorts, laughing and generally bouncing off each other. The working atmosphere is a combination of the mad-est madhouse, wavelengths galore, arty-farty nerdiness... And probs a good dollop of Cloud-Cuckoo-Land vibes to be fair. :D In the most tremendous way possible! What I’m trying to explain is: Gary is a true joy in every way to shoot alongside, and very easy to get on with.

Professional to the core, perfect communications every time, biggest heart you ever saw - yup! Shoot with Gary. He’s ENORMOUSLY recommended by this model person/thing. :P

You’re a ledge Gary - but I probably told you about 60 times this year already! :D

Thanks a bundle fella!

You know what; I am legit going to sound like a broken record with my opening line because I bet you any money that I’ve said the same about all our other shoots... But whatevs! THIS WAS OUR BEST SHOOT YET!!!! :D

I was absolutely thrilled to have the chance to work with Gary on location again: this time braving the wilderness of Yorkshire and some cool new sites that I had only very recently scouted out. And you know something? This man deserves the medal of honour! Not least for putting up with an absolutely off-her-rocker model for a full day, but literally for surviving all the assault courses I gave him for getting to some of the more adventurous places. Climbing up waterfalls - with the water beating at you! Through crumbling buildings with 6 million steps and obstacles. HIKING TO ONE OF THE HIGHEST POINTS IN HALIFAX?!?! Seriously: Gary just smashed the lot and never once complained! He’s just the most easily pleased and down to earth person that he’s even down for a complimentary flask of my bizarre herbal tea. That’s what the real medal of honour is for. ;) There ain’t many photographers I can say braved a whole pint of the stuff as hydration fuel. Most people just look at me in disgust when I’m sat there with a grin and my own little flask. :P

So a little hint before about the type of places we visited, but it doesn’t cover the full breadth of productivity that we were blessed with. Not even close! So imma start from the beginning and ramble away...

Before our shoot had even begun, we were faced with a minor obstacle/uncertainty which subsequently threatened part of our plan. Abiding by the rules at the time of booking: we wanted to also shoot some nice creative portraits at my home, replicating essentially a more studio-like setting with my light provisions etc. But then just days before - government guidelines changed to create some uncertainty about being able to do this (or even invite Gary in for a cup of tea/lunch as planned!) Whilst picnic ideas and the flasks of tea could be improvised for lunch and what-not, we reeeeeeaaaaalllly had our heart set on these portraits and creative makeup which I just love to model as a style. It was quite a blow to think that we couldn’t give it our all with styling and a careful lighting setup as planned... But nothing was to stop this team!!!!! One of the locations (old derelict/open air mill) was on the agenda anyway. So we improvised! We created a mini outdoors portrait set and you know what? Hands down those are some of my favourite portraits ever taken!!!! We were reliant mostly on the sun and how generous it was feeling on a rather unpredictable day, plus a bit of a continuous light to fill... But we got blessed! Lovely sunshine hair light and spectacular rays to bounce around the place as needed. Gary was just a soldier - this sun wasn’t staying constant, it was bloody in and out every two minutes! But Gary just remained cool as a cucumber; persevering, observing, adjusting... And not to mention bouncing off each other like a prolific team to get the best results possible!!!! :D Covid wasn’t about to stop that happening, even if it did mess up our plans! Talk about taking a “boooo” situation and making even more BANGIN’ stuff happen?! More than we could’ve imagined!

Now with all that essay you’d think that was the main highlight of the shoot... Oh no: just one haha! :P From here we went on to smash sublime nudes and edgy fashion in the urbex setting, before moving to waterfalls and water nymphs with a very magical feel (totally different to the first sets) and finishing up with a colossal view over Halifax before calling it a day. I really struggled to put my finger on my favourite part of the day... I was just buzzing about everything by the time we wrapped up. And remained full of energy that evening haha! :D

Now there’s nothing at all new with regards to the truly lovely company that Gary is for the duration of a shoot. :) He’s such a nice guy: professional and courteous where shoot etiquette is concerned, and a real barrel of laughs for the social value of a shoot. We had a good lot of catching up to do for sure, but I don’t think we actually ever shut up bahahaha! :P The entire day just went like lightening... It was all go with a nice chilled out picnic lunch in the countryside and aside from the beautiful images we produced: I just really like working with Gary and the utterly wonderful rapport that we have now.

Recommended? Maybe... HELL YESSSSS!

Legit gonna test his tea endurance next time though with a more stronger one. :P What we on now Gary, level 3?
