My second shoot with lovely John, more than 6 years after our first in the Scottish Highlands, was a remote shoot from my place on the south coast of England. I was overjoyed to get to work with him again - John has a wonderful warm energy and a delightfully imaginative sense of humour - I absolutely love engaging and creating beautiful imagery with him.

His ability to translate his ideas through inspirational images and descriptions is spot on; it was easy to create sets to accomodate his vision and hopefully I did that justice - the images are certainly very beautiful!

I had my first shoot With John in Dundee and wow, what an absolutely lovely, talented, approachable, knowledgeable, creative chap!

Truly loved this shoot. John's pre-comms were great, precise, full of detail and information, easy to follow and prompt replies.

Whilst shooting, John is relaxed, but organised, knows exactly what he is looking for and is still open to ideas.Can't wait to see the images!

Such a fabulously creative first shoot with John! And it was a remote session too! Showing you don’t have to be together in person to get those creative juices flowing!!

He was such an easy going photographer, very enjoyable to work with and he remained professional and respectful throughout.

Full of fabulous creative ideas but also happy for me to pose freely and throw in my own ideas, working together to achieve the perfect shot!

It was fab to finally meet John, I must admit I have been a huge admirer for many years but not had the chance to shoot until now, albeit be it remotely.

Ivory and John spoke before hand and arranged the various sets that we would use and John directed us through the idea's he had and created beautiful images I am proud to be in :)

Firstly huge apologies for the delayed reference John! It was absolutely no reflection on the shoot itself!...

I have to start by saying I had an absolutely wonderful shooting experience with John! He contacted me about shooting remotely and I jumped at the chance as he has a beautiful portfolio or creative and artist photography!...

His comms were brilliant, he sent a mood board over of images which allowed me to style and set things up that worked with those styles, and it just gave me an idea of what he was looking to achieve which was brilliant!...

I have to admit that I was nervous about the shoot, just because I didn't want John to be disappointed with what I had put together, but I have to say the shots were absolutely gorgeous!

John was absolutely lovely, friendly and chatty making the shoot fly by!...

It was a real collaboration when working with John, we worked at getting the composition and angles remotely and just changed things up with little suggestions here and there!...

An absolutely lovely shoot experience!

I would highly recommend John to any models who shoot remotely certainly!... But I do hope that one day I will get the chance to work with him in person!...

What else can I say about working with John??? I just cannot give this gent enough credit! 😁 So for those that don't want to read my ramblings to the end - take this as another PHENOMENALLY BIG recommendation from me - in relation to our latest shoot. 😀

It's been strange getting back to touring properly again this side of the pandemic carnage. I typically come to Scotland with a view to shoot over two weeks or so as well - so it's quite an operation even when you're not thinking about doing everything by the book at a fragile point in time. But one thing that really helped was when amazing people like John offered colossal support and positive encouragement which helped me get back into the full-scale adventure swing with confidence: everything from his enthusiasm in the beginning to go for it, his great comms, ever awesome local location knowledge and just utterly wonderful nature! The simple fact that I was able to start travelling and teaming up with people again who I rate so highly in this industry means so much just by itself. 😊

Also - John knows where to go for the good wine and tea hehe! He's the man! 👀

Our shoot was at a location brand new to me! It never ceases to amaze me how many stunning places there are in this gorgeous part of the world. 😃 So going with John to such places (with his top rate taste of scenes that make good pictures!) is a huuuuuuuge bonus for me in how lucky I feel to see/breath/experience these beautiful sites, and then do energetic modely things whilst a bloody good photographer (as John most definitely is) snaps away at me. 😁 The images are flippin' beautiful (obviously - they are from John!) but they speak so much in the memories of laughs from the day and the complete adventure vibe as a whole. The entertainment this time was ducking and diving in and out of hidey holes, dodging spectators and snatching opportunities. 🤣 We actually got talking to a few and it was just one of those hilarious days where every two minutes you're looking at each other and bursting into a grin/laughter. I still don't know how we seized cheeky shots at that waterfall viewing spot! 😆 It didn't stop there either: riverside goodness, autumnal lovin', little cave houses, woodland auras, reedbeds... The full works! And the most incredible part: we predominantly managed with minimal changing of the look! The surroundings and John's insanely quick-thinking just worked so well as we made our way through the trails, shooting when each serene opportunity occurred and then soldiering onwards!

John is, without doubt, an exceedingly talented photographer. You can put him in a studio, outdoors, or any other type of venue for that matter - he will make magic out of the resources before him, stretching whatever available light/lighting equipment to it's full potential and even then his brain is ticking-over thinking about how to style the shot and also offering direction! His got a very sharp photo eye... He scans everything about a scene that has the potential to make a picture, leaving nothing unexplored/no stoned unturned to ensure that when he clicks that shutter - the result will be no less than fabulous! I think it's a general industry fact that every model adores working with John for his evident passion and artistic drive as a photographer. 🤗

Some of us just come for the Buttries though...

😂😂😂 So if you haven't already heard: John likes to feed models. He is partial to bringing delicious moreish snacks, picking up lunch for models and working at a pace that is relaxed, and has plenty of breaks to allow everyone to stuff their faces. 😜 Just one way that John goes above and beyond to make models feel completely content during his shoots... He has a strict policy in fact to look after models with the greatest levels of respect and care. You wouldn't find a kinder, more nice-mannered and courteous human if you tried! Utterly professional, down to every last cell. Mad as a box of frogs sometimes (when his company is also mad - I can't say nuffing!🤣) But genuinely the nicest person on the planet. 🌟

I was really thrilled when John arranged a remote shoot with myself as I had admired his work for a while. John sent me his ideas and I couldn’t wait to start and get creative together. I always say that I’m happy to build sets so this is what we did and I’m so pleased we did because the images worked so well.

We worked on various set ups from portraits to art nude, experimenting with different materials and outfits I had. John was a joy to work with and I love how creative he is. I adore being able to express my emotions and poses during a shoot and it was great to feel comfortable to explore that. I felt relaxed and enjoyed the whole shoot. I hope we get to work together in the future and I would highly recommend working with him. Thanks John for a great shoot.

I had the most fabulous shoot with John on my recent trip to Scotland! John took me to the most wonderful beach that genuinely looked like it could have been plucked from a tropical destination - and for once the weather matched as it was quite literally the best weather I have ever experience on a visit to Scotland! So much so John was sporting a fabulous towel hat throughout our shoot haha!!

I always have such a blast on my shoots with John and this time was no different. We got some incredible images and had tonnes of laughs! Roll on next time!

Working with John is mega any day of the week... Working with John at the beach on a fabulous day in Bonnie Scotland is just as good a shenanigans as one can get! 🤩 My first Scotland tour since the modern day apocalypse - it all kind of took shape in a relatively impromptu manner to what I usually do as it was still in the early stages of things being relaxed. But; I honestly cannot tell you how wonderful it was to get back out there, and how having someone like this fantastic human on board makes it all the more stupendous!

I’ve only ever shot with John the once on location before now - that was a duo with the stunning Ivory Flame which was very specific in the story-like sets we were doing for the series. This time: it was like “ahh let’s go to the beach!” And that we did - watching John sprout into action the second his eyes seized a photo opportunity was the best thing ever, he’s such a bloody amazing creative. ☺️ Obviously in the studio it’s very much pre-planned in terms of the light (which John works like a magician in controlled settings) but when you’re out in the wilderness you then become at the mercy of what the light and elements/environment are doing at that time, thus you do end up thinking on your feet a bit more. John was literally lunging from one picture to the next and once he had it - he knew it! It didn’t take him long to tinker with the conditions at every sight and turn even the most simplest of locations into something spectacular. 🙂 That’s what he does - and what he’s darn epic at too! His pose demonstrations are pretty legendary too, but we found ourselves rather distracted this time by a random naked spectator showing an interest in our antics which became the top giggle-fodder of the shoot! 😅

In all honesty: every shoots a giggle with John... He’s the jazziest character who couldn’t be more down to earth if he tried! He’s sweet, kind and courteous: not to mention full of respect/professionalism, and then he’ll randomly (usually very calmly) pop a funny out of nowhere and the next minute you’re all in stitches! 🤣 Shooting with John is worth every nanosecond just for the laughs and nattering - he just so happens to be an exceptionally talented photographer too who always makes the most beautiful images no matter what he puts himself too!

So yassss - it’s another highly recommended essay from the Keirameister. It’s looking like John will be due another one from me before long as well - he’s brave! Or probs just part of the crazy club - all the cool kids are!

Another wonderful shoot with John on my recent trip North!

I always look forward to our shoots together, I feel so comfortable and at ease in his company that the whole shoot is just so much more pleasant and such a fun atmosphere too. Plus it's always hilarious witnessing his modelling skills :P

As always we worked through a few different looks and sets, really working on perfecting certain looks and poses too and truly collaborating together to achieve fab overall images :D

Yet another awesome shoot in the bag and as always lovely catching up with him! Without a shadow of a doubt recommended by me and hope to catch him when I visit again next year :)

It was an absolute pleasure to meet and work with John for the first time doing a mixture of art nude, erotic and fetish images at Studio RoRo in the Fife area. We had a very fun and highly productive shoot producing some exquisite and beautiful imagery together.

John's pre shoot communications were excellent, he picked me up and dropped me off at the train station and was kind enough to get some munchies in and I appreciated him keeping the brew's flowing. We had a quick cuppy before starting, John giving me a wee shoot plan before getting down to business. He also brought along some fantastic outfits for me to use as props and gave great direction with clear instruction during shooting with an abundance of posing ideas but also was happy for my poses to flow freely. During shooting he made sure I was happy with everything, warm enough and safe.

John's photography speaks for itself and will definitely fulfill your appetite for artistic, provocative, sensual and powerful images full of a mixture of elegance and strength both in the studio or on location so it was a real joy to work together with him.

He excels in his field and is very knowledgeable, creative and dedicated, paying great attention to detail and working so hard to achieve some outstanding images which we did just that. We got through a good few, well thought out concepts and lighting set ups together, this guy really knows his stuff and made everything look so easy.

Such a friendly and welcoming person, respectful, energetic, professional and a complete gentleman. His photography is exceptional and he is just such a nice person.

I had my first shoot with the lovely John the shoot was Gothic themed. John is very professional, creative and organised photographer.John had lots of great ideas and he had great communication throughout the shoot as well. John brought a few gorgeous dresses with him that were perfect for the shoot as well.

I had lots of fun during the shoot and I love the images we created. I would highly recommend John to any model and I hope we can work together again in the future.

I've shot with John many many times now and consider him my wee Scottish Pal! ;) It has actually been a couple of years since we last shot, but we fell back easily into chat and tea drinking. John has always been great at organising shoots and workshop days for his models and it has always been something i have appreciated. We had a day in the studio working on fine art nudes and portraits mainly, with some fluffy skirts thrown in for good measure. Shooting with John is always a delight and he is so kind and respectful towards his models.

Very very highly recommended - next time hopefully we will go on an epic outdoor adventure ;)

He booked me for a studio shoot in a well equipped and comfortable location

Aswell as ferrying me from and back to the station he’d brought along a selection of beautiful outfits for me to model in

Lighting was tricky to work with but John was clear and definite in his direction

Art Nude is my favourite genre and John’s expert eye and adept skill could only compliment that

I thoroughly enjoyed this brilliant learning experience and look forward to seeing the results
